By psychintellect Go To PostI wonder if the Lakers really think Kobe is going to retire after this year.there are rumors that he might consider returning if they are a playoff team this coming season.
Nuggets president on how he'd smell booze on Lawson's breath.....
“Ty … there were times when he was better than others. But the problems have been there for several years, going back to when we were having a lot of on-court success. I don’t want to go back too far. There were just a lot of times where you were at practice and you just know. You could smell it. You know there is probably deeper issues than he would probably let on.”
If he came to and from practice in his own car they fucked up by not calling him out on it. Just sayin'.

I don't know if his physical style of comedy would work while sitting in a chair.
It was supposed to lure players to Las Vegas for Monday’s union meeting and to prove the players don’t have any need for the media. Judging by how the event turned out, there’s still plenty of work to be done.
Right from the start of the red carpet, it was clear things were going to be a circus. Just seven of the 29 29 players and coaches billed as attending the event — held at the Penn & Teller Theater at the Rio — actually showed up, and only some of those bothered to do the red carpet, with the rest slipping in through another entrance.
The most glaring absence was LeBron James, who was up for several awards and was supposed to be a presenter. But the union’s vice president – in town since at least Friday, when he attended a Cavaliers summer league game, and later attending the union’s meeting on Monday – was kept from appearing because of a “prior engagement,” according to the Northeast Ohio Media Group. It wasn’t a ringing endorsement for an event heralded by many players as a chance to take ownership over the awards process.http://nypost.com/2015/07/22/hardens-mvp-wasnt-weirdest-part-of-nba-players-awards/
Jay Pharoah from “Saturday Night Live” hosted, and he got big laughs with his impersonations of Drake and Stephen A. Smith. But a couple of his monologue jokes notably fell flat: Tim Duncan “is so old he picked the cotton that made his uniform.” Yikes.

By Mamba Go To Postlet's not pretend EVERYONE becomes good with the Spurs. Remember Austin Daye?I know, and I'm mostly joking, but their system tends to do wonders for guys that can shoot, though. Daye doesn't have any discernible basketball skills.
By rodeoclown Go To PostI know, and I'm mostly joking, but their system tends to do wonders for guys that can shoot, though. Daye doesn't have any discernible basketball skills.Yeah, I know. But Matt Bonner re-signed for the minimum. All he can do is shoot and he actually does use that skill well for the Spurs, but he can't cash in on it.
Jimmer at his very best is the guard version of Bonner. Bellinelli was good before the Spurs. And he does more than shoot. H can dribble, create some plays, play better D, etc.
I just get annoyed at how people think the Spurs do everything right. They're a great organization because they get much more right than wrong but let's be real here. They have the R-Jefferson trade and contract. They have the multiple 1st round upsets. Pop incorrectly uses hack-a-whomever often. They, like everyone else, gets things wrong too.
(not saying signing Jimmer is wrong. Just don't believe the Spurs can salvage him as an NBA player. Maybe he shoots well from 3, but he won't ever be a part of their playoff rotation).
Jimmer is just a doomsday insurance policy in the event that both Parker and Patty Mills go down.
Dude won't even get minutes at SG ahead of Create-A-Player extraordinaire Jonathon Simmons.

By db Go To PostI would. Genuine tends to be used in a more positive light but it's just being honest and open. I prefer his brand to do the duplicitous bullshit I see from a lot of other people in that business.
No way. He's the fakest try hard gangsta wannabe in the NBA picking fights with everyone. He thinks he's hard as shit, the dude is a muffin ass bitch.
LMAO @ people salty as fuck about Phil's comments.
JR is a whiny little girl who threw professionalism out of the door when everyday personal drama came into play. Why wouldn't he be traded? With Melo out the whole season and the team clearly showing they couldn't do shit without him, there was no sense in doing anything else but tank. JR also had an opt-in didn't he? Why would the Knicks wanted to have kept that? They did him a favor by sending him off to a winning team.
Might as well trade players away and let the tank continue. They cleared the way for much, much better talent this year.
And besides, JR started talking shit all over Twitter anyway. I have no respect for that asshat. Fuck him and his clown drama.
Also, the fact that he hasn't been a single offer during FA speaks volumes of what everyone else thinks. He'll be earning pennies next season if he really insists on the Cavs.

Yeah some people hate the truth
If Coach Pop turns Jimmer into any sort of reasonably useful NBA player, he is automatically coach of the year. That said, this is a training camp deal. He probably doesn't even make the team.

the best part is that each of them has a completely different reaction to the question

On paper no reason why this cant be th 7 or 8 seed. It'd be cool to see Zeller play center though because Hawes/Al rotation is kind of disgusting on defense. Al coming of the bench wouldn't be too bad, right?
Zeller is athletic and can run the floor, they should definitely play uptempo.

Now Zach gonna have his goons ready to kill people for him so shit is gonna go up another level.
By psychintellect Go To PostKemba/LinAl will never come off the bench lol. Besides, since he's healthy and slimmed down (contract year cure), he should back to how he was the year before last. All the bigs short of Hansborough will see time at center most likely. Zeller's done it before and was doing good until he got bodied between Nene and Gortat. The 3 spot is gonna depend on how smart/flexible Clifford is tbh. I want to believe PJ can step in and fill that void but he's given me no reason to believe that given how his offseason has gone. It'll probably be a lot of MKG and Batum getting run into the dirt playing multiple positions but meh.
