By reilo Go To PostAre you not counting Kyrie's max salary or something?
Kyrie 15
LBJ 21
Andy 10
Moz 5
Harris 1
52 mil if JR and Miller don't come back and they cut Haywood
Funny timing: Damian is literally on a plane to France right now to hang out with Batum for an adidas promo.
By reilo Go To PostOh my god.
Meyers Leonard and Vonleh starting front-court. Fucking murder me. DY, suicide pact?
That frontcourt is so terrible at defense and passing, damn.
I'm guessing that Portland thinks they can improve the BBIQs of big men because Vonleh/Leonard is rock-bottom in terms of that aspect of basketball.
No draft picks changing hands in the Batum for Henderson/Vonleh swap Iโm told. This probably means Kaminsky to the Hornets at 9
:)
So does Charlotte take WCS or someone now? Seems like Batum plays the two with MKG at the three, no need for Booker or Johnson
By blackace Go To PostKyrie 15You're not counting cap holds my man. Tristan Thompson has a caphold unless they renounce him, and GM Lebron wants him to get a max.

RT @WojYahooNBA: Sources: Blazers didn't make deal as first step of rebuilding. Aldridge was aware of trade, and Blazers did deal independent of free agency.LIAR

Also, why are the Hornets taking Kaminsky when they already have Zeller and Al Jefferson, wtf, lol.
pilon is right, WCS makes way more sense than Frank. MJ is obsessed with old white dudes for some reason.

Tears if Hornets reach for Kaminsky at 9.
They must still believe in Biyombo as their only rim protection.

like I said it's not impossible...
'If I asked Kendall to play power forward, he would do it,'' Calipari said as he turned toward Gill one day, the last player in the gym after practice. ''Look at him. He is still at it.''
So what happened in Seattle? It was a playing-time squabble. According to Gill, Karl branded him unworthy of his $3.8 million a year contract and accused Gill of demanding guaranteed playing time as part of his deal.
''I just couldn't take working as hard as I did only to hear him say I wanted guaranteed playing time when I never asked for that,'' Gill said. ''I couldn't take it when we were blowing a team out and he'd put me back in the game for the last 15 seconds just to embarrass me.
''To me, he has an insecurity problem. He knows the game. If he let that other stuff go, he could probably be one of the greatest coaches ever.''
What other stuff?
''The way I looked seemed like a problem for George,'' Gill said. ''He used to call me Pretty Boy. I guess he thought I had a pretty-boy game.
http://www.nytimes.com/1996/12/10/sports/kendall-gill-left-a-bad-reputation-and-depression-in-seattle.html
I knew of this stuff in the past, but I thought Karl had gotten past it during his time in Denver.
Charlotte has been intrigued with Wisconsin's Frank Kaminsky with the No. 9 overall pick, league sources said. Kaminsky hasn't worked out for the Hornets, but league sources believe that owner Michael Jordan has great interest in him.lulz
By blackace Go To Postfor a team that has NEVER won a championship before I don't blame em
besides if they can get a high profile PF this off-season they right back in the mix
assuming LBJ doesn't opt out
Of course Lebron is opting out. We knew this before last season.
Again, these guys are opting out to re-sign for a 1 year deal, essentially, for more money. Lebron and Love were always opting out...even if they were the best team of all time and had tons of fun and won it all.
This is financial.
Portland rebuilding again. Ouch.
By blackace Go To Postlike I said it's not impossibleโฆ
All indications are that JR is opting in, no?
By Rick BonnellI am told the @hornets will also end up with Jeremy Lamb in a separate deal involving Matt Barnes' contract. Barnes isn't going to OKC.The dream is dead.
Good night, sleepy prince.
I am still not sure this is a rebuild for Portland. More of an insurance and asset move. Batum wasn't in their plans anymore and they got what they could.

You're forgetting Triston Thompson...his cap hold is $12 million. They're re-signing him to a near max deal anyway.
Cavs have ZERO cap space even if Love leaves.
By Vahagn Go To PostAll indications are that JR is opting in, no?no, he indicated he won't.

last I heard it was out
Feeling pretty good that the Jazz are going to pick WCS.
Not sure how happy I am about it, the talent for #12 is amazing, but that is maybe the worst fit I've seen in many drafts.

By reilo Go To PostOh my god DY. What sins did you commit in your prior life to deserve this?trollin everyone
Only flexibility Cavs will have is the Haywood contract, which is why it is so important to bring everyone back. No point in letting Love, JR, TT or anyone else go when you can't replace them with someone better.
Wow
Holy fucking wow
I am so sorry reilo... was Batum demanding a trade or some shit? LMA is gone almost for sure now. Hendo gone almost guarantees Booker future for DY but I doubt he gives a fuck since he just fleeced Portland for one of the best wings in the game.

By Kuma Go To PostBobcats about to usher in a new age of fuck ball. "You can't score and neither can we" type fuck ball.Literally the definition of fuckball
I am happy Vonleh can play his rookie season.
By reilo Go To PostOh my god DY. What sins did you commit in your prior life to deserve this? The Lamb deal is fine. They trade a player they weren't keeping (Barnes) on a flier for a young dude.
On the flip side, OKC just gave up on Lamb for nothing. That Harden trade looks worse and worse by the day. Do they have anything other than Stephen Adams left over?
By thekad Go To PostWow, I forgot they had Barnes. There was actually no reason to trade for Batum lolThey were going to cut Barnes if they couldn't trade him. And Batum >>>> Barnes, come on now.
By Mamba Go To PostThe Lamb deal is fine. They trade a player they weren't keeping (Barnes) on a flier for a young dude.We don't know what we got yet. Most likely the 39th pick.

So we got Martin, Lamb, and picks that turned into Adams, McGary, and Abrines.
I like Vonleh so I'm not seeing this as the huge disaster for Portland that everyone else seems to be treating it as.
Then again I always assumed LMA was gone anyway.

One of the worst trades for sure

Dekker is going 8th though.
