By etiolation Go To PostIsn't it Phil v Vlade or Vivek v Dolan? To me that one is easy. Phil over Vlade and Vivek over Dolan.
By Dark PhaZe Go To PostVivek seems awesome. It's just that pd was terribleEeeeh he's said and done some suspect shit. There was the jazz band thing, his daughter's high school team thing, repeatedly hiring coaches before general managers, that weird video of him drafting Stauskas with all the yes men nervously nodding their heads. He generally seems clueless, arrogant, and in over his head.
None of that is worse than Dolan though.

By SamuraiX- Go To Postyou mean how he came to the Knicks and talked about how he was all about winning now which prompted Melo to stay because he was assured by Phil that they weren't tanking/rebuilding?
^ that's some real gorilla shit
not to mention he traded JR and Shump for a fucking lawn chair
This dude legitimately advocating trading away picks for mediocre overpaid talent ya'll.
Because the Knicks trading away everything for Melo and then trading away everything Except Melo for Bargs is what happens when u get into win now mode to appease a mediocre superstar.
Look at what Brooklyn did to appease D Will. You straight up advocating for that. About that "How come Phil correctly changed course for the betterment of the long term future of the organization instead of trading every asset they had for Rondo?" Life
Also, Melo had a busted knee, played on that shit JUST long enough to play in an all star game for his own brand and then shut it down and was rarely seen from again. But hey, let's mortgage organization's future to appease Melo with a winning team this season

Wizards say forward Jared Dudley had surgery today to repair a herniated disc in his lower back & is expected to be out three to four months
I expect a fine coming for the Bucks medical staff

Phil saying JR is a irresponsible and emotional shouldn't be news to any of us. Its not like this was on the level of the Woj piece on JR where he said he was a piece of trash.
Also the stuff he said about Shump is true too. Dude got paid and immediately got extensions added to his flat top and is wearing a white suit with crows on it. It shouldn't surprise anyone that he has a big personality.
And yeah every one of the knicks SG regressed last year

That's the infamous 4 on 5 defense concept he championed.
By SamuraiX- Go To Post"if you had to pick, would you rather have your right hand devoured by hyenas or fed through a meat grinder?"The Knicks actually look like a competent organization compared to The Kings.
By Grover Cleveland Go To PostMy boy Seth Curry about to get that deal.Getting those precious minutes Jimmer left behind.
Kings actually doing a solid piece of business
By HasphatsAnts Go To PostThat's the infamous 4 on 5 defense concept he championed.god i forgot that happened
cherry picking defense in the nba
ffs

By ratcliffja Go To PostIs he even in the league still?
Probably will play for us at some point this season...but IIRC he is still on the Pelicans
By Grover Cleveland Go To PostApparently the Hornets are signing Tyler Hansbroughnaw we needed that certified goon for hard foul/necessary thuggery/scrappyness purposes now that henderson is gone.
Jeffrey looking to move tickets
what the fuck
a trade for a dude with a herniated disk? that's that shit that's kept okafor our the last 2 seasons smh--they need to take a fucking draft pick for some bullshit like that

By Dark PhaZe Go To PostKings sign curryIm not really upset too much. I said it elsewhere but as much as I would like him as a prospect if it came down to Drew II or Curry I would prefer Drew.
Told you Jon :/ :(
Just hope we sign him.
β@MichaelVPina
Kendrick Perkins is basically a "Beware of Dog" sign on Anthony Davis' front door
And Im fine with that. Nice signing.
By IWMTB19 Go To PostTurnover Jesus is not a fate I wish on AD.
Like Curry he wouldn't even see the floor this season unless we have another catastrophic injury year. He would be behind Jrue, Evans, Gordon, and Cole.
Just grab a goon from the d league.
Like, why is Perkins getting paid hundreds of thousands of dollars? He's a fucking bum.

but....why?
a 1/30 chance at bankai is better than no bankai at all
By DY_nasty Go To PostWatching Larry Drew run point was literally the worst time of my life as a basketball fan.Did you get to watch his summer league at all? He looked pretty impressive IMO. Led all players in assists and was overall a good decision maker.....I mean its the summer league so, yeah, but I am ok bringing him in for a non-guaranteed 1 year contract to fill the Jimmer role.
Maybe he takes a step forward and if not he's gone.

especially when you take into account the fact that d-league dudes always style on other d-league players
may as well give that money to julius hodge

Just to stoke the flames, maybe this is why:
Gotta build that coalition to impress!
I know we don't actually have a chance. Perkins is the veteran guy for our squad. And part time goon when the need arrives.
By Moris Go To PostA one year minimum still seems like too much for Kendrick Perkins. His contract actually only counts for like 947k against the cap. Some sort of vet clause. Frankly I think like Salmons last year, he will ultimately be moved.
Vlade's big snafu is the draft rights he gave Hinkie. If things work out well, the Kings lose one pick. If they turn out bad, then lose a shitton of picks and a possible #1.
However, his FA signings have been solid. The Kings had one of the best starting 5 units in the league, but terrible bench production and a coaching blow-up that killed team enthusiasm.
This year, they actually have a really good bench unit. I know ppl here hate Rondo, but Rondo/Collison is way better than Collison/Sessions. I don't think people outside of Sacto and DC realize how truly bad Ramon Sessions was last year.

By Branduil Go To PostWhen your starting PG is Jameer Nelson, Sarah Jessica Parker starts to look like Monica Bellucci.
By Branduil Go To PostI've criticized the Mavs' front office a lot over the years, but they deserve a lot of credit this year for turning Jose Calderon, Sammy Dalembert, Brandan Wright, cap space, and late 1st round picks into Tyson Chandler, Chandler Parsons, and Rajon Rondo.
Not to mention the steal of a deal they got Monta on last year.
By Branduil Go To PostOur previous starting point guards were Jameer Nelson and Jose Calderon, Rondo can only be an improvement.
By Branduil Go To PostI have a feeling the difference between Boston Rondo and Dallas Rondo will be similar to the difference between Knicks Chandler and Dallas Chandler, or Milwaukee Monta and Dallas Monta.

Smh lol. I'm sure Rondo will play much better tho since there will be all that space to operate around the court and the instant chemistry they'll all have with each other and the loving coach.
By etiolation Go To Posthttp://www.sbnation.com/nba/2015/2/4/7976569/sacramento-kings-lineup-starters-ty-corbin-demarcus-cousinsYeah but now you're starting Rondo.

I don't know what to make of the Kings. They changed and added a bunch of stuff, but I don't know if that makes them better.
By etiolation Go To Posthttp://www.sbnation.com/nba/2015/2/4/7976569/sacramento-kings-lineup-starters-ty-corbin-demarcus-cousinsDo those number hold up through the entire season?

Rondo pretty much has to be on his best behavior and skill. This is basically his last chance at not being over in China going against Marbury.
He was "better" during his stint with us but that's because our point guards are dudes who just got off the night shift at Walgreens

I don't get rondo. You're so damn good at things that are really hard to be good at, but you'd rather play connect 4 than work on your free throws even when tens of millions are on the line.
