I like that deal for Charlotte. Not bad with the cap going up. If he stays healthy and keeps improving his jumper, could even be a bargain.

Lakers are seriously considering signing free agent Metta World Peace, league sources tell Yahoo Sports. For now, there's no deal in place.

that was two years ago
If I compare Withey to 38 year old Tim Duncan (minus the post moves and passing), do I get laughed at for the next three months or indefinitely like with the Smith stuff?
Hmm, I don't know if I should commit to this. Josh Smith signing with the Clippers was already such a blow to me in basketball psyche that I don't know if I can commit to this fully.

His last year in LA they kept trying to make him work as a SF, he was clearly about that PF life from that point on due to losing a step. His post D was still great, but he couldn't get regular playing time in NY after that so, yea he's probably washed but I still want him back!

Yes.
Yes.
Oh dear God, yes. Allah bless me.
I'll take Metta.
We've been a revolving door of mediocre to crap basketball players the last few years and none of those people has meant or contributed anything of note.
If we're going to give a spot to someone as filler, 2010 champion MWP is more appealing than create-a-player Tyrone.
Moris is excited because he's about dat tank life, holding on to delusions that we'll get a top 3 pick this year.

If you're going to give a spot to someone as filler, make it someone who could be a diamond in the rough and help you in the future.

We both know that Mitch and Jimmy arent finding that person.
They get excited when Carlos Boozer and Jeremy Lin join the fold.

Josh Smith signing with the Clippers was already such a blow to me in basketball psyche that I don't know if I can commit to this fully.Come now. Look at it this way: if Smith excels and leads the Clippers to the WCF for the first time or even further, you will be vindicated in calling him a great player. If he struggles, you can always use it to troll CP3, the Clippers, and Doc. If he struggles and the Clippers still go far, you can say it's because of his secret locker room leadership. OK maybe that's a bit too far.
please
the clips will live and die by the only person in the room worth taking seriously--Paul Pierce
And he'll probably come through--guys a gawd

RT @CHold: Clippers fined for a FA presentation to DeAndre Jordan that "included a potential third-party endorsement opportunity for the player"
... ugh, ok?

EL SEGUNDO β The Los Angeles Lakers have signed guard Michael Frazier to a multi-year contract, it was announced today by General Manager Mitch Kupchak. Per team policy, terms of the deal were not released.

I want him back for entertainment value alone.
By K@do Go To Postwho?
.
Frasier is an undersized combo guard who was pegged as a one dimensional shooter. He has crazy wingspan and while being touted as a dead eye shooter went 0 for 11 for GSW in summerleague.
He supposedly had some impressive workouts with quite a few teams and DX had him going in the first round a month or so before the draft, he will certainly be in the d-league to start the season since LA has Lou, Russ, Jordan and Jabari.

By reilo Go To PostYea, like, I figured every presentation ever did that. Strange.
Same here. I always thought big city teams would be all like "if you join us, you're endorsements and sponsorship deals with Nike/Reebok/Adidas could be worth as much as $xxxxxxxx."
Had no idea it was illegal.
I think it's one of those rules that they choose not to enforce, but decided how fucking clownshoes the whole DeAndre Jordan thing was, the league decided to fine them for something. So really, this fine is about how they handled the Jordan free agency and not that specific thing they got dinged for.

but hey - the same people that love rondo say that mkg aint shit so whatever
By Moris Go To PostThe only non-dysfunctional thing Charlotte has done is lock up MKG.There are literally three teams in California that are more dysfunctional than the Hornets

-Let Biyombo walk
-trade your 1 SG for a 1 season rental of a SF to play behind your best player
-Keep Al Jefferson around
-Keep Kemba
-Keep Frank instead of all of Boston's picks
-Give away Vonleh
MJ can't even treadmill correctly.
