would be just hilarious if LMA signed with PHX over Portland just because being "the man" is the most important thing to him and he thought Lillard was stealing too much of his fire

9th-12th in the east seems about where NY will be, unless they slightly overachieve and the injury bug hits Celts/Pacers
Could sneak into the playoffs but would need a lot to go their way.
I don't see the Hawks being that high up anymore, especially with Carroll jetting to the Raptors. Also not sure how I feel about the Heat being that high on your list. And I completely disagree about the Celtics being a contending seed. We also don't know about the Pacers situation and Hibbert's status to completely write them off.
By Omega Go To Postspeaking of the hawks, whatever happened to Millsap? last i heard Orlando offered him the max
Hawks matched same day. Same hour. 58M/3Y
An LMA Suns absolute best case scenario would prolly be last years Blazers before injuries hit. That ain't even likely. He'd be so unhappy.
hurry up and go to the Spurs

Melo needs to move over to the 4 because he can't guard the perimeter anymore. In today's NBA you gotta able to rotate and close out on 3pt shooters. Knicks need some wing players.
Most players in their prime want to win, but they want it on their terms.
If he's humble he goes to the Spurs. If he thinks he's good enough to push another team into contention, he goes there.
The Robinson/Duncan/Aldridge passing of the torch seems so obvious though.

Phil's always employed 4's to stretch the defense. Menlo will get time at the 4. But you want the opportunity to play big too so you have that versatility. Every great team has both options at their disposal.
By etiolation Go To PostSoFor me, ideally:
PG: Darren / Rondo or Stuckey
SG: Swaglemore / Marco
SF: Gay / Casspi / ?
PF: WCS / ?
C: Boogie / ?
PG - DC / RayMac (Karl pls ;_;) or Beverley/Stuckey (maybe even get another year or two outta Andre Miller?)
SG - Ben / Beli
SF - Gay / Dorell Wright / Brewer / Casspi
PF - WCS / Scola / Quincy Acy / Villanueva
C - DMC / Jordan Hill or Koufos
As long as we stay clear the hell away from the likes of Rondo, JR, Gerald Green, Lou Williams and Josh Smith, I'd be ok with any of those other signings.

Pretty much. If he chooses the Suns I think it add fuel to the fire that some of the rumblings about his ego are probably true. Because the Suns to are at best Posttland from 2 years ago. But more likely last year. A perennial 4-6 seed, second round team.
The Spurs become instant favorites after GS. Probably even over okc.
And LMA, Parker, Leonard, Pop and Duncan is a better nucleus then Phoenix now and going forward.
By DominicanPower Go To PostThe Heat and The Warriors won championships playing small.
The Heat and the Warriors also employed Lebron/Andre at the 3.
Remember the Warriors had a lineup of Bogut/Green/Barnes up front to start most games. Heat started with Lebron/Bosh/Anthony or Lebron/Haslem/Bosh most games.
The Spurs had Kawhi/Diaw/Duncan/Splitter as their front court rotation.
As I said, every grwat team going back 20 years probably - has the ability to do both.
If Melo HAS to play the 4 full time because a frail rookie is your only real PF. You're fucked. Phil needs to find a starting caliber 4 for at least 50% of the time.
LMA on the Suns makes no sense and if he's jealous of Damian's presence then fuck him. Damian's drafting put the team back on a path to relevancy and gave him the best player he's had since Roy. He didn't like playing in Roy's shadow either.

Isn't it the same deal?

If anything i wanted Bledsoe to be more aggressive when he had the ball

Damian Lillard planned to meet LaMarcus Aldridge face-to-face today (as @Sam_Amick said) but they had lengthy phone call instead, per source

Its a lot easier to tell somebody to fuck off over the phone.
With Tibor Pleiss on board and Gobert fixing his posture, the Jazz now have two of the three 7'3" players in the NBA in Pleiss and Gobert (with Porzingis being the third).

Soon.
By D'Moris Russell Go To PostLabissiere could be Karl Towns 2.0
Ben Simmons is a 6'10" small forward who basically does everything
Jaylen Brown 3&D SF who could maybe be a good all around scorer soon
Brandon Ingram could be a poor man's KD
Mitch please, just tank
Fuck it then. I'll take the tank one more time. Though getting into the top 3 is going to be difficult.
The only possible way for the Clippers to save this season is if they can somehow pull off a three way sign and trade where Monta goes from Indiana for Hibbert and then Hibbert goes to LA for DAJ, but I'm not sure how likely that is.

Since Cuban bought the team, the Mavericks have been free agency players. I'm not surprised. Even if it doesn't always work (Erick Dampier), they're always active. Winning culture and no state income tax has a certain allure.
