Last season, the Knicks outscored opponents by 5.7 points per 48 minutes when Anthony played power forward
Interesting. Hopefully they realize this and play Melo at the 4.

I read that too, I don't remember them ever playing him at the 4. Some combination of two other bigs were always on the floor it seemed like. If this was something that happened for more than 250-300 minutes ok. But if it's something that happened for a combined 50-100 total minutes (my hunch) it's far too small of a sample size. My hunch is it would be a good idea to throw the numbers from most of last season out. It was so bizarre with so many blowouts and huge deficits, injuries, d league rotation guys, that it doesnt seem like there was anything with a large enough sample size to make solid determinations. Also, most the roster has been changed.
Anyone know how to get those exact numbers?
you can try Stats.NBA.com
Takes a while to figure out how to get custom searches right. I might get one for you later.

I mean, he played a total of 40 games and 1428 minutes, so no matter what, his sample size is going to be tiny. I'm gonna guess < 300 minutes.
By Dark PhaZe Go To Posthttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=heQplFp9hQQthey did not just do that!

Going through the top 5 man units. It's about a 100. If you count Lance Thomas as the 3, which I don't - it's about 130.
Seems more like the value of having their skilled players on the floor (slump, Jr. Hardaway, Calderon) rather than having their placeholders with little to no talent (dalembert, acy, Cole)
Predictably, their best lineup was 3 guards and Anthony and Amare. Essentially 5 guys who were all offensive threats instead of guys like acy and Amundsen and Aldrich in the lineup.
To me anyway, this just says what we all knew. Knicks needed much better bigs to be effective in the triangle
We do know that Bennett is done after an even more miserable sophomore year in Minnesota. The Wolves will shave off some of Bennett’s $5.8 million salary for this season, and they clearly couldn’t give Bennett away. They peddled him everywhere, including to teams with cap space to absorb him in exchange for a token top-55-protected second-round pick Minnesota would never see, per several league sources. No one bit.o_O

Yeah, I wrote yesterday "They probably shopped him around, and there's no taker."
He can be signed for the minimum now though. That's a different situation.
RT @diamond83: NBA announces Finals to feature more days between games. Schedule to include two days between all games in which travel is necessary.
Dude had shaqtin'esque highlights on defense at UNLV against terrible competition. There's some offensive potential there, but the ceiling isn't that high and his IQ is bad.
Philly is the only place he might have an outside shot at developing. Tanking team so he'd get reps. And you'd need him beside Noel or Embiid tiered defense to even have a prayer of covering up for him there.

Presti held his preseason press conference today. Said KD has been 100% cleared and has been playing 5 on 5 with no restrictions.
He didn't emphasize Waiters much, here's hoping it was a sign that Dion has fallen out of favor and not a negotiation ploy to get him extended before November 1.

I dig the new Bulls court. I never liked the basketball in center court. This reminds me a little more of the old stadium.

I think 2 Bulls on alternating sides of the key would work better than the 4. 4 seems like too much.
Never mind, that would be ugly too. 4 bulls just doesn't seem like the best design

It looks weird because it's not balanced with the way United Center is.

Unless that graphic is counting Amundson, Jason Smith and Acy as Small Forwards, I don't see how they got to 22%.
Reilo posted a breakdown. And as one of only 2 true bigs on the floor - it came about to somewhere between 100-150 combined minutes.
Nevermind, saw that the breakdown only covered the top lineups and not all of them.
I'm assuming they'll play him at the 4 a good deal since they're so guard heavy and they need time to develop Porzi.

when he was on the knicks Acy was a undersized power forward. He couldn't shoot outside reliably and he wasn't able to defend most fast SF's at all.
By blackace Go To PostAcy is a 6'7" SF….
nah he played the 4 and sometimes the 5. If any two of Bargs, Acy, Cole, Jason Smith, Dalembert, Amare, and Lance Thomas were on the floor with Melo. Melo was the 3.
