BTW, Barkley also said dems haven't done anything for the black voting demographic and that he likes Trump. lol I was being sarcastic. Ace did ban me once or twice I believe. But yea, most of my bans came from Nintendo threads. Including the one that did me in. And Kado, suck it.

Sabonis came when he was 31 IIRC, Prigioni 34, can't remember for Jasikevicius but at least 29, etc. Huertas will be serviceable. Long career for him now...

Also, get used to it. The new cap will increase this kind of move. NBA revenue going up and european revenue stagnating means that NBA benches will be more and more European. I don't remember an article making that observation, but it should be discussed, it's going to accentuate the phenomenon. 20 years ago, Hernangomez drafted late had no career in the US that would be better than what Europe could offer him (think Milos Vujanic)... Now it's obvious he'll come over. Bodiroga would have never said no to the NBA, had an NBA team offered him 5-6 millions, which is very easy today... I give it 2 years before Teodosic comes trying his luck in the US...

Developping players is not just giving them minutes, it's also about giving them the right teammates. If you're building a team, what's best, yet another scorer-type 22 yo who will be out of the league in 2 years (literally half their roster), or bringing in someone who knows what it is to be competitive?

LA only really had 1 PG in Russell and he may not stick as a 1 guard going forward.

Of course, and what kind of team culture do you build in the meanwhile? This ain't a farm, an NBA team is an institution. I'm sure we all know what is it to build a group long-term, if you play for a club, if you're part of a political group or association, at work, etc. Kinda surprised people don't see the point of bringing people with different experiences, and a different approach to the game, for little potential loss.

There's about 20 players in Europe that have their place in the NBA, at different levels of course... With the new cap, these guys will be coming in, old or young. A team who navigates the change in the economic landscape will be benefitting quite a bit (the same way the Spurs did it, keeping an open mind...). Like for the Knicks, to me the fact that they are legit interested in Porzingis and Hernangomez is the right direction. They drafted Weis and Vujanic with no intention to get them really, it was such an unprofessional franchise...
