By Vahagn Go To PostMike made Phil (lol) but D'Antoni's a good coach?
TD didn't make Pop, Magic didn't make Riley, Mike didn't make Phil. Those three guys are the best coaches ever and succeeded everywhere they went.
D'Antoni has underachieved everywhere he went without prime Nash. So, tell me again - which player made which coach?
Mike without a doubt made Phil... Pop has literally coached 1 year without TD... And I NEVER said Mike D was a good coach just you like to bring him up for no reason... Like when Phil said a corner 3 a better shot than a prime Shaq.. even tho Nellie was doing small ball well before Phil was coaching in the NBA... Just noticing trends...

actually that is a really good split of today's talent
Harden officially leaving Nike for Adidas.
Nike (intelligently) refused to match a $200 million offer for a dude who can't even sell his own jersey during an MVP-caliber season.

By diehard Go To PostBut really i wanna know what morons are buying Klay Thompson and Dellavedova jerseysKlay is defensible. Dude scored 37 points in a quarter.
Delly jerseys are primarily bought by white suburbanites who love scrappy types though.
By blackace Go To Postthose are playoff only sales… I made that same mistake tooWell dammit someone doesn't know how to make a proper informational image i guess.
I imagine a good portion of those Jersey sales are from game attendance, lots of people buying a Cavs jersey of someone who as playing and they dont want it to be Lebron?

I'd be willing to bet Harden's in the top 10 among all jersey sales considering how big Houston is and the Rox international fanbase (why can't they release those numbers, by the way?) but Adidas is being blinded by the beard. His personality (the part you're depending on to sell your shitty shoes) is incredibly flat and boring.
By Dark PhaZe Go To Posti'm pretty sure those rosters aren't indicative of who's actually paying tonightAnytime you can play MCW and Harrison Barnes, you gotta do it.
By Moris Go To PostGondo against paying Harden in every situation.Hey good for him getting that money.
I just don't see him selling many shoes, and neither does anyone else here if they're being honest.
By Moris Go To PostGondo against paying Harden in every situation.at least hes consistent
By Moris Go To PostGondo against paying Harden in every situation. It's hilarious that he'll defend any shitty attitude or transgressions of current OKC players, but somehow he has no problem calling out Harden for his personality and beard?
for the record i don't think KD has much of a personality either, and of course Harden signs with a german brand, i mean he's literally Hitler.
I'm more calling out Adidas anyways.
And I'm calling it like I see it with Harden's personality. He's boring.
There's a reason this deal is making news, and it's because people can't believe Adidas is giving that kind of money to a guy whose biggest marketing tool is his facial hair.

Yea, adidas gave him $200 mil because he has a beard and not because he is the best shooting guard in the league in his prime that came second in a really close MVP race.
But no, adidas looked at his beard and was like "HERE'S TWO HUNDRED MILLION DOLLARS!"

Lakers signed Jon Holmes. Played fairly well on Celts sumemrleague and he was 24th on DX's prospect board.
Injury concern, drug history, attitude problem?

Personality doesn't matter.
He's a top 5 player. Marketing will take care of the rest.
His footlocker comercials were pretty good.
Nobody outside of Blake Griffin has a personality in their ads. That's only because hies the best actor in the league by a mile.
Stop hating Gondo.

Lol. When it was announced that Adidas was offering him that deal everybody here was laughing right alongside me.
Whatever.

By Eatadick6969 Go To PostYou realize that it's a 13 year deal right?I didn't realize that.
Wonder if he'll even be in the league at the end of the deal? He's almost 26 now.
Kevin Durant's deal is 10 years/$300mil, Lillard's is 10 years/$100mil (if he hits incentives), Rose's is 13 years/$185mil in 2012 (which he signed AFTER winning MVP) and Lebron signed a $90mil deal with Nike before even playing his first NBA game. $200mil sounds like market-rate, no?

I guess I would just trust a brand like Nike to maximize a deal like that. Adidas is clownshoes right now.
They let Dwight walk and are going after the better guards in the league instead of focusing on big men, so I'd argue they're heading in the right direction. Wall's and Lillard's shoes aren't bad by any means.
And I mean, Nike isn't exactly doing hot with their best players:
And they're rumblings that KD hated the 7 and preferred playing in the 6.

The last 3 Adidas I tried to ball in, broke off my toenail, fucked my ankle up, or tore apart.
Not even once guys.

Wait what is wrong with Lebron XII? I like that colorway but is it just not as flashy as Lebron XI or is it just not as comfortable?

It was reported down the stretch that Holmes confidence in where he would be selected – the 25-45 range – led to him canceling workouts with teams picking in the second round, such as Charlotte. It was also noted that Holmes excelled in his workout and there was a mutual interest with the Detroit Pistons, but that potential pairing didn’t come to fruition by way of the draft.
Holmes needs to fire his agent lol

By Dark PhaZe Go To PostHardens foot locker commercial was pretty gud:
Zen effect at work on the league. Master Phil told commish to ease up on the sched, otherwise he was going to leak footage of him having an orgy.

LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL I forgot about this.
lebron xi's and kd 6's are on some don't even bother releasing a new addition levels of gud
adidas...it's like they don't take any design seriously besides Rose, both the Lillard and Wall 1's were pretty much Walmart-tier garbage
J-Wall 2 is something of an improvement i guess:
