meh,
BPA available as a defensive center is Chandler, and Rolo.
who else am i missing?
Beggers can't be choosers and at this juncture, there aren't a lot of available left.

I honestly don't want us to go after anybody this free agency. Would love a decent 3&D wing with some ok playmaking ability to backup Gay, but I'd be totally content if we just resigned Casspi.
Gonna go fucking cry in the car if I start hearing Rondo rumblings again.

It sounds more like they're leaning towards a scoring point guard off the bench. Maybe a Rodney Stuckey type. Mentioned a defensive wing as well. Corey Brewer likely due to the Karl connection.
Wondering if they send Monta Ellis an offer, though I don't know how they make cap room for someone like him.

I'd love to snatch Brewer but hard to imagine he doesn't resign with the Rockets. Wouldn't mind to have Jared Studley. As for guards, please god no, I'd take Rondo long before HaveItAll on this team. I'd be ok with somebody like Lou Williams though. New salary cap this season will be $67.1 million according to projections, leaving the Kings with about $15 mil to work with. Plenty to sign a decent guard and wing.

We won't know til it's finalized, but the rumor contracted that Bjelica will sign is 3 years and between 4-5M a season. If he's good enough to matter, he'll be an RFA at the end of that. And I'm just like, damn, being a Euro stash kinda sucks.
Ernie actually got a euro stash that's pretty damn good in '11 in Tomas Satoransky and we can't get him to come over :/

Kings looking into hiring Coach Cal as GM and Coach, Boogie won.
Sacramento ownership, dismayed over Karl's fractured relationship with Cousins, has had lawyers studying Karl's contract, trying to determine if there's a way to terminate him for "cause," and free themselves of the three years, nearly $10 million left guaranteed on his deal, league sources told Yahoo Sports. If the Kings cannot convince Calipari to come to Sacramento – or never make a formal offer – Karl could simply remain as coach.
HAHA ... I can't believe Karl did all that and pissed off not only his star but his FO. What a hack.

So this will just poison the relationship with Karl further and they'll be forced to keep him as a lame duck or fire him and eat his contract.

If they're looking I would imagine that don't care about eating his contract and firing him. It would be hilarious if they can't and they end up with a lame duck coach and an upset star player.

KD could make additional money by signing a one year deal in '16 apparently?

Why is Jimmy having meetings?
I mentioned all this early--that there was probably some kind of language in his contract about conduct detrimental to the team. This would surely count if he did act without authority and it hurt the relationship the Kings had with their star player.
The Sacramento Kings are studying whether they can fire George Karl for "cause" after he attempted to trade DeMarcus Cousins.http://basketball.realgm.com/wiretap/238477/Kings-Determining-If-They-Can-Fire-George-Karl-For-Cause
Karl has three seasons and nearly $10 million left in guaranteed money on his deal with the Kings.
The Kings have been dismayed by how quickly Karl's relationship with DeMarcus Cousins became toxic and irreparable.

At this point why would anybody want to work for the Kings. Such a joke of a franchise. If not for the Knicks being the perennial Knicks they'd be the laughing stock of the league.
So the Spurs can still give the 10 - 12m contract to Danny Green if they retain his bird rights, right?
yeah danny green should be a 4yr/$60M type player on the open market. I doubt he wants to give a discount since this is most likely his only opportunity for a big payday.
Calipari just completely denied any merit to that article. The fucking hate boner for the Kings from somebody is massive.
By diehard Go To PostFA article from Lowe
http://grantland.com/the-triangle/the-eight-biggest-nba-free-agency-questions/
Aldridge is an especially interesting case who could tilt the balance of power in the Western Conference. Executives have been whispering for months that San Antonio is his preferred destination, and the Spurs could clear room by re-signing Tim Duncan and Manu Ginobili on the cheap; trading Tiago Splitter; and letting Danny Green walk.2They’d have to let Green walk, because every outgoing free agent carries a charge on his team’s books — a “cap hold” — linked to his prior salary. If a team wants a free agent’s Bird rights, and the right to re-sign that player while over the cap, they have to keep that charge on the books. To fit Aldridge, the Spurs would have to renounce their Bird rights on Green, clear that cap hold, and lose the right to re-sign him once at the cap.If the Spurs add Patty Mills to the trade pot or convince Duncan to take a bigger haircut, they could squeeze out enough space to keep Green and sign Aldridge. But it’s very tight, and requires lots of juggling.
But thekad...
Unless you're a fan who's tied up emotionally, I'm not sure anyone hates the kings. Maybe Seattle peeps. Everyone else should be indifferent at most.
Well Woj and other press have run a string of false reports lately that have been denied by anyone actually involved. Woj has no credibility when it comes to the Kings. These reports keep coming at times that interfere with business for the Kings as well.

One thing I didn't know, the cap is ballooning to $108 million in 2017! holy shit, did not know that.
We're going to see so many deals with 1 or 2 year opt outs so these guys can cash in. LMA taking 2 separate 2 year deals in play. And anyone else. We'll see who does and who doesn't, but man oh man if I'm under 30 and good, no fucking way I don't take a deal with an opt out in at least 2 years...

spurs let green walk 10 times out of 10 for Aldridge
To be fair, they're letting Splitter, Green, Bellinelli, Baynes, Joseph, and the MLE walk to get Aldridge in that scenario...not just Green.
That is a lot, tbh. If they do it like that, their team wil be:
Parker - Mills
Min Contract - Manu
Kawhi = Minimum contract
Aldridge - Anderson
Duncan - Diaw
You probably still make this move but the margin for error becomes so slim. Unless they pull rabbits out of their hats (which the Spurs have done in the past) with those roster additions.

here' Woj's claims about Cal:
The Sacramento Kings are probing University of Kentucky coach John Calipari about his interest in taking over the franchise's front-office and coaching jobs, league sources told Yahoo Sports.
No formal offer has been made to Calipari, and Kings ownership understands that it will take a multiyear financial package of $10 million-plus annually to get Calipari to seriously consider leaving Kentucky, sources said.
So yeah, what Cal said doesn't refute anything Woj wrote. Woj said they've talked but no offer has been made. Cal says no offer was made. What's the problem?
You're in denial about the owner/front office.

So yeah, what Cal said doesn't refute anything Woj wrote. Woj said they've talked but no offer has been made. Cal says no offer was made. What's the problem?
You're in denial about the owner/front office.
1. No trade proposal of any merit existed. Not just that it wasn't close. The report of a "framework of a trade" is false.
2. That is a weasely way for Woj to say a job is offered without a contract. Cal's tweets report that Vivek and him discussed players the Kings had and were about to draft. That's the nature of their discussions. Not coaching the team.
This is what is done: Vivek and Cal talk about WCS and Cousins. So you have "VIVEK AND CAL TALKING", then you throw in that a NBA team knows it would have to overpay to lure Calipari and that's where you get that magical 10 million number. You then throw in "interest in front office and coaching" which is entirely made up.
You then put out something dishonest. In exchange, Woj gets to keep the source feeding him horseshit for when that source has real news.
Why this is so? Why does it get repeated in tweets by others? Because it's new media. Accuracy doesn't matter to the press nor the audience.
It feeds off the audience's prejudice that is built by a narrative. That's why you'll believe it, because you believe the Kings front office is literally a circus. That is the narrative and thus the prejudice. The Kings FO has been chaotic, but not an actual circus. There are limits to believability.
