So regardless of what did or didn't happen the org didn't help itself by looking so disorganized, hostile and fucked up.
By Knicks PR DepartmentWe did not believe the allegations then, and we don't believe them now. We feel strongly that the jury improperly and unfairly held Isiah Thomas responsible for sordid allegations that were completely unrelated to him, and for which MSG bore responsibility. In fact, when given the opportunity, the jury did not find Isiah liable for punitive damages, confirming he did not act maliciously or in bad faith. We believe Isiah belongs in basketball, and are grateful that he has committed his considerable talent to help the Liberty succeed.Really, Knicks? You're gonna die on this mountain?
By dbSo regardless of what did or didn't happen the org didn't help itself by looking so disorganized, hostile and fucked up.Have the Knicks *ever* been concerned with appearances under Dolan?
By RBK Go To PostPatty Mills is Gary Neal 2.0.I'd be happy with that.
By rodeoclown Go To PostYou guys aren't going to believe this but the Timberwolves have Okafor ahead of Towns on their draft board.
YES! YES!
By h3ro Go To PostSo Zeke just got named President of the Liberty and has part ownership of the team.
Dolan strikes again, only a matter of time until he's back with the knicks.

funny thing is you should probably WANT that, less chance of showing off your flaws as well as injury

This hiring is so that he can move his shit into an msg corner office without the league getting suspicious. Why else would you be a wnba executive? Do they even get paid?

By KingGondo Go To PostNot only that⦠But how can you put Isiah Thomas in charge of anything considering his record of failure?
Knicks and Nets are gonna be terrible forever.
He is a dick, but he might be one of the best drafting GMs ever..
He picked Mighty Mouse at 7, Camby at 2 and McGrady at 9...
Also Lee (30) Chandler (23) Robinson (21) and Ariza (43)....
Does it matter when you trade away the picks that became Hayward, LMA, and Joakim Noah , and give Jerome James $30 mil?

Imagine G-TYME in NY
The feat? Isiah Thomas' fiscal irresponsibility became so extreme during his time as Knicks president from 2003-08 that he paid $120 million for a total of 82 games played.
To be fair, that nine-figure sum was given not to a single player, but to seven who played either partially for the Knicks or never at all. As a comparison, Michael Jordan received a record-breaking $33 million paycheck from the Chicago Bulls in 1996-97, a season in which he averaged 30 points a game and led the Chicago Bulls to a fifth championship in seven years.
The Isiah Seven? They averaged 10.6 points per game over the combined 82-game span, equaling a third of the production for three times the price of that Jordan season.
If the $120 million figure sounds preposterous, that's because it is. In all, Isiah Thomas effectively lit $50.6 million on fire by paying Jerome Williams, Maurice Taylor, Dan Dickau and Stephon Marbury for seasons in which they did not play for the Knicks. While it's true that the Knicks may have been better off without them, $50 million is expensive kindling.
lol

This analysis underlines why Isiah era was a far greater disaster than this year's 17-win Knicks. Not even close. https://twitter.com/tomhaberstroh/status/595936977293340672 β¦

I remember waiting for that pick forever, then being so mad we used it on some white kid that looked like he was 15.

Would've drowned in models.
Chad Ford did his pre-lottery mock draft.
1. Minnesota - Towns
6. Sacramento - Turner
7. Denver - Winslow
8. Detroit - Hezonja
9. Charlotte - Oubre
10. Miami - Dekker
11. Indiana - Cauley-Stein
12. Utah - Looney
13. Phoenix - Payne
14. Oklahoma City - Hunter
1. Minnesota - Towns
The Wolves are really stacked with young players, which allows them to be pretty flexible. I've been in Towns' camp for a while, regardless of who gets the No. 1 pick, but I love the fit in Minnesota. His ability to protect the rim and stretch the floor are perfect next to their young core of Andrew Wiggins, Ricky Rubio, Shabazz Muhammad and Gorgui Dieng β and you are talking about the best young core in the NBA.2. New York - Mudiay
They need help everywhere, so need can't really factor into the equation. Here's why I would take Mudiay β I think he's the one player with the swagger to handle the bright lights and criticism that inevitably come with playing in New York. He is confident beyond his years, plays in attack mode all the time and while he'll make mistakes, I think he's the one kid Phil Jackson could build around.3. Philadelphia - Russell
I think the James Harden-Russell comps are right on. Not only does he provide something they utterly lack β shooting β but he also gives them versatility. Russell's ability to play both guard positions allows the Sixers to be more flexible down the road and his shooting should help open up the paint for Embiid and Noel.4. Los Angeles - Okafor
His lack of defense, his lack of elite athleticism and his poor free throw shooting are all major red flags for teams that are emphasizing smaller, quicker athletes who can protect the rim in the NBA. With that said, at No. 4, he's a no-brainer in this draft and paired with last year's lottery pick Julius Randle would give the Lakers a very impressive young front line for the future.5. Orlando - Porzingis
6. Sacramento - Turner
7. Denver - Winslow
8. Detroit - Hezonja
9. Charlotte - Oubre
10. Miami - Dekker
11. Indiana - Cauley-Stein
12. Utah - Looney
13. Phoenix - Payne
14. Oklahoma City - Hunter
By HasphatsAnts Go To PostWait, when did Turner jump all the way up to 6?He says he thinks the Kings like him better than Cauley-Stein because of his defensive potential. Turner was misused at Texas and he'll have monster workouts, apparently.
By psychintellect Go To PostWho is Dekker?http://www.draftexpress.com/profile/Sam-Dekker-6438/
P.S. I really don't understand why he has us picking RJ Hunter. Dude is completely uninspiring.
In spite of the KU aspect and how mediocre he looked at times this past season, I think I want Oubre. We have the luxury of taking a young guy with a high ceiling like him. Donovan might be able to make something out of him.
By KumaJG Go To PostWhat teams are willing to trade their pick? I want Cs to move up a look a little.
new york :^)
By HasphatsAnts Go To Postlol Gondo wants another Andre Roberson on the team.Eh, there's nobody that jumps out to me in that range. I'd sure as hell rather have Oubre than Hunter.
Plus it isn't like we need a strong scorer from the 2 with the rest of our roster. Oubre should be a solid defender at least.
Might as well swing for the fences.

By etiolation Go To PostSo complete Chad Ford bullshit fed to him by an agent. It's Chad Ford. His draft boards are usually wrong.
I think picks 5-7 will be Winslow, WCS and maybe a wildcard. It's tough to tell this early though. Workouts (to be fair) normally have that somebody who rises like crazy.
To me, WCS is the only prospect outside of the top 3 that I am pretty sure will be a regular NBA guy. A starter defensive big at best and a regular rotation guy at worst. I don't see much bust potential in him since his skillset will translate and his size is NBA approved.
