It depends on LMA. If he leaves, I think Portland should just blow it up. Why keep Lopez and Wes if LMA leaves? You have some young guys in McCollum, Batum, and Lillard already.
I know it sucks to compete for just 2 seasons, but if you just keep everyone minus LMA and can't sign anyone worthwhile, where does that leave the team? Of course, you could do that and punt one year and hope 2016 lands a big time FA but true max FAs don't really flock to Portland.
If LMA stays, I definitely keep Wes and Wes would have no reason to leave if they match.
Honestly, I want LMA to stay in Portland. Finish out what they've built there.

I have no room to talk considering the state of the Sixers but does resigning LMA and Wes really make the Blazers contenders? I will avoid using the treadmill title but it almost felt like yall kinda maxed out there a bit and maybe letting LMA walk could be a better "longterm" move.
The Blazers are in a precarious situation, our team was great at the beginning of the year but the injuries and inconsistent bench really impacted the ability to move ahead post season.
By reilo Go To PostIf those are Wes' best options, why wouldn't he just resign with Portland? He certainly could. Probably even front runners to get him. But if LMA leaves, why would he stay? He'd be better served in ATL.
Could also depend on how much cash POR are willing to tie up in injured players.

You're not moving on and re-building, and you're not even close to contending. You're truly just treading water.

By Mamba Go To Postyeah, they really have to fix this. It's pretty much in no one's interest, outside of Max RFAs, to sign an extension. Ever. Why would they fix it? I'm pretty sure the current rules are intentional.

It's called preparing yourself for every situation. That way you can't be let down when you are already ready to defend everything. Knicks fans got wrecked because they were hyped for the two bigs. They should have prepared for all scenarios.
I'm ready.
also Winslow's tape is actually pretty good. I think he will be a nice player.
By Dark PhaZe Go To PostConcensus for Wiz fans for the pick are Jerian Grant, Kevon Looney and Tyus Jones.
*shrugs*
I'm high on Jones but he's the only guy I've really scouted. Thoughts on Grant and Looney?
Grant someone who can contribute right away. Will be an amazing ing upgrade to Ramon session because he can play the 1-2 which means less minutes for Wall and Beal.
Looney can shoot and rebound well for a big. Just need to bulk up a d add some polish to his game

It truly pains me to watch Whiteside beasting. It felt like I was the only guy who still believed in him after the Kings cut him from our official roster after a summer league game... everyone here clowning about him being all length, no skills.

By KingGondo Go To PostGrant is mature, could contribute immediately. Seems like one of the lowest-risk guys in the draft, but his ceiling isn't terribly high.
Don't know about Looney.
I disagree about his ceiling... I really like his game
he kinda reminds of a Roy type of player...
Cameron Payne write up from Chad Ford Big Board 10.0I actually think he'd a great fit for Indy. He's the right pick for Charlotte too tbh but whatever. Dekker or Kaminsky
"Payne continues to draw serious interest to the point that he's getting several looks in the lottery according to multiple team sources. He was the highest-ranked player on our Big Board to go through athletic testing and shooting drills at the combine and tested well on both accounts. His length, solid athleticism and craftiness with the ball, combined with terrific interviews have him ranked as the third-best point guard in the draft by about 80 percent of the NBA folks I spoke with. Two teams I've heard are especially high on him in the lottery β the Hornets and Pacers. The Jazz (if they decide to move Trey Burke) and Thunder also are possibilities in the lottery."
Dammit I'm hungry enough that PB&J didn't do the trick but I'm too tired to cook anything that will require cleanup.
Catch 22.

By KingGondo Go To PostIsn't Scott Skiles universally reviled by the players he coached?I think he's one of those dudes that just has a short shelf life before he gets tuned out. It was a love fest in Milwaukee for the first like two years because they were winning. Then they started losing and suddenly nobody wanted to have the disciplinarian in their ear.
