By D'Moris Russell Go To PostI didn't realize that Houston is over the cap before opening their wallet for Beverly's payday, how much are Rox fans ok with paying him?
Then next offseason they have to pay or let walk Donatas, Terrance Jones and Papanikolaou
Tjones is probably traded. So is papa as a throw in.
Dunno on bev. They really should've drafted a PG but w/e. Maybe they think they can trade for one.
By db Go To PostI see some of y'all. Foh.Why is Robin leaving anyway? Money? Winning? Change of scenery?
By Forever Go To PostWhy is Robin leaving anyway? Money? Winning? Change of scenery?
His contract is up, it's just offseason speculation/talk
If Portland goes full rebuild I can't see them spending to keep him around tho, team's interest in RoLo is probably dependent on LMA decision.

Rubio
Lavine
Wiggins/Shabazz
Towns
Nemanja Bjelica/Dieng
could be a problem for the league
There's always talk if someone is up for FA, he said he wanted to be in Portland back in May but a bunch of shit has happened since then.
Haven't a clue what's going on with that.
Just eyeballin' everything like

By DominicanPower Go To PostYou sound dumb. You can count teams that won championships in The NBA since its inception on one hand. Okafor would of played with some vets in NY and LA.You either have a deformity or you're the one that's dumb.
Just to point out how stupid of a comment that was, you can't even count on one hand the teams that have won championships in the last decade.
also, it's would've, shortened for would have.
By ph33nix Go To PostDo you have me blocked? Look above.uh, because you're being drafted by a lottery team? None of these teams are winners or even close to being winners?
Uhhhhh why exactly is that the biggest red flag ever? Why is that a red flag at all?
Your job is to turn them into a winner. A statement like that just shows your attitude and that's not something a franchise player, or co-franchise(?) player would even say. That's something a pretend superstar like Dwight says.
By The Frankman Go To PostCan't lie, LMA looks good in a knick uniform.
:D
Grant/D-Leaguer/Melo/West/Monroe should be good enough for a ~40 win season and a playoff spot or close to it out East at least, Raptors ain't getting an amazing pick without a lot of luck.
@WindhorstESPN: LeBron James has notified the Cavs he will opt out of his contract and become a free agent, sources told ESPN
In other news water is wet.
I love how Lakers and Knicks fans and the media of course actually believe those teams make sense for Aldridge. Why would a player who wants to win want to sign with the worst teams in the league?
By thekad Go To PostI love how Lakers and Knicks fans and the media of course actually believe those teams make sense for Aldridge. Why would a player who wants to win want to sign with the worst teams in the league?Have you seen Aldridge's comments the last 2 years? Dude don't know what he wants, real talk he should stay in Portland.
Kado, what did I tell you about Porzi. Everyone laughs about me but dude is going to be amazing. Also, Lakers 'bout to offer LA a 4 year $80 mil offer. Thank GOODNESS that Love isn't interested in L.A., dude isn't worth a max and wouldn't do shit for the Lakers.
"All their financial eggs now go into the big-man basket. They want to talk to LaMarcus Aldridge, he wants to listen, and if all goes well for both sides, the four-time All-Star signs a four-year, $80-million deal to be the Lakers' power forward." according to Mike Bresnahan.

There's no way he wants in on either team right now.
Even San antonio is kind of a stretch Duncan, Manu and Pop are likely gone after this upcoming season, Tony Parker has a lot of wear on him so you basically get left with Leonard, cap space and a new coach, which isn't the worst thing but LMA only has a handful of great seasons in him. SA has to sell him on winning it all this upcoming season against GS, Memphis and Houston and then trusting they can put together a contender again quick.

... I still don't understand why LMA has done such a 180, this was a dude who has playing hurt the whole year, suddenly he wants to leave? Something had to have happened to him with the FO or coaching staff.
By db Go To PostAnother version.you used image trace in Illustrator?
That will be a very unfortunate situation if everybody leaves in one offseason. goddam.
Look at it this way Portland Fans...atleast you GM isn't a fuckboi who probably will end up getting your franchise blacklisted.

