By Vahagn Go To Post5 years 80 million is an insane offer for a backup role player. He's just being stupid - lebron got absolutely everyone paid.lol you can't be serious
I'm not a lebron apologist by any stretch, but he hasn't left anyone out to dry
By DY_nasty Go To Postlol you can't be serious
Should have clarified I meant on this Cavs team. Everyone got paid
I mean he pretty much set the guy up for failure... the dude's agent was LBJ's jersey plug.. LBJ's off season's comments about resigning TT and his homie trying to bluff the Cavs back fired.. LBJ went ahead and signed and TT passed a good deal..
By Shun Go To PostThe Cavs situation is an entire mess. How do you not even get a contract finalised before the deadline. Tristan Thompson is also all levels of stupid to think that he would even get this money…why not go for it? they can't replace TT and having him is better than not having him.
his argument is that with the cap increasing his contract will switch from the max to a more normal contract.
it doesn't hurt the cavs flexibility much only Gilbert's wallet.
LeBron can basically punish Gilbert without hurting his situation. This is excellent.
max him!
No body smart is giving a role player max. Tristan need to get on with that bs.
Hell Ed Davis brings more to the table than Tristan

The Barnes and Thompson scenarios are games of chicken. They aren't trying to get paid based on their open market value, but rather the fact that they are decent pieces on championship caliber rosters. The idea is, given the cap scenarios, you can't replace me, so you have no reason NOT to pay me besides the hit to your wallet.
I think the Cavs may have to end up paying simply based on circumstance. Gilberts failure to keep LeBron around the first time, the multiple failures during the rebuild (and the cost savings they accrued during that period)--Tristans agent is arguing there's no reason for him to get cheap now given past events.
For Lacob though, there's no way you pay Barnes max. The West is too tough even with all your weapons, and if it were up to Steph, he'd be asking BEYOND the super max for services rendered once his contract is up.

Ugh the Jazz really screwed up by letting Hayward sign a deal with another team instead of just signing him outright. That 4th year player option is going to be declined...

Getting an offer of 5/80 on a team with 3 max deals already in place and having the highest payroll in the league can't be anything other than taken care of.
He'd be getting the same kind of guaranteed money as LMA and one year longer. The deal he wanted was the same pay structure almost as LMA's. That's absurd. It's fine blaming Rich Paul, but agents work for players. TT should have thanked him and accepted the 5/80 offer instead of having listened/held firm at 5/96.
By diehard Go To Postk throw away 100Yeah, Rox ain't winning shit.
By Dark PhaZe Go To Posti might drop 100 on the rockets to chip
that roster is fukin stacked
100 to win 1600
Great odds. I would have expected 100 for 900.
By Dark PhaZe Go To Postdont think yall realize how much them having aint shit at the PG position hurt themDrunk driving fresh outta rehab needs the ball in his hands with a shit attitude and less than complimentary skillset to their MVP-caliber shooting guard is now "aint shit at PG?"
By db Go To PostWelp finished it faster than I thought I would. Here's an av Alpha until Rolo does something comical in a Knicks jersey…
True, but can you still make him wear a Knicks jersey instead? :P
It's weird though his favorite place is Disneyland and there are tons there. No one has brought this contradiction to his attention though.

John Henson and the Milwaukee Bucks have agreed upon a four-year, $44 million contract extension.per woj
The deal could increase to $48 million if Henson reaches incentive clauses.
The deal also includes a signing bonus and front-loaded payments.
great value deal imo

great value deal imo
overpay henson to steal him from milwaukee or waste two high firsts
hmm
<3
I think the Henson signing is a good value. Tall (if skinny) shot blocker that may eventually develop an okay midrange shot. 11 mil for that seems like what will be the future going rate.

Paul was promising him the moon and he bought it. Having LBJ in your corner didn't work as well as he thought.
