Wait Vahagn is Knicks age now? Okay you're another one that's gotta provide me with Rolo gifs and screencaps.
By reilo Go To PostIt's fitting that he'd become a Knicks fan given that the Lakers are currently Knicks-West.
No. The Blazers still hold that title. Don't pawn it off on the Lakers. They're Philly-west.
By reilo Go To PostRemember when the Knicks had multiple 50-win seasons? Neither do I.Remember when Luke Babbitt had next?
By DY_nasty Go To PostRemember when Luke Babbitt had next?chars does. He proclaimed him a future All-Star. And Jerryd Bayless. Who does chars root for? Oh? The Knicks? Word?
By reilo Go To PostRemember when the Knicks had multiple 50-win seasons? Neither do I.
Look, just because we separated streams for a little while doesn't change anything. You got to enjoy a few great winning seasons. We enjoyed a few marginally winning years and 1 great season and then 2 consecutive nightmare seasons. But now, we are united again.
Embrace it. Embrace us. We are one. You are...one of us.
By reilo Go To Post"Separated streams for a little".
Since 2000, number of 50-win season:
Blazers: 7
Knicks: Oh
Which is exactly what I said. Hence the 1 great season being surrounded by mediocrity and nightmares comment. Lol
Swatting off that Knicks-west shade hard, man. I think I'll stick with it since JailBlazers doesnt make sense anymore.
I guess our definitions of mediocrity differ then considering 7 50-win seasons are "mediocre" in my eyes, but winning 25 games is "mediocre" for you.
And everyone already moved onto Bail Blazers.

Our mediocre seasons were the 500s we had after Amare and Melo. I've erased everything from 2003 and onward. I have no recollection of it. I traveled time. Stop trying to break me!!

Christmas came early.
I now sanction vahg a knick lifer only and only a knick fan.
Enjoy his Xs and Os about the triangle, knicks-slaent. Apparently he can teach Derek fisher a thing or two about it.

By Vahagn Go To PostEmwitus liked the Lakers and the Celtics. That shit is a travesty. That's like liking the Red Sox and the Yankees. I like the Lakers and Lakers-lite. That's hardly the same thing.
Dude's a Celtics fan even when they suck. I'm a NY fan only while Phil and Fish are there and they're running the Triangle.
It's not much different from everyone jumping on the PHX 7 seconds or less bandwagon during the peak Nash years as far as I see it.
Oh
It's not much different from everyone jumping on the PHX 7 seconds or less bandwagon during the peak Nash years as far as I see it.The difference is that's it's okay to be enthusiastic about Phoenix winning 61 games while you're running your mouth when Jackson got 17.
By blackace Go To Postif it's not talking about Phil Jackson it's taking unrealated shots at Mike D lol
And to do that when the Warriors just won the title. I remember when I had a hard time recognizing that Kobe Bryant had become better than Latrell Sprewell. But that's the kind of shit you get over once you're 15, you can see the truth...
Hunter has been hyped for a lot of people
Hunter actually thought that Jamal Crawford was better than Dwyane wade. And that's the last time I ever took him seriously

By the way. I never want to hear you bitch about bandwagon fans ever again. I've been in the Pugent Sound area the last two weeks and everyone within a 100 miles of Seattle claimed to be a LLL Seahawks fan.
Btw - that wasn't a shot at D'Antoni. People liked that team because of a few personalities and the style of play. Same reason I like the current Knicks. Don't care about the franchise one way or another. That shouldn't be hard to grasp - so don't try so hard to take shots - it's getting repetitive.

I am from Seattle and saw the Kingdom blow up so I give little fucks what you want to hear.
but that was a pro level reach I give you that
Sixers finally got their franchise point guard
Kendall Marshall has agreed to a multiyear contract with the Philadelphia 76ers.
Marshall's deal includes a fully guaranteed salary for the 15-16 season.
Marshall has been rehabilitating a torn anterior cruciate ligament in Chapel Hill.
By PSY! Go To PostSixers finally got their franchise point guardcongrats knux, laker fans were basically comparing D'angelo with Kendall Marshall!
I like Marshall, he just needs to latch onto a non-tanking team. I'm stunned he doesn't have a role on a contending team yet Austin Rivers is still a Clipper.
real talk though, I like Marshall too. he's an excellent pass first pg. he's going to dish out easy buckets for everyone.
he plays poor D and has no jumper. You kinda have to be able to do 2 of the 3 main pg duties pass, play D and shoot if your dad isn't GM and coach
By blackace Go To Posthe plays poor D and has no jumper. You kinda have to be able to do 2 of the 3 main pg duties pass, play D and shoot if your dad isn't GM and coachManaged to shoot 40% from 3 a year ago, so at least he's working to get better.
I may have shared this story before, but I had heard that one year there was a young player on the Suns whose nickname among the staff and players was "Hold On To Them Checks". Apparently it was a rook who hadn't worked on his game during training camp and showed no incentive to improve. Everyone figured he'd be cut or D-League material before the year was over. I always figured the story was about Kendall Marshall.
By knux-future Go To PostHe is coming off of an ACL injury.
thanks Hinkie
He never had any athleticism to start with so shouldn't be much change
Marshall isn't a starting PG for a playoff team but he's fine for the Sixers.
Its funny how we have gone from a super athletic team that couldn't shoot for shit to a slow unathletic team that can't defend for shit (Sauce, Marshal and Covington might change the shooting to at least good levels but i doubt it)

But I thought "the plan" was to assemble as many athletically gifted players as possible and teach them how to shoot because shooting is a teachable commodity but elite athleticism is in short supply.
Edit: really going to change my hashtag and not allow me to change? Evilore levels of power trips I swear.

So how are the Lakers Knicks-West using the same metric?
It's more like the Heat is Lakers-East. They are still following the same path.

Right, maybe it wasn't. Still get that feeling though

Can you explain this cause I just don't see the correlation between the Heat now and the Lakers.
By Vahagn Go To PostBut I thought "the plan" was to assemble as many athletically gifted players as possible and teach them how to shoot because shooting is a teachable commodity but elite athleticism is in short supply. The Sixers have made me believe that teachning dudes how to shoot is the hardest thing in the world considering we have not taught anyone how to shoot ever, It took Iggy 8 years to become servicable...and he was gone by then. Thad is just ok. Turner's shit is broke. MCW's is still fucked and Kidd is basically telling him to never shoot but post up.

In my paper this morning.
In Texas, this is only an oopsy: Dwight Howard was detained briefly in a Houston airport when officials found a loaded handgun in his carry-on bag. Howard was not charged and was allowed to board a later flight. Officials reasoned that even if Howard shot, he wouldn’t have hit anything more than 3 feet away.

Show up to a January shootaround at Wells Fargo Center, 120 minutes before tip-off, and two things quickly become apparent. First: These Sixers are conspicuously long-limbed – 10 of the 14 athletes boast a wingspan at least six inches longer than their height. Second: With the remarkable exception of forward Robert Covington – an undrafted, sweet-shooting 24-year-old with a 7-2 wingspan – approximately none of them can, you know, shoot.
This is no accident. It remains scientifically impossible to develop arm length, an underrated characteristic on defense. ("Sam is very studied in regards to that," Brown says.) But as Spurs wing Kawhi Leonard has verified, it is possible to grow a prospect's shooting ability over time. And Philly, forcing turnovers at a league-high 15.6 percent through the All-Star break but shooting a league-low 41 percent, is incentivized to wait on such a large-scale renovation. If the Sixers happen to have one of the worst offenses in history in the meantime, boosting their odds in the draft lottery? That's no accident either.
Just because a plan is failing, doesn't mean it's not the plann
