Thanks fam.
4. Lakers- Emmanuel Mudiay - They need a center and will choose one if they win the lottery if not it’s Mudiay. He reminds me of Tyreke Evans too much. Nice size and good athlete but can’t shoot. Lakers would be wise if they chose Mario Hezonja who can shoot 3’s and is an elite athlete. He’s a better Klay Thompson who can dribble
lol
I never understand doing mock drafts this early, especially right before the lottery. Wouldn't it be a lot more useful to do a mock draft after the draft positions are known?
I just hope my Celtics can get some talent this summer and James Young develop. Also hope we trade Kelly Olynk, tired of seeing his bum ass.
Polynice goes from impersonating a cop to impersonating a scout?
Oh he has us taking Dekker? Maybe he does know what he is talking about.

This is pretty good
"Willie Cauley-Stein- shot blocker who doesn’t rebound for his size and athletic abilities. CanĂt shoot, canĂt post up, has trouble finishing anything that is not a dunk. Body contact throws him off balance. Poor man’s Tyson Chandler."
Ok cool, thought I was going crazy for a second.

By Moris Go To Post17 hours brehsI would hope you'd be able to be happy for us after that terrible season we just had.
I swear if OKC gets a top pick.
:3
We're getting the 14th pick, and we'll try to offload some of the dead weight on our roster to trade up for a higher spot.
Well if the 46th pick got us somebody on the rookie first team, the 27th pick should as well, right?
Yes, I'm prepared for the worst.

I shouldn't be saying this, but I kind of want the Lakers to get the #1 pick/Towns so the Clippers can eventually go back in irrelevancy. Almost all my respect for them is gone after that choke job.
By RBK Go To PostDon't mind me.Not sure what they did to warrant your respect in the first place. Lucked into Blake, Basketball Reasoned their way to CP3, and hired Doc as a GM who has squandered all their assets and left them with Turkoglu playing backup minutes and Spencer Hawes as their marquee free agent signing.

None of the huge market teams (Lakers, Clips, Nets, Knicks) deserve success. They're all horribly run.
By Moris Go To PostIts a stretch to say Clips or Lakers are horribly run especially next to Brooklyn n NewYork.Well in all reality, the Nets are the only poorly run team.
EDIT: Maybe the Lakers too.
By Moris Go To PostIts a stretch to say Clips or Lakers are horribly run especially next to Brooklyn n NewYork.I know right? Especially coming from a Thunder fan who used the word "warrant".
What the hell did the Thunder do to deserve respect after stealing a team by conspiring with Stern with Durant already there and traded away the almost MVP for nothing?
By RBK Go To PostWell in all reality, the Nets are the only poorly run team.

What the fucklol.
The Knicks are one of the worst run teams in all of sports. If we judge them solely on the 'Phil era' they still 4 year maxed an injury prone 30 year old. Lakers haven't even had an opportunity to fuck up yet under Jim.
Is linsivvi a Lakers fan? Stop using names I know nothing about.
You don't think it's even a little hypocritical saying Melo got a bad contract but let's pay Kobe 50 MILLION because we got a new TV deal? Either way, the Lakers appeasing Kobe which led to Dwight's departure and to a lesser extent Pau's departure isn't a fuck up? How did the Nash trade turn out too seeing how they fleeced 4 picks out of Jim Buss for a 38 year old PG? Should I bring up the coaching carousel since Phil left?
I'm speaking in recent years, as in the last 5 years, criticizing the Isaiah run Knicks in 2015 is silly at this point. They have a legitimate excuse considering what happened to Amar'e. As for the Clippers, can't really place blame on Doc(GM or coach) after a 3-1 collapse.

So everyone's on the Mario Hezonja hype train now?
I should be a scout.
And no, dude can't dribble. Like at all. It's easily the worst part of his game.

By knux-future Go To Postevery team in the top 5 of the lottery is ran poorly…that is why they are there. But tonight they can luck into something!
I'm unsure Flip Saunders is fit to run a basketball team, and he's probably leaving New York with the fourth pick and Porzingis in his pocket. But he might not! He could leave with a new D'Angelo Russell and a backcourt that's set for a decade.
By knux-future Go To Postevery team in the top 5 of the lottery is ran poorly…that is why they are there.Teams that spent years contending with aging stars are designed by the system to fall into the lottery.
Besides, I'd say teams that are picking say, 10-14 and not due to an injury season are the ones that are ran most poorly.

