Part of it is just how Vlade is and is known as being so within the league.
It may also be his way of dealing with all the false rumors. The narrative was that the Kings couldn't overpay anyone to come here, and every FA signing was adorned with "but the Kings offered more", but in the end it was only Bargs who took (possibly) less money to stay in NY. Matthews got paid big by Dallas and the other rumors end up being false.
I doubt that changes the narrative, but at least the info is out there for those who care to look.

If I were the players, no way do I opt out. 50% BRI is still damn fucking good and they took such an L last lockout. With the TV deal, they're better off in 2018 than they were under the old CBA and no TV deal (granted a TV deal would always come and they'd be even better, but I'm only looking at priorities).
This is not a fight they should want to have. Make the owners opt out if they must.

Honestly pretty much everybody from that free agency class got fucked–both Cousins and Wall are two of the bigger names on that list. Shit like this is like…THE reason people have agents, and a bunch of them didn't do right by their clients. A lot of that is probably on ownership or the league from keeping shit quiet for as long as they possibly could though.

Once Detroit got rid of Smith, SVg haf them playing pretty good ball. Had Brandon Jennongs getting 20 assist games and playing all aroun. pretty well for the first time ever. I think Reggie Jackson is going to be really good for them Drummond is good. They picked up Baynes, whos pretty good and Stanley Johnson has probably been the best player in SL, if that means anything.
Knicks will have Melo coming of a knee injury. He should be good enough to win 20-25 games by himself. Afflalo should be a good pickup, Lopez as well.

He's obviously not good enough for the league and the only reason he played a couple minutes in the playoffs against Denver was as a favor to the senior Karl. I remember reading all those stories about their relationship and how they both survived cancer and was glad his son made it to the league.
