I want guys who ain't gonna fuck up our losing but will make sure the lockerroom doesn't dissolve. Gimme dat Corey Brewer/Jordan Hill combo
sixers really should be done tanking
i doubt embiid is done for the year and they are going to have stauskas, noel and okafor on the floor at the very least
tanking before was justifiable, even necessary, but it should come to an end ASAP now that they have the top tier talent they were looking for

we're going to be better, but not bad enough to lock a bottom 3 pick.
we'll lose our pick to philly.
by next off-season, mitch is going to play the waiting game again and strike out on KD while losing 2nd tier players. Mitch is literally going to strike out 4yrs in a row with Dwight, Melo, LMA, and KD next year.
I'm numb. i feel nothing.

They know much more about Embiid's injury than we do. Out of those four players (five with Saric), I'm not sure the odds of a superstar is very high. Noel, Okafor and Stauskas seem like good 2nd and 3rd guys. Okafor also isn't a good fit with the best player out of that group.
Also they wanted Butler, Green and Middleton so they're obviously not averse to quitting the tank for the right young piece.
I have to admit, after giving Phil a ton of shit pre-draft he's done a good job.
Knicks should be a playoff team next year.

if philly, minnesota and nyk are projected to be better,
its not outside the realm of possibility that the lakers are a bottom 3 next season.

Philly will be shit most likely, NY and Minny shouldn't be as bad as LA. Kings are a mystery but Boogie missed some time last season and they were in turmoil all season.
LA has a real shot at being bottom 3 this year if we don't add any decent free agents

I think the Knicks are a relatively safe 7th or 8th seed in the East now. *shrug*

Or the season before that?
Don't get the Knicks love. They are setting themselves up for a pretty bad situation. The dreaded late lottery/perennial 5th-8th seed franchise.
Not bad enough to truly tank and get good picks and a proper rebuild not enough fire power to actually compete toward a championship. Always relying on the "hope" of that magical second superstar to fall into their lap.
And Durant isn't walking through that door.

Last season I was feeling high on the Knicks. Thought they were capable of achieving 5th seed...but no one showed up to play or wanted to play. And after 10 games I called it a season for them. But all of the injuries didn't help. And the season prior was nothing but injuries and terrible player rotations by Woodson, who seemingly got complacent and gave up after a 54W season.
Last season was all sorts of messed up for all. People thought the Pacers and Pistons were going to dominate and have great seasons. We all know how that turned out. That was a hell of a rollercoaster season for pretty much everyone, including the Cavs.

Celtics
Knicks/Pacers/Nets/Pistons/Magic/Hornets (no particular order)
Philly
9th-12th in the east seems about where NY will be, unless they slightly overachieve and the injury bug hits Celts/Pacers
Could sneak into the playoffs but would need a lot to go their way.

we are going to suck eggs this year.
What happened to Ish Smith da god?!
its not like they have a pick next year to tank for.
also if anything they're doing the opposite of waiting for a player to fall in their lap. That's what the Lakers are doing. This Knicks team won't win anything, but for 2016 FA class it'll be easier to convince some people to come play in NY because you'll have a decent pieces already in place.
Melo/Afflalo/RoLo looks way more attractive than Melo/rookies/?

Mitch: "Robin, we're offering close to max, be part of a youth movement centered around the second coming of magic, we can also promise you endorsements deals and hollywood contracts. And last but not least, front row tickets to all the nerd conventions here in so cal.

If denadre doesn't come, you can bet your bottom dollar you're our next guy."

They don't have a pick next season, they have to grab pieces to try and make the playoffs. Idk if they'll make it, but it shouldn't be top pick either. The hope is another piece next season with more space and a better looking team to present to someone.
I like Belinelli but not for anymore than $5M/yr. His numbers were down all across the board last season.
Whatever. A few million extra to come play for the most stupendous trainwreck in the NBA ain't terrible.
Hopefully this means Rondo talk is dead and we'll get some more capable 3&D wings to come off the bench.

By K@do Go To Postmilwaukee was the big surprise last season.I'd be surprised. It depends on how Wiggins progresses (I hope you're shooting 3s all summer, young man) and what Towns is able to bring in his first year, I guess. But for starters, I don't see how Bjelica isn't an upgrade on the power forward situation last year. They'll definitely be better. Just need to keep Ricky on the court.

I'm just really glad that I can go into a season knowing they're going to be at least trying to go for wins. The core in place already.
Apparently the Hornets wanted Belinelli. Must feel like ass for the front office to have one of your targets pick the NBA Mordor over your team.
Oh well, at least the Hornets haven't actively fucked up too much this week...yet.
