By Dipro Go To Postthat swirl is ugly. What are you talking about? What swirl?
"All you hear is Kobe's mouth" means what exactly? KG constantly talks when he's on the floor. So did MJ. Some dudes are quiet and some dudes won't shut up but it's not only trash talking right?

Yeah I like those a lot more. The "swirl" make sense too in the context shown. I like it.
By Moris Go To PostClips shoulda renamed themselves when Balmer bought the team tbh
If they moved to Seattle, sure. Why do you think that currently though?
A boat isn't a good logo. Like how the lakers don't actually have a lake.
The colors and art and stuff are awesome. But a 19th century boat and some water aren't really good symbols for a basketball team

I just don't think it's a good name. The team doesn't have a ton of history and at the time of the purchase there was a 'wipe the slate' mentality, I think the league woulda approved a name change pretty quickly.

It's already an uphill battle trying to get mindshare in LA without having to start all over again with a new name. And at least the name "Clippers" refers to a naval ship, while LA is technically a port city.

Every transplant in LA hopped on the bandwagon when the Lakers lost CP3 to reasons. I don't really think it would hurt them, but I don't really think it would have made the brand stronger either. If it doesn't really matter why spend a bunch of money re-branding?
I do still dream of the Seattle Clippys though.
By reilo Go To PostLook how quickly it took for Plumlee to take on my troll behavior. He's always had a surprisingly colorful personality for someone who grew up in the corn fields. It's like he was designed in a lab to be a fan favorite.
You're going to be backtracking very hard on your Plumlee hate this season.

Not a surprise to me.
edit: I should add its because he failed the physical, which is why it's not a surprise. Great defense, but rarely there to play games.

By Moris Go To PostJosh Smith to The Clips. What an amazing turn of events LOLthis makes me happy because Kings can't get him
this also makes me happy because they're bringing in a dude who dagger'd their team's conference finals aspirations with step-back 3s
JR still has yet to get paid though, which is both strange and frightening

ESPN and ABC, two pieces of the Walt Disney empire that have pushed in recent months to find new ways of working together, said they would air NBA basketball games on ABC for eight Saturday nights between January and April β putting more primetime sports on ABC on weekends.http://variety.com/2015/tv/news/espn-abc-saturday-night-basketball-1201542001/
ABC and ESPN will, starting next year, televise NBA games four days per week on one network or the other: Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, including three in prime-time.

not great at this point in his career
Terrible really
By Dark PhaZe Go To PostSo I guess Paul is gonna play a lot of 3.What had he been playing for the Wizards?
not great at this point in his career
Edit: Did the Clippers just outright side Smith or did they do an S&T? I can't find the information anywhere.
Second Edit: I saw one article mentioning he signed for the minimum, which means we keep Crawford. I can't believe we actually have a bench again. The only question is the lack of maturity, but if they can pull it together, the Clippers have a ton of potential talent.
By ratcliffja Go To PostWhat had he been playing for the Wizards?he filled any position where someone was clearly shook as fuck lol

Seriously, I can't believe he's signing for the minimum. He's wildly uneven, but how is nobody willing to take a slight risk on him after all the ridiculous contracts being thrown around?
I appreciate what Josh did for us. We don't win the Clippers series without him but he was also awful at times. Kinda crazy Daryl didn't try to bring back Dwights boy.

He doesn't really lose much by signing for the minimum.

I don't think we'll miss him as far as bigs. But we'll definitely miss him as a playmaker something they still haven't addressed this offseason.

Which is kind of stunning. He's leaving Houston, which beat the Clips largely because of his play and make the WCF, to join the Clips for less money. And also, likely, less minutes.
And I thought Smith and Howard were best friends?
What is the explanation, here? So weird...
By thekad Go To PostMorey didn't even offer anything? Lol
I wonder if something was going on behind the scenes

The Rockets offered Josh Smith the non-bird exception of roughly $2.5 million for the 2015-16 season.
By Mamba Go To PostI hope we get to see a Rivers-Lance-Wes-Smoove-Jordan lineup. ALL THE SPACING IN THE WORLD.I forgot we signed Wes Johnson. Yeah I like our depth a lot more than last year to say the least. Also, I wouldn't mind Josh getting a lot of time playing the 3 position. Pierce is going to need rest and Smith is going to need to play a decent amount of minutes with the starters anyway.
Edit: This is also a contract year for Lance, so if he sputters here, he's going to have a hard time finding a good team next year.

josh at the 3? great

Listening to NBA lockdown on the DeAndre saga and Tim from ESPN says Parsons expects Fegan to get him a 9 figure contract next. LOL Mavs
By Mamba Go To PostHe was offered $2.5 million by the Rockets and turned it down. The bigger the contract he signs, the less the Pistons pay him. I don't remember how the math works exactly but he's not losing that much.

There must've been some kind of friction though if he prefers to play with Deandre and co.

you're already dead.
By DY_nasty Go To Postwes adds depth? sureI mean Wes Johnson was a lesser player on a terrible Laker team so I'm not counting on him being anything more than a third stringer, but I also don't think he's outright terrible from what I've seen. Did you see our bench last year? You know things are bad when your impact player on the bench is Austin Rivers.

By Forever Go To PostThe bigger the contract he signs, the less the Pistons pay him. I don't remember how the math works exactly but he's not losing that much. Are you sure that's true? Because he was waived and stretched, so I don't think that factors in at all. I think that's only true for amnestied players who were bidded on.
There must've been some kind of friction though if he prefers to play with Deandre and co.
By thekad Go To PostWhat if Doc told Josh he could start at the 3 lol
Pierce coming off the bench? I doubt that.
