What other PG options do we have left... Nope at all the other options.
Gonna get some D-League or international talent to sign at what we have I guess.
How the fuck is Cleveland gonna afford all these signings other than eating up the taxes involved?

Looks like were probably not gonna be able to sign Shved or Jason Smith with the room exception cause they want to get paid more or some shit. What happened to loyalty?

Better scrounge the d-leaguers before LA or Philly does.

By blackace Go To PostCleveland might flip Anderson and Haywood for JJ thoI wish. I don't see us getting rid of Redick anytime soon.

but coming off a ACL tear... ugh

Joe is still useful to us and he's an expiring.

Eh, Jason Smith is useless if he's not hitting the mid range or the occasional corner 3. I'd go after Amundson, dude plays defense and rebounds. Between Porzingis/Kyle/some Melo you already have the 4 spot kind of figured out.
You need someone to back up Afflalo and although Schved played well, I wouldn't put any eggs in that basket, he's been terrible ass in too many places to rely on non-contract year Schved duplicating contract year Schved's performance

Haywood would be 10 mil off the books this season and Anderson has a team option for 9
mil... tax relief only would be tempting

Sources: Cavs exploring a trade with Lakers that would involve Nick Young and Brendan Haywood. Lakers want Haywood's contract.

Cavs have Nick Young as last option though. Would prefer Joe Johnson and Jamal Crawford over Young.

Sources: Cavs current plan is to resolve Tristan Thompson situation and trade Brendan Haywood before they think about JR Smith again.

Sources: Despite signing Mo Williams Cavs still want to reach deals with Mathew Dellavedova/J.R. Smith. They want as much depth as possible
git em Mitch.
Bleed them dry.

It's not just Joe's contract either, that tax bill is gonna be painful for a team that could easily miss the playoffs too.
So Ben Simmons grew from 6'8" to about 6'10" the past couple years but still plans to play SF in college and eventually the NBA. Intriguing as hell if he can actually do it.

the Russian doesn't want to give away anymore money. He trying to trim back. JJ can't get you much back anyways few teams can take that contract even if it's expiring.
By blackace Go To Postthe Russian doesn't want to give away anymore money. He trying to trim back. JJ can't get you much back anyways few teams can take that contract even if it's expiring. He's trying to trim back by avoiding the repeater tax, which would save us something like 60 million. Stretching Deron accomplishes that.
Guess who?
"I'm not going to be one of those guys that's just out here chasing that. "So, I understand we're not in that space anymore in terms of this group, but that's fine. It's just a reality you have to deal with, but you got to accept it and face it in order to get yourself moving and producing positively."

Why would players be loyal when they can be traded or dumped at the drop of a hat?

Yeah it looks like shved is gone but the most evil man alive Ricky Ledo is going to be at summer league. So he is a backup SG prospect and they haven't renounce his partially guaranteed contract. They had Daniel Hackett in twice from the Italian league who is a 6'6 combo guard so he's another candidate.
By db Go To PostWhy would players be loyal when they can be traded or dumped at the drop of a hat?Ask Bropez. We've been trying to do exactly that to him for his entire career and he's still loyal.

Maybe he just really really likes living in that area.

Jersey is right next to NY far as I'm concerned.
This pic made me lol
Wouldn't mind being in that sandwich.....
Reading the old threads, I completely forgot about shadowlark, the biggest heat fanboy there ever was. Did anybody find him and invite him here lol
How do people expect players to be loyal to their teams & fans when the owners of said teams ain't even loyal to the cities they exist in, or the fans that support said teams?
Loyalty doesn't exist in pro sports, ESPECIALLY in the NBA.

By DY_nasty Go To PostNFL is much, much worse about loyalty. At least NBA money is guaranteed.
True. But, I had the unfortunate disposition of watching a team leave.
Needless to say, that colors my perception of the loyalty concept within the NBA.

Brian Dawkins presser still fucks with me til this day though. Loyalty doesn't exist in any capacity in football.
4/5 reasons I root for the Blazers left. I can't honestly be that tied to an organization though. I stopped after it was apparent organizations couldn't really give a fuck less about fans. Fans are just as expendable as the players the moment they don't want to subsidize a huge fucking boondoggle of a stadium that is in pretty much all instances, in the red until it's "outdated" and the team needs to move again.

3 of those dudes peaced out on Portland, not the other way around.

I started rooting for the Blazers because I enjoyed that starting 5. I'm just different. I root for people not franchises.

When? Is this about the nut punching?
By fertygoApparently an racist fuck too.Why don't you jerks show references when throwing shit out there. I can believe someone's a douchebag just fine but you could at least provide the links.
Talking about locker room note at memphis series thing, googled about it apparently he apologizing tho.
I'm a little different from DB, as I'm a fan of both teams & players.
I don't blame players for looking the other way. Kevin Durant is arguably the best player in the league, and he's seen his team moved, his teammates & friends traded for peanut butter sandwiches, and seen his head coach fired for not overcoming chance & circumstance.
KD knows that they'll pull the plug on him in a heartbeat, like the organization has to literally anyone & everyone that walks through the door, regardless of their value to him personally, or the team overall. If he bounced next year, I wouldn't blame him one bit, just like I didn't blame Lebron for bouncing out on Cleveland.
