he's also my favorite player to trot out when i'm drunk playing 2k because people think he's a create a player

By Moris Go To PostClips vs LA on Christmas supposedly , and against Philly on New Years.I really don't get the logic behind Clips vs Lakers on Christmas. Clipper fans don't care that much about beating the Lakers these days, most Lakers fans know that they don't stand a chance against the Clippers and don't particularly want to watch the Clippers, and neutral fans don't really care about a likely blowout. Lakers versus the Knicks or Celtics would be a lot uglier but would at least be more competitive and be actual rivalries.
By Vahagn Go To PostKobe's always talked about retiring and then moving his family back to Italy. I doubt he does that with Kobe INC underway, but if he does, he'll probably buy a team and then play just to sell tickets like MJ Wizards did.
Jordan sold his minority ownership to play, like Magic did in 1996. He had no direct interest in selling tickets, even with his front-office job.
Also, the Italian league is not good enough for Kobe. It has regressed immensely since they heyday of the Virtus Bologna (late 90s early 00s, badass era, Danilovic, Ginobili, a good dozen future NBA players...). It is obviously rated under under Spain, Greece, Russia, Turkey, and even Lithuania and Israel... basically around the same level as France and Germany (the french league is gutted from its talent by the NBA and Spain)...
Economically, it's small stakes. The football (soccer) tv rights for Serie A (best Italian league) are at around a billion euros (so just a bit under half the NBA's television rights, for a much much smaller country than the US, you have to realize how crazy soccer is in Europe, and that's not counting the money for inter-European competitions...). For basket-ball Serie A, Rai TV pays just a bit above one million... It's peanuts, ten times less than the tv deal for the equivalent french league... which means it really is on the downward path, it is more and more a niche market that only relies on ticket sales...
Tony Parker has a minority ownership of a tier-2 team in France, that might be a better model to see how to proceed with such an endeavor...
Anyway, my point is, overall, comments on the matter from the US are very poorly informed... Kobe, if you read me, I'll do some consulting for you... ;)
Hinkie must be have a 20yr process.

People pushing for stretched out seasons to avoid boredom or back to backs forget that for a lot of guys, August is their only month off. June finals/draft. July free agency and summer league, September is training camp.
August is the only time that all NBA players aren't obligated by some league business.
I think they'd be down to play 10 back to backs if that meant a one month vacation.

The worst part about playing the clippers Is hearing about the made up rivalry.

Dude, without even doing math that's clearly only a shade above 10%. Like 11% ish
Man... I've been looking at some of the Pacers games from this season and I think they're still gonna be damned good. Hate that fuckshit offense but they were winning games even without PG. I think they're a bigger threat than Milwaukee tbh

By masud Go To PostI don't get it. Is this supposed to be a bad tip? It's over 15%?Aside from your math being wrong as everyone else pointed out, I assumed it was just to show that while Nerlens may not be the best at math, at least he's smart with his money.

Tipping 11% isn't smart with your money, especially after You dropped 150 bucks on one sitting. Spend 50 and then tip 10.
I think people should Always tip between 15-20 percent unless the service or food was absolutely abysmal. And even then, tip 10%.
1. He probably isn't a fan of tipping culture
2. He probably has no idea you're supposed to tip 15%
Point is dude isn't wasteful with his money like other athletes.

What?!
By knux-future Go To PostEmbiid is allegedly refusing to get surgery.like maybe he's indirectly forcing a trade.
lol
maybe.
Let the Embiid sweepstakes begin
By Moris Go To PostWhat?!He feels no pain in his foot and wants to play. Doctors say his shit is breaking again/ never healed. Embiid says fuck dat shit, let me play. And thus the surgery has not happened yet and Embiid is hanging out with John Wall with no boot on his "broken" foot and the organization is quiet as shit after the last message was "surgery will happen in 7-10 days"..which was a month ago now.
sooooooo
None of this is confirmed but the writing is on the wall so to speak.
also this has been an issue for a while as Jah knew Embiid's foot was fucked prior to the draft.
Clownshoes all around
What happened to Embiid being the second coming of Tim Duncan/Hakeem the Dream?
Isn't he supposed to be the most talented prospect other than Anthony Davis in a while, at least prior to his injury?
Isn't he supposed to be the most talented prospect other than Anthony Davis in a while, at least prior to his injury?
By psychintellect Go To PostNo way embiid is that dumbidk. he wants to play, he feels no pain in his foot, people are basically writing him off as done, this could fuck with his money, Hinkie is a shit, and Jah is here to take his place. I understand why he wants to get out there ASAP. Plus I imagine going through surgery sucks period and avoiding it is pretty optimal.
he's a young dude that is eager to play and has no pain, i don't blame him. can't imagine how frustrating that must be for him. you wait and wait and wait and then finally when you think you are ready they tell you to wait another year. this has to fuck with your mind, especially at 19-21.
When a doctor tells me my foot is broken and a team/fanbase desperate for talent to justify their misery is telling me to get surgery....at least get some second opinions Embiid.