I'll admit I only like him due to his rep as an asshole. That asshole gene is important for a wing to have.
it is also a coping mechanism on missing on the PGs

Rodeo, I wish good things for your team but if we fall to 5 and you guys fall to 4...I might have to root for you to take the Kristaps bullet. I want no parts of that.
By knux-future Go To Postevery team in the top 5 of the lottery is ran poorly…that is why they are there. So I'm taking this as you feel that Philly shouldn't have taken a chance on Bynum?
The Magic isn't really poorly run either, this upcoming season should be their turning point.
By Fenderputty Go To PostSince when was David Stern running our team during the CP3 trade fiasco?I would first like to say thanks to Stern for essentially getting us Dwight. Good looking fam.
Even if the trade went through, the Lakers are most likely in a worse situation considering how much of the cap would have been tied to Kobe/CP3.

maybe their #1 overall pick won't end up playing for the Lakers again
Lakers may have paid Kobe 50 mil to maintain a cap floor, tank, and sell jerseys
but at least they didn't bid against themselves and give Rashard Lewis 120 US Dollars to play basketball. Don't recall them trading for Vince or Arenas of all people to get over the hump either.

Except Tyreke is a better athlete. Same body but Tyreke is way more explosive.
EDIT: It might work to Mudiay's advantage since Tyreke can get to the basket whenever he wants and does, even though he shouldn't. Cuz he's terrible around the basket and can't pass.
Wouldn't be surprised if Mudiay drops way out of the top 5. Dude can't shoot or defend to save his life right now.

FO basically paid Kobe to retire in LA which is potentially better than to try and force contention with an aging roster (with the injuries it definitely wouldn't have worked anyway.)
Pau leaving hurt but the other option was for him to stay and we miss the playoffs anyway? pass. Dwight staying wouldn't have made LA significantly better either, dude missed like half the season. We most likely would have just lost our draft pick this year. So yea, I'm completely fine with Kobe's deal given the alternative.
Every GM in the league makes that Nash trade, it was a no brianer. He was amazing in Phoenix at 38 years old, he was still styling on all the young dudes. Can you name one player on that Phoenix roster that was a result of any of those picks? They ended up with Brandon Knight and Kendall Marshall after adding Plumlee and Ennis. And now Nash is coaching Laker rookies, not seeing a fleecing.
Jim has only had complete say over one coaching hire so far, and Scott isn't terrible for a team that's just developing rookies and sophomores. He'll need to go in like 2 seasons, but for now he has done a great job making sure those D-leaguers give complete effort. His theories are dumb, but he has a handle on that locker room.

They really don't have an excuse for Amare. The best medical staff in the NBA flagged Amare's knees as a disaster and NY fucked around and paid him anyway, everyone knew it from day 1. LA threw away 2 years of possible contention (that couldn't possiblly happen) to pay Kobe, while NY is currently gambling with their future to pay Melo in hopes he can stay healthy and attract FAs over the next 4 years. NY is actually lucky Melo went down this year or he would have hurt them long past that 4 year window. If they can't lnad a legit top 10 talent in the next season or 2 or draft one this year, they're pretty much a wrap for the next 5+ seasons.
You can totally blame GM Doc for that collapse, his team was shallow. He got lucky to get good minutes from Austin/Glen Davis etc when he did, there was no way they were gonna be able to not hurt The Clips eventually.

I could be wrong, but that didn't happen over the last 5 years. At the least, not under Hennigan.
Superstars want out all the time. You can even say the 2009 Magic overachieved since they had a tailor-made ECF against Cleveland.
As far as Lakers-Slanet...you guys are just delusional.
The Magic are currently exhibit a for alot of people as to why tanking or at least being in the lottery every year is bad. They basically have been in the same spot the last 3-4 years with no improvement despite having solid talent on the roster. I'd like to think it was coaching (and it was..Jacque was awful) but the fact that they stayed awful after he left was kinda bad, no?
I'm an eternal sucker for highlight reels and scouting videos.
im on the Mario train y'all.

Over the last 5 years The Magic fired SVG to appease Dwight...who they then had to trade
They traded Gortat, Vince Carter , Mickael Pietrus, cash and a 1st (Miortic) for Earl Clark, Hedo Turkoglu and Jason fucking Richardson.
They signed Frye to a 4 yr/32 mil contract for no reason then gave Ben Gordon 9 mil to play basketball.
I want to shit on them for taking Gordon 4th overall, but the other option was probably Dante Exum, and then Payton ended up falling to them, so alls well that ends well there.
I still believe in Orlando tho. Vucevic, Oladipo and even Harris seem like they have the talent, they really need Gordon or Payton to become legit.

As of now, they're right on track, especially if they hit again in this draft.
Denver is like the only team who thought it was a good idea to delay the inevitable and maintain a competitive team after trading Melo and failed in the process. Big reason why Masai Ujiri shouldn't get tons of praise for effectively building two of the most mediocre rosters in all of the NBA for 2 franchises.
By Moris Go To PostThey signed Frye to a 4 yr/32 mil contract for no reason then gave Ben Gordon 9 mil to play basketball.Probably the only questionable decisions under Hennigan. For all we know, Frye could be a serviceable stretch 4 if they ever field a competitive roster by then.
Then again, the Magic or teams like them aren't really attractive free agent destinations right now.