That one I used photoshop, pen tool, just outlined the shapes, make a new layer, control click the new path made, g for paint bucket, just fill it. Use the brush to touch up gaps.
Pen tool is one of the best things ever in PS and Ill. I use it more than just about anything.
Ain't nobody in the NBA who feels more alone than Damian Lillard right now. Literally all he might have left by the end of the summer are his millions. lol
I still don't get the Batum deal. Was he demanding a trade? Was it just because he had a down year?

"In multiple interviews, Alexander referred to getting dealt 'a bad deck of cards' while at Kansas. In the moments after the draft on Thursday, ESPN analyst Jay Bilas wondered aloud on air if the comments may have scared off NBA teams."Seems harsh to go undrafted because of that. I'll be rooting for him.
Self, his coach, said the comments didn't bother him and in fact, he thought they were accurate.
But his reputation got hurt and now has to rebuild his career. And to be plain about it, we are told Alexander is a good kid. His issues were not using or selling drugs, not a DUI, not stolen laptops nor a fight with teammates. It was about his mother needing money to survive on the streets of Chicago.
Assuming that we keep Teletovic and Young, and that McCullough plays this year, we're going to have a lot of Power Forwards.
By SamuraiX- Go To PostAin't nobody in the NBA who feels more alone than Damian Lillard right now. Literally all he might have left by the end of the summer are his millions. lolTruth is we don't know yet. Olshey may have knowledge that LMA is leaving that he isn't willing to divulge yet. Maybe nic didn't get along with someone in the locker room, or maybe it's a signal that portland's clearing caproom to chase a big free agent like gasol to convince aldridge to stay.
I still don't get the Batum deal. Was he demanding a trade? Was it just because he had a down year?
The whole thing is really volatile right now. We've already seen a promising team completely implode in a matter of a few months, so a lot of things can happen between now and the next couple of seasons. Most likely trading nic is a hedge to have the most flexibility possible in case aldridge bails. Despite him not having a good year, his expiring contract was still a very nice trade chip considering the skills he can bring to a team.
By lawlohwhat Go To Postmaybe it's a signal that portland's clearing caproom to chase a big free agent like gasol to convince aldridge to stay.I don't think you traded for Plumlee just to make him your back up center, especially not when Hollis-Jefferson could've slid right in at the 3. Plumlee is your new starter.

psychoanalyzing athletes is always a fools errand but jahlil could at least pretend to be enthused about going to the sixers
By DominicanPower Go To PostNo one is willingly going to play for a glorified minor league team. They've never really been in a position to sign free agents, but when they have they've picked up like Andrei Kirilenko and Kevin Martin. Batum was traded because Olshey was tired of his incosistency and that he wanted to get the most value out of him during a contract year.

To my surprise it seems Alan Anderson is opting in. He's a really good value at the vet minimum, but our cup now overfloweth with guards.
8 guards on the roster and we might not even be trading Jack.

So, when are the Hornets gonna try to be good? And when is MKG gonna play like a 2nd overall draft pick?

But offensively he's Kendrick Perkins before he was washed up. He's gotten better this year, but still. Not a 2nd overall pick type performance.
By jWILL253 Go To PostBut offensively he's Kendrick Perkins before he was washed up. He's gotten better this year, but still. Not a 2nd overall pick type performance.but outside of al, he's probably the most valuable player on the offense when you look at his efficiency :o
and i'm pretty sure a wing making a team saddled with al jefferson into top-tier defense is 2nd overall pick type shit :o
By jWILL253 Go To PostSo, when are the Hornets gonna try to be good? And when is MKG gonna play like a 2nd overall draft pick?but this is the best roster we've ever had :o
I'm pretty sure turning down 6 draft picks to pick a senior at #9 right after trading a 19 year old for a guy in a contract year is definitely trying to be good.
It's a terrible attempt, but it is an attempt. They're trying desperately to win right now.

Kemba doesnt know how to do anything but take shitty shots.
Hendo hendoes
Big al gives up twice as many as he scores(his game is so pretty though)
MKG can slash and finish, they dont give a fuck about him on offense though.
His shot has improved 1000%.
The fact that he didn't attempt a three last year isn't necessarily a bad thing imo. He know he doesnt have that shot yet but isn't bailing out the defense. Hell just keep it moving. I mean, not to compare the two, but you aren't going to see wade spot up in the corner, if he catches it out there he going to attack, like MKG should/does.
