DeAndre Jordan is clearly interested in the Mavs. He'll sit down with them twice before meeting with any other teams (Lakers/Knicks).

DJ going to the Mavs is the next best thing to us keeping him since he'd be back in his home state and getting paid, which he deserves, and we could potentially get Chandler in return, which is the only way the Clippers could stay competitive.
Edit: Considering these rumors end up being true about 95% of the time, I would just assume that DJ is going to the Mavs at this point. The only reason I have doubt is because the Mavs never seem to land their first choice FA for whatever reason.

and why exactly would cuban gift you chandler in a sign and trade?
serious question
By Dark PhaZe Go To Postand why exactly would cuban gift you chandler in a sign and trade?I'd heard that it was semi-likely if Chandler wanted to come here that the Mavs would do it as a favor to him. If he doesn't want to come here, though, it's definitely not happening.
serious question
Edit: Austin's dad might have let him stick around in the league for another year or two with the way he showed up in the first half of the Houston series. I hope for his sake that he can stay in, because he seems like a nice kid.
Mavs don't owe Chandler shit. If you have a chance to send a western conference playoff team to the poopmobile, you fukin do it
Holy shit, just saw all this stuff. Green coming in that loyalty discount and dropping Splitter for LMA. RC Buford Exec of the Year. Game over.
By Grover Cleveland Go To PostGlenn's really that gully?Austin's a FA isn't he? If anything, Doc did him a huge favor by trading for him so that he could finally get some playoff experience under his belt. He even won a road game in which he was the starting PG.
He'll cut his son off and keep it moving? I got to see this to believe it

Spurs are walking into the LaMarcus Aldridge meeting right now, armed with Danny Green, cap space and frontrunner status on luring Aldridge.
Just give them the trophy now
pierce gotta be on some shit if he wants to walk into sharing a locker room with lance stephenson for the awesome opportunity of facing houston, SA or GS in the first round next year

With a $67 million cap, they'd have to trade Mills, which makes me right.
They still might have to trade Mills. No one knows because no one has the exact cap figure. All my comments related to a $67 cap, not $69. That $2 million makes a HUGE difference.
And I also said I thought LMA signs with Spurs but that they'd someone in the Green-Mills-Diaw group. So I've been right the entire time.

Never was big into LMA. Always thought middle pieces were the way to go this offseason. Not sure why LMA would even go to the Lakers at age 30.

ESPN sources say that Ajinca and the Pelicans have come to terms on a four-year deal valued, more precisely, at $20.2 million
I have been looking at basketball insiders for salary info, and their salary chart doesn't go far enough into the future to see when the Pistons have to stop paying Josh Smith.
By Mamba Go To PostAwesome! I was really worried we would lose Ajinca. Great deal for him. I'm really excited to see what a good defensive specialist(Erman) and Gentry can do with him.
The best thing about Monty is that his inability to use a number of his players has kept their value lower then it would of been under a more competent coach. Good news for us!

Russell should be good as long as Kobe doesn't freeze him out
Marcellus Wiley said it's not just LA staff who are high on Randle, other team reps and scouts said he's looking amazing in workouts this summer.
Tyson might be the guy the Lakers get. I'm actually fine with this. Tobias Harris is apparently being let go by the Magic. Wonder if Lakers or someone else max him.

Jimmy Butler, Chicago Bulls finalizing a five-year, $95M maximum contract with player option after four years, league sources tell Yahoo.
Too much money for him to chance it. Can't blame him. Damn Chicago and offering him the max QO for the first time ever.
Told you Ferty, Bulls had alllll the power and leverage in this contract negotiation, there was almost no way they'd lose him.
