By giririsss Go To PostYou can. DMC is a C in the same way Duncan is. They're both natural PF's, but their game can let them play in either position.
The kings are worse off when DMC is on the bench, and so another quality big so you can have a proper rotation, and not be as concerned about foul trouble is nice.
Kings have bigger concerns though. Like overall talent level. They really should just draft BPA, then trade if they think it's a redundant position. They do need an upgrade at PG,PF, and all bench roles.
I just feel an Ibaka at PF that blocks shots and stretches the defense on offense is better than a Chandler/Noah that can goalkeep but doesn't provide spacing on offense. I also worry that Cousins mental lapses would cause him to reach on perimeter pump fakes and still get dumb fouls. He's good on defense, but he has obvious lapses that lead to most of his bad fouls.
I expect them to trade the pick, but I am not sure what to target. Collison was pretty good for them at PG. The proper PF big man pairing for Cousins is more a concern to me than PG. I think they need consistency at guard overall, but not entirely from the PG. Sometimes McLemore and Stauskas don't provide much of anything and there's no floor spacing at all and McLemore only played hard D when Malone was around to balance out his inconsistent offense.
I expect them to chase Lawson for better or worse, and one of Stauskas/McLemore might move for a veteran guard. I also expect JT or Landry to be traded. They should want to retain Collison given his production level for his salary and the fact he can start or come off the bench.
I don't think you need to spend a ton of time worrying about getting a big PF, when you can really run small with just DMC. Rudy is a BIG SF, you add in a Draymond Green type and you're more than covered. I still think Ibaka is horribly used and spaces the floor very averagely. Don't like that comparison.
DMC has been putting up work despite dealing with a "lane clogger". It's "nice" but not something massive on the list.
I'd keep McLemore over Collision. Easily. McLemore can guard 1 - 3. If his 3pt shot keeps progressing... then he's going to be a nice piece for years. If they go after Ty you're going to need size too. I like Collison But you can't excuse his terrible defense and get on McLemore's case.

Collison's D isn't terrible. The team's defensive numbers were top 5ish with Cousins and Collison on the floor together. It then drops like a rock when either sits, and drops to the bottom with both sitting.
By creepingfear Go To PostIs there a chair in here for me that's nice and warm and toasty? We keep the fire lit with the hopes and dreams of Canada.
Hopefully we securing jimmy and Hoiberg isn't too bad of coach
Rose hopefully also can be more consistent, he looked promising in this playoff and showing flashes
Snell and Mirotic get integrated more and keep improving, hopefully next season are more fun.

Hinrich needs to be gone. Also, need to consider getting rid of Noah and Taj. That experiment ended. Secure Jimmy, give Niko more playing time, but change needs to happen. In all seriousness, I'm going to miss Thibs. I think the most likely scenario is that the next coach is not as good as him.

By Forever Go To PostI feel like Thibs has diminishing returns. The longer he stays as coach, the more he wears his team down, and the less effective he becomes.Well, he's only coached one team. There's no doubt that the Bulls players got tired of his shit this season.
Player seem already given up for thibs too, bad or not we need change.
I just want we securing jimmy, I really not bothered being a treadmill team as long team is fun to watch

Thibbs method to coaching wears thin when you aren't winning chips. Now mind you he got fucked over by injuries and such (some of which came via his own insanity of keeping dudes in no matter what) but still...I imagine it is a lot easier to put up with his GO HARD ALL DE TIME mentality if he had a few rings to show for it. Different sports, but it is what got John Harbaugh fired too. The high intensity coach doesn't have a long shelf life without chips...and even then.
He would be a great get for young teams who need that push into contention so while I fear him killing dudes, he'd be a great fit in NO. Orlando would be the best place tho. Not as much pressure to win chips right away and they still have one more shot at a star with this year...they get say Towns or something and suddenly they finally can take that next step..plus they have some nice defenders there.

By KingGondo Go To PostBulls-Brehs, what would you consider a fair annual contract for Noah considering his decline?I feel that rumours of Noahs decline are massively overstated.
Guy never relied on super athleticism in the first place. His game is about being smart as much as anything. He'll get a Max on his next contract.
By giririsss Go To PostI feel that rumours of Noahs decline are massively overstated. He doesn't make a max now and he's on the wrong side of 30.

