People were out jogging in booty shorts when it was pouring. Unreal. In LA the entire city goes into a tailspin of car accidents and snapchats of the rain anytime it even sprinkles.
It rained more in the 3 weeks I was there from August to September than it has in the past 3 years in LA. I Can't even fathom what the winter or spring is like.

Beal made 35% of his long twos which is basically like throwing your possessions away. That's terrible shot selection since he can't make any of them, it doesn't matter if he's "open" or not.
Pacers officially announce that Paul George is moving to play PF. If Myles Turner can be a starting center that makes threes within a year or two, the Pacers could put together one of the scariest 5-out lineups I can remember. Great defense and three point shooting everywhere.

California's becoming a desert, unless you live in the Bay watch us get dust storms and spontaneous combustion. Unpleasant, like Arizona.
LA was always a desert. It's NorCal that's dealing with drought for the first time in awhile. We normally get rain.
You thought you've seen fuckball? I present to you, fuckball:
But not long after Indiana Pacers coach Frank Vogel made it official that his fully-recovered All-Star will play the power forward spot this season in an attempt to play “small-ball,” the 25-year-old who missed all but six games last season after breaking his leg at Team USA minicamp last August made it clear yet again in an interview with USA TODAY Sports that he’s hardly excited about the development.http://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/nba/pacers/2015/09/24/paul-george-pacers-power-forward/72757646/
Tristan Thompson signs for 3 years, $53 million, ending a saga that absolutely no one cared about and making Thompson one of the more expensive bench players in NBA history.

@DanFeldmanNBA: If Thompson gets smallest-possible starting salary, Cavaliers in line for $186,870,100 payroll – $112,288,591 in salary, $74,581,510 in taxGilbert sweatin'.
The problem with the league's salary structure is that people like Tristan are grossly overpaid and guy's like Lebron end up way underpaid in relevance to their actual talent and value, but I'm kind of tired of the players and press blaming ownership for this when this contract dispute has run on this long. Both sides play into this nonsense.
But those top tier players balance that off with supplementary endorsements and royalties for their player branding.
It comes to a point where some of these guys make TOO MUCH money, both talented and mediocre.
The only players you can argue that don't make enough for their value are those under the rookie scale and minimums.

Too much relative to what? They're getting 50% of the revenue pie. That's not too much I don't think. They're entertainers in the one genre that can't be tivo'd. TV has evolved in a way where they're the most valuable commodity by a long stretch. That will probably change over time, but in the foreseeable future, it is what it is.
Beyond which, playoff teams play in front of sold out 20,000 person arenas 100 times a year with ticket prices that mirror what top music superstars charge. And those musicians go on tour once every few years.
I mean Taylor swift did 9 or 10 or whatever number of sold out shows at staples center and it was huge deal. That's like 9 regular season Laker games.

Gentry: Jrue Holiday will be on a minutes restriction until January. Early on, he's limited to 15 minutes.

this TT situation is basically a dream come true for LeBron. He can fuck over Gilbert without hurting the Cavs short term.

I see you Seattle haters in here...
And I see Reilo with his silly ass knowing that both Seattle and Portland get about 37 inches of rain per year....
Portland is that poser cousin who wants to hang out with Cali but they won't let we... Don't worry Seattle and BC still love you and will invite you to the BBQ.

I agree that NBA players make a lot endoresment-wise. (I agree enough that I feel it impacts the free agency market via how much a player loses in endorsements by going to a weaker market.)
Should have said the argument is that top players don't earn enough and mid players earn too much rather than pose it as my argument, since I have the same doubts about the argument.
Still, the idea that owners are to blame for overpaid b-tier guys is horseshit. It could be (easily) argued that the overpaid guys are often smaller market teams overpaying to compensate for endorsement loss. I just don't buy that its entirely on the owners.

By Dark PhaZe Go To Postif I weren't in DC, I'd want to be in Seattle
is that bad
It's a nice city but holy crap is the traffic shitty. I'll take L.A. traffic over it. Well, depending on where you live/work. If you live on one of the islands and work there, it's great. If you live in downtown Seattle and work say in say Bellevue, oh hell naw. But great culture, food, it's beautiful.
If I could live anywhere it'd be Vancouver, B.A. But Atlanta is pretty great. Never thought I'd enjoy living in the South but it's grown on me greatly. Atlanta's food scene ranks up there with Seattle, L.A., etc., and being a foodie, this is heaven. Also cost of living makes L.A., Seattle, etc. look downright evil.
