Fact that Houston had to surrender two guards in Lawson trade, I'm told, enhances chances of Jason Terry returning to Rockets in free agency
ahahahahahahaha

?
Terry was solid for us. Just not as a starter which hopefully circumstances don't call for him to be this season.
Lawson has a problem but whatever. I can rock with Rox being the most unlikeable team. Sodium levels are upgraded around here when they do well despite the players
We keep the lights on for reilo around here
I think it all boils down to it being a steal for the rockets if Lawson doesn't go to jail. There are legit questions about his usage next to Harden but he could still be flipped for something else later unless he goes to jail.
Prior to this second DUI he was already on probation. so there is a legit chance the judge fucks his life up come sentencing time.

By unknown Go To Postdam ty is a good ass get for the rockets.off the bench maybe
Ty aint an offball guard and never has been
When Harden calls it quits at 2am and is heading home Lawson is gonna be the one to convince him to chill for a few more hours.
Starting Bev and 6th man Lawson is probably the best way to go, let's see what McHale does.

I wonder if Lawson comes off the bench. I worry McHale is too dumb to properly stagger his minutes with Harden.
So much depth this season.
Lawson/Beverley/
Harden/Thornton/Terry
Ariza/Brewer/McDaniels
DMo/Jones/Dekker
Dwight/Capela/Harrell
Morey da wizard

over/under 20 games til ty lawson slaps the shit out of dwight at center court
edit: forgot about this lol
edit: forgot about this lol
solid trade for both teams--nuggets get a pick in the 20's for sure next year and the rox get a hell of a player
west is doin too much lol, hope KD enjoys putting his body on the line without rest for 82 games only to catch a 3 seed and a second round exit
meanwhile we'll get the same result in washington while taking games off and giving 75% effort through most of the year

By pilonv1 Go To PostahahahahahahahaWhy are you laughing? Terry being a veteran presence in the locker room is the only chance we've got to counteract Lawson's fuckery.
It's like the whole DeAndre/Clips fucking over the Mavs didn't happen. Sigh. Lawson gets a fresh start, but McHale is too much of a player's coach to instill the right sort of discipline. Hope he manages to turn it around (as much as people laugh at Josh Smith, he seemed like a quiet guy off the court. He was fixable in a way Lawson doesn't seem to be).
Positives at this stage are not letting go of TJones, but somehow offloading Dorsey. We'll see what happens with the rest.

ty is one of my favorite players in the league but even i know that this is a situation where it'll be almost entirely up to himself to get his shit together. all houston knows how to do is damage control. they never fix player issues.
decent buy low. Papa and the late first the only possible value. Didn't even lose TJones. Morey gambling.
sooo apparently lakers were trying to hop in

you can throw veterans and talent, but at the end of the day McFail is your coach...with a contract extension.
a swaggy p, kelly, and sacre wasn't enticing enough?

By etiolation Go To PostDoes Prigioni hang around the NBA another year after he gets released?
Maybe if the Spurs have interest, but I doubt it. Didn't they already sign a 3rd PG?
By K@do Go To Postwhat do you get when there's a party with an abused signficant other,
underage girls, and prostitutes with STDs?
A: The Houston Rockets.
I was going to say dream...
By thekad Go To PostMaybe if the Spurs have interest, but I doubt it. Didn't they already sign a 3rd PG?
Well half the PGs don't even play the PG position to facilitate and handle the offense but rather settle for scoring roles. SA needs a younger player who can facilitate or learn how to.
Parker and Ginobli are basically our PGs while Green, Mills, and McCallum basically score and play the 2.
Going small, Danny Green can probably play the 3 too and Kawhi the 4 then Diaw/Someone else as the 5, but with such a loaded front court I don't even think that line up will have play very often.
By IWMTB19 Go To PostWhy did the Lakers want Lawson when they have so many guards already? lol.seeing as how Mitch operates, I'd wager trade bait.
By K@do Go To PostCavaliersAccurate
Rockettes
Damian Lillard
Clips
I haven't felt the urge to say fuck da Knicks in months
prob why Smoove moved too...if Jones wasn't leaving he probably couldn't be promised whatever time Doc probably offered him
By K@do Go To PostCavaliers
Rockettes
Damian Lillard
Clips
Clips, Cavs, and Rockets have held the title of most unlikeable for a while in the post-Lakers era (Post-Heat by extension).
Damian Lillard ain't that bad. YNB is and the Thunder are more unlikeable than Dame.
By IWMTB19 Go To PostRussell/Lawson/ClarksonMitch, and Scott already said Russell and Clarkson will be playing together and Kobe at the 3.
Kobe/Lou/Young
What?
Russell/Lou
Clarkson//Jabari Brown
Kobe/swaggy/Anthony Brown
although, i do want Russell to actually earn the starting spot and not just thrown there.
I predict Russell is coming off the bench come opening night though.
By Shun Go To PostClips, Cavs, and Rockets have held the title of most unlikeable for a while in the post-Lakers era (Post-Heat by extension).Naw, Russ is cool. The only reason I didn't him before was because he basically played PG backwards, if that makes any sense. He's transcended logic now so it doesn't matter lol
Damian Lillard ain't that bad. YNB is and the Thunder are more unlikeable than Dame.
Damian is Sebastian Telfiar with talent.
I don't think Russell is starting this season, his NBA-readiness has been questioned after his rough summerleague start and LA is determined to develop Clarkson as an off ball 2 guard to play next to Russ in time.
By DY_nasty Go To Postthere is no fucking way that ty is going to listen to jason terry of all people lmao

"I knew he [Dwight] was going to come back soon, so we had to have a meeting about what was going on β what he needed from me, what I needed from him," Harden continued. "JET (Terry) is one of the leaders also. He has won championships (2011 with the Dallas Mavericks). He has that experience. I always listen to him, and get feedback from him."Lawson might not listen to Terry directly, but Terry has some influence over Harden. If Lawson can't be saved, I'd like to think Terry could at least shield the rest of the team with his presence.
I'm really hoping all Lawson needs is a fresh start. Really, really hoping. Right now, though, that Harden/Lawson pairing doesn't seem ideal on or off the court.

By psychintellect Go To PostHe's pretty good though. He's in the last year of a rookie contract and he's going to get paid next summer. Houston probably moves him before then.
Would love if Raptors could some how get T Jones. our PF situation looks pretty bleak right now... lol Patrick Patterson and Luis Scola -_-
By psychintellect Go To PostHe's pretty good though.
nah
inconsistent as fuck all
but we don't have anybody else there at that position with smoove gone...so he unfortunately stays and i'm forced to watch him awkwardly run up and down the court with that fuking swirl part in his head
By Smokey Go To PostnahEh.... I'm kinda on the fence about Jones because that offense isn't really built for anyone to be consistent outside of their main guys.

At the same time, I don't know where a guy like Jones could really go.
By Smokey Go To PostTerrence Jones needs to go.For what, though? We have a spare roster spot now, and I'd like another defensive big, but I don't know if there's anyone out there who's going to stop Griffin/Davis/etc in the West.
edit: That''s a bit harsh on Jones. Dude had a freaky leg nerve problem and a collapsed lung that prevented him from developing last regular season. Don't think he'll ever match up defensively against elite PFs, but I don't think he's terrible.
By thekad Go To PostIs Taj expiring?
Well he did play for Thibs
This Lawson trade reminds me of when Portland brought in talented but super troubled players to compete with the Lakers in the early '00s. That didn't work out too well, because the chemistry ended up being all out of whack.