I feel like $10 million/year would be fair under the new CBA. Wouldn't be shocked if we inquire about him now that we have Donovan.
By KingGondo Go To PostBulls-Brehs, what would you consider a fair annual contract for Noah considering his decline?hard to say.. if he want max, hopefully FO reject it unless he made a return to form next year.. I don't want him at team with this state
because coach will always like him and his reputation, its will be your perkins situation all over again, only an GM that can control this situation
HAPPY LEBRONUKKAH BITCHES! Get some of this KANG in your mouth. You hear that? That's the whimper from the vagabonds of Heat fans.
Lebrun's stellar leadership continues to pay off and Cavs fans look forward to the team pushing for a hopeful finals bid.

Harrison Barnes is gonna get 10M. You're not getting Noah for anything under 15M
Noah was not good this year, his next contract is a gamble based on the idea that his body hasn't been destroyed. He was worth probably $20m last year (adjusting for the new salary cap) or more whereas his value this year might have been $6 or $7 million, so it will probably be in between those two two numbers... Probably on the higher side since there will be some team that feels that his injuries aren't a big deal.
By KumaJG Go To PostBarnes 10M? Dude assBarnes has put up good numbers in the play offs. And had a decent return season under kerr.
He's not amazing, but people (rox fans) have been over rating his ceiling for years (Ariza). He's not a liability as a starter, you're not losing anything.
I think he'll get his 10M easily, particularly with the new cap.
I told my friend my prediction that the bulls would make it to the ECF and he told me "Nah, the Bulls weren't any better than the Pacers teams these last few seasons that couldn't make it over the hump." I'm legit mad he was right cause I am going to hear "I told you so" next time I see him.
Snell made some strides this year. I'm not ready to give up on McBuckets yet. I think McBuckets can still be a JJ Reddick/Korver/Dunleavy type player. He had that knee injury and Thibs doesn't like to play rookies anyway. I also want Brooks gone. I swear that he might have been worse at defense than Nate Robinson. Goal for offseason: Younger and more athletic.
We can't made move before 2016 man..
unlike those clown in bulls realgm I'm content with securing jimmy and the only change we made is give more playtime to Mirotic and Snell

Like a man who got a execution reprieve from the governor
The thing about Noah is no one has hinted at if there is any possible fix. Does he need another procedure done? Rest? Or is he just truly done for good at this point? My eyes really opened up how he makes it 4 v 5 on offense for the Bulls. If you look at a team like the Wizards, Nene and Gortat can score and hit that 15 footer. Shit, Zha Zha Petula looks like a good offensive player compared to Noah.
We should offering Mozgov high money at 2016
he'd perfect for us alongside Mirotic and also sucker punch Cavs. 2 for one job.

Same source expects a quick resolution to the Bulls/Thibs situation, likely with Thibs landing in New Orleans.
Sounds like a win-win to me.
Don't know about New Orleans, but would expect major personnel changes incoming for Chicago.

The Thunder are interviewing Oubre, Stanley Johnson, Justin Anderson, Myles Turner, Tyus Jones, and Cameron Payne.
DX just released a pre-draft video with Anderson, and I could really see him fitting in in OKC.

Vucevic might be Kanter east but they haven't been competitive so I can't judge him too harshly. Great offensive weapon though.
Thibs makes too much sense for Orlando too BTW.

WCS would in theory help Vucevic a lot defensively. Its just that they are banking on Oladipo to be Wade or Payton to figure out how to shoot or else they are 00' Sixers tier for a while
I thought it was coaching but they continue to fall off after firing him...Hopefully that is just tanking tho
Orlando really needs to go back to the 3 and D philosophy with Van Gundy. They have the center to do it with and outside of Payton they have the personnel. Plus they have the freak athletes to run and gun, should be interesting to see.
As usual, rumors be out there of Knicks interesting in buying a 2nd rounder this year. Unlike past years I doubt it because they if they get the #1 pick, they should be looking into trading it/Calderon/THardJr. for more picks/NBA talent. If Minny gets #1 they ain't taking Towns, they want Okafor.

From Lowe's post-mortem of the Bulls:
Bulls are in a tight spot.
There just aren’t that many great deals out there, and Chicago has a ton riding on McDermott turning into a rotation player — and a replacement for Dunleavy. The Bulls flipped two first-round picks to get him, and he hit just 14 triples over 321 minutes this season.Damn. I had no idea he was so bad this season. Looked it up on Basketball Reference and he actually only hit 13.
Bulls are in a tight spot.
WCS interviewed with LA, sentiment is that he's very smart and interviewed well. If LA falls to 5th, he's probably going to LA.
