By Forever Go To PostHonestly when has Lebron ever been that loyal to a single player?
And we expect him to start with Tristan Thompson?
Rich Paul
By Vahagn Go To PostMoney and Hinkie, while really smart, are just reactionaries throwing shit at the wall hoping it sticks.
Morey takes over the Rockets wren they're saddled with injury prone TMac and Yao and their massive contracts. Decries max contracts in favor of underpriced value a la Moneyball. Markets prize acquisitions Shane Battier, Luis Scola, Carl Landry and Kevin Martin as examples of this. After a few years of ineptitude, ditches the plan and starts offering max contacts to Harden, Dwight, Melo, Bosh and everyone else who will listen. Essentially becoming like every other traditional GM with a license to spend. Offer as much money to superstars as you can hoping they come.
How is it possible to be this dumb? "Decrying max contracts" wth lol
The objective is always to get star players. That's why Hinkie is tanking: because it is the most efficient way of getting a star player.
Morey already had two star players hence going after finished product role players like Scola and Battier. Once T-Mac and Yao careers were ended due to injuries, the objective again was to get star players.
"a license to spend" lmao like any GM cares about paying star players max money.
By blackace Go To Postwhy wouldn't he? Not saying he will but it's not unthinkable
His public image would get annihilated. Ditching Cleveland again? Especially After like 2 years?
He'd go back to being public enemy number one

Once by my count. And it took like 5 years to recover to pre decision levels

I don't think so... if they don't win I think he could easily jet without any problems. Just as long as he doesn't do another douchebag move like before. He wants those 2 year contracts for a reason
I don't think he leaves at the end of this contract but the next one? Who knows
I agree. I don't think Lebron's rep would recover from leaving the Cavs again especially since they have sucked him off so far since he returned.
however...i also don't think that would stop him from leaving alone....If Kyrie and Love continue to be injury prone as hell and a better opprotunity pops up....I could see him bolting.
Don't see anything that great popping up tho...then again teams who miss out on Durant could be extra thirsty

any team going to pamper LBJ... and him signing 2 year contracts with 1 being a PO is not exactly hidden info
By blackace Go To Postany team going to pamper LBJ⦠and him signing 2 year contracts with 1 being a PO is not exactly hidden info
He's said as nauseam that he's never leaving again. The two year contracts are purely designed to maximize his income consistent with the massive spikes in salary cap and to put pressure on management to not fuck around. But an FO that's paying him 30% of the cap every single year while also having Love and Kyrie on max contracts. Offering 40 million to Shump and 80 million to TT is clearly bought in.
Cleveland before he left was clearly bought in too but you can make an argument they made bad decisions. Lebron's PR and popularity skyrocketed after he joined Cleveland. So while there's a chance he may leave - I just don't see him leaving over Tristan Thompson.
jp tokoto got a 1 year deal with the sixers
yall really dont understand how bad that team is gona be
hinkie even trolling fans by having his premier vet presence signing as gerald wallace

Tokoto isn't even going to make the team tho...not signing the 4 year fuck you deal sealed his fate.
But yeah we are going to be super awful.

Whatever happened to humble Durant?
It's not even true. He's just delusional.
I need the season to start already.
By Exarkunt Go To PostShoutout to Battier and Morey. Whats good homies, its been a whileβ¦yo

I'm sorry.

At least we're getting alternate orange unis.

let's not pretend LBJ popularity outside of Cleveland took much of a hit when he left. He has been the top jersey from when he left until when he returned.
I don't think he will leave for TT too but I do see him leaving if the team loses traction.
By KingGondo Go To PostWay better? C'mon son. Gonna need some numbers to back that up.He couldn't even make the all defensive team a single time in his career. Come on, son.
Well I can't really reject that Durant quote after year where Lebron performance isn't better than Curry, Harden, or Davis

When their high price ho's you pay for them to leave and be discreet about it. Him owing her money is why if this is real this is getting aired out
Durant is wrong, but if he didn't believe it, he would be a worse player. All players in the conversation have that mentality.
Also, I wouldn't give the time of day to that woman. Melo can't do better? Sigh.

What? Dirk in the playoffs during the title run was absolutely the best player on the planet. No question. LeBron could only dream of being clutch like that.

well to be fair MVP isn't based on the playoffs and even then Dirk couldn't defend anything
