I actually feel terrible for Mudiay. Dude's gonna waste years on a treadmill mill too terrible to crack the playoffs but just "good" enough to get stuck with only late lottery picks at best.
His #2 and #3 options are gonna be Danilo Gallinari and Wilson Chandler for at least the next 3 years.
rip

Where did you hear this and what did he say? Just the other night he seemed to hint heavily that we would sign him with all the talk about having a Curry on the roster and how he is definitely an NBA player.
Although if it come to him or Cole I will keep Cole.

just based off the nba tv interview I saw him in--interviewer was basically like "so yall signing him right" and he kind of went with the copout answer of "he should definitely be on an nba roster"--I just didn't see the enthusiasm in his answer
Q & A with Kristaps "K-Porzee" Porzingis
Stunned just how Americanized and structured the dude is at 19. Even more than Gallinari when Knicks drafted him.

there are a lot of things about Kristaps that go completely against the mold of the euro stereotypes
hope he does well

Dude listens to Meek Mill and watches tapes of KG and Dirk that his brother prepares for him. Already getting my hopes up right there...
Carmelo Anthony reached out to me after I got drafted. He said, "Congrats, welcome to the team." I didn't have his number, so I texted back, "Who's this?" And then a few minutes later, he said, "This is Melo" with his No. 7 as the "l." I met him actually when I came for my Knicks tryout for the first time. We've talked a couple of times since then.Something about this made me lol.
I wrote blurbs for every team's offseason for the upcoming 15/16 NBA OT and I feel like I should share this one:
Denver Nuggets
"Emmanuel Mudiay Has A Lot To Learn From Soon To Be Ex-Teammates"
Mudiay plans to waste no time picking the brains of soon to be Ex-teammates Gallinari, Lawson and Faried. “There’s a lot to learn from those vets, but I know I have to be quick about it.”
35-year old Richard Jefferson just gave the Mavs a #youdontqualify
I think it's pretty hilarious that 3 weeks into free agency and the Cavs still haven't figured out TT's contract.

I really don't know why the mavs didn't just have a firesale sans the matthews max
retiring with one team is just w/e and dirk could be doing good work elsewhere--with a proper tank and good scouting the Mavs could add some nice prospects very quickly over the next two seasons

I know dat feeling.
Wow Phil went in on JR and Shumpert.
"J.R. had been exhibiting some delinquent behavior and had gotten into the habit of coming late to team meetings, or missing them altogether," Jackson says. "Also, Shump and Tim [Hardaway Jr.] were regressing, so I decided to meet with them separately and try to find out what, if anything, was bothering them."
Smith was first on the list. "We talked about his statement to the press that our shooting guard depth was going to be the team's asset, but so far it hadn't worked out that way," Jackson says. "He was supposed to carry the scoring load for the second unit and he wasn't doing the job. I also said that because of his unacceptable behavior, he had two strikes against him with this team. He didn't really respond. He's a very sensitive guy, with his big doe eyes. He looked like he was going to tear up. But he finally responded that he was going through some issues with his gal."
Phil throwing peoples' personal business out for the world to soak in with the hope that everyone is just going to suddenly ignore the gargantuan pile of gorilla shit in the middle of the room.
What a class act.
What a class act.
The Kincks paid Melo, but tanking through his prime is a pretty strong statement that they don't really believe in him.
Considering this stuff was over lunch with Rosen months ago (and Rosen's an old friend) I could see why he opened up like that. But yea if they were both clear those exact words would get printed and Phil ok'd it, that's not cool.
Although, as SAS said, this has been Phil's MO and I don't remember people coming to Kobe's defense when Phil was throwing him under the bus.
The kings have been utter horseshit for more than a decade. I don't think pretending that a team in year 1 of a rebuild counts as gorilla shit in the middle of the room.

By DY_nasty Go To PostNobody coming to JR's defense. Phil is just still a dick.
Yea. He's always struck me as more aloof to be honest. He's a weird dude and he doesn't talk for more than a few minutes before him being weird doesn't shine out. I think most people in the NBA don't like him cuz he doesn't know how to handle lots of social situations well. He's no doc rivers I can tell u that.
Phil def was out of bounds and it was pretty messed up to Shump, but a clowns job is to be laughed at so I won't feel sorry for JR. Not like he ever valued his privacy anyway lol.

not to mention he traded JR and Shump for a fucking lawn chair
knowing Phil, he's already planting seeds of resentment and/or alienating himself to get out of there by the time Jim Buss steps down.
By SamuraiX- Go To Postyou mean how he came to the Knicks and talked about how he was all about winning now which prompted Melo to stay?breh don't even get started on the fucking kings. you guys just traded a 1st round pick for the rights to trade away another first round pick

your team fired the only good coach you've had in years to bring in a coach that immediately alienated the best player youve had in a decade
your team got in a bidding war with china over a player that hasn't needed to be guarded since 2011 - then overbid by 9.5 million dollars
yeah I used to think phil put people's business out there as motivation but it seems he's just fuckless for the most part
I just realized OKC had Durant, Westbrook, Harden and Ibaka all on rookie contracts at one point. With Ibaka pretty much making the minimum. How was the best player they acquired Thabo Sefolosha?

I'd bring up your Gondo-esque attempts at white knighting the Ls the Hornets have been holding all these years but the hilarity of dumping two young talents for a one season rental of Batum and your highly anticipated John Wall memoirs will speak greater volumes soon enough than I ever could
