By lovingsteam Go To PostThe Lakers aren't giving all of their prospects and #2 up just for Boogie. You best believe if the Lakers give up Randle, the #2, and another pick they're getting more than Boogie back.
Why not? Your still potentially raping the Kings. It just won't be apparent until the TV cap raise when they can build around him using money.
By Morzingis Go To PostCBSSports is reporting that Demarcus asked to be traded a month ago and now LA is adding Julius Randle to their offer.fuck that, nope.
Magic: #2
LA:Boogie + #6
Sac: Vucevic+#5+Randle
Let's do this Vlade
noooooo.
i like julius randle :(
although, the #6 pick will get us hezonja or Myles turner?
Turner does intrigue me though, his defense, rim protection and the ability to shoot outside has me second guessing.

Is Okafor and Randle on rookie contracts a better deal that Cousins on a massive one? Cousins puts us into win now mode, which means we have to rush the process and have to blow money exclusively on FA's
If we had an under the table promise that someone like LMA would come to LA in that scenario, cool, do it.
You're also forgetting that they're getting Vucevic back. Vucevic, Randle, the 5 and the 6 is too much for Cousins who wants out anyway. They have no leverage.
is it me or Mitch wanting Boogie puts the lakers in a win now mode, so that tells me kobe's looking good and healthy.
brace yourself vag.

The Kings need to put more former Lakers centers in their management. I hear Bynum and Kwame Brown are available.

Boogies contract for the next few years is damn cheap which would help us when it comes to signing free agents but yep, not worth it if we have to give up everything else.
I'm fine with:
Okafor and Randle
Boogie and Hezonja
Boogie and a promise from LMA
But not just Boogie. He's too unstable, I don't wanna get Dwighted again

Kings have plenty of leverage. What's Cousins going to do? Not play? Not an option unless he wants his contract voided. Does he want to not play good basketball? Fine, further tanking it is then, like that wasn't already happening with or without him playing hard. And he can't get out of his contract.
There's no reason to rush this instant. You can wait and see which of these rooks look the most inticing and then pull the trigger rather than leaving it up to a drafting history that's been mostly terrible.

I think Randle can be a good PF in this league but he has obvious flaws even before he has been able to show his strengths. I think if Okafor develops into Boogie that's an amazing get, and the odds are against it.
LA has to have a first round pick this year so they can't give up the 27th pick, the 34th might be added to the package or LA can have a handshake agreement on draft night and draft for Sacramento. I'm cool rolling with Randle/Okafor and seeing what happens, but obviously I'd ship both of them out for a proven all star player in Boogie.
People got to keep in mind it's not what the Lakers are offering that is getting the ball rolling, Orlando wants Okafor so they're willing to part with Vucevic who LA doesn't want but Vucevic+5th+Randle+27th might be enough to get Boogie to LA. And Boogie's rep as an attitude problem is very real.

Because taking the best center in the league and making him miserable for a year or more is a great way to advertise to FA's that you care about their best interest.
Watch an episode of Entourage, you don't fuck over talent like that without it biting you in the ass in future dealings
It's been clear that Orlando isn't confident in Vucevic. Why in the absolute fuck the Kings would think Vucevic and a pick is any kind of package at all for Boogie is beyond me.

Him wanting to leave and LA getting him is kind of a shock and awe move against a inexperience FO though. The kings can (and should) just fire Karl.
Once the season starts and teams have a chance to take stock of their assets you got to figure teams will have better offers than 3 rookies, 1 guy who is sort of a rookie because he missed a season due to injury, and a center who only excels on one side of the ball.
He's a top future center on a 15 mil deal meaning you guys would have 2 seasons just to pile on players before you had to pay him. Its still a rape deal, if it goes down and the kings don't dump Gay on you I would take that as a minor blessing.

Boogie is locked up for 3 seasons on a relatively cheap deal, this literally can't go down like Dwight did, plus he's only 24 years old and has had no success in the league.

Your star player beefing with your coach while you lose, that's locker room disaster. Karl wants to stack Ws and ownership wants a winning product for their new arena, imagine Boogie dissing Karl, getting benched and/or sent to the lockerroom during games while demanding a trade.
Kings are a little fucked and can't start the season with disgruntled Boogie. Karl has got to go imo, but if their FO is split on DMC like reports have said, DMC has to go.
Vucevic, Randle, 27th pick, and moving up one slot to 5th is worth it for Boogie.
You haven't won shit with the dude and are going to have a poisonous atmosphere all year with the coaching staff.

yep at this point keeping Cousins will only lead to more drama. I'd try to keep 6 and get 5 tho and come away with Mudiay and Mario and have a potential lineup of Mudiay, Mclemore, Mario, Randle, Vucevic and just try to outscore everyone like Karl/Vivek wants to do.
"locker room disaster"
dude, they have nothing but busts in the entire rotation, mclemore is a year or two of bad play away from not getting offered a contract more than the MLE anyway
and there's a certain amount of time that would need to go by before SAC is considered to be unreasonable--they aren't going to blacklisted for trying to do right by their team

why cant the lakers just rebuild from scratch?
Reports saying Karl wants to move Cousins for Lawson and Faried but FO won't push the button on the deal.

This isn't some revelation, the FO and ownership is one of the most dysfunctional in the league for a few years running now. This just re-enforces that.
shit has been coming for months, Sacramento had time to get out in front of it but instead let it blow up in their faces. Kings FO looking really bad on this one.

easiest and best decision by far. Should have been done last night really.
I thought Denver was wrong when they fired Karl...
I take that bad. Dude is on some SSJ HOF Coaching shit right now.

Karl and Cousins haven't spoken since April and Karl would ship Cousins out for below average Nuggets players and Phaze thinks the situation is salvageable

and? the only way you get out of that situation is with real talent. vucevic can't even get out of the fucking east, he'll get demolished out west.
Hey Phil Jackson give Karl Bargnani, Calderon and the #4 before he gets sober.

THEY HAD REAL TALENT. They have a 24 year old who is the 2nd/3rd best C in the league and they hired a coach who hates him and has done everything in his power to get rid of a superstar center who WANTS to be in Sacramento.
I do want to know how Orlando gets the second best asset out of this proposed deal...and gives up "just" Vucevic.

i still believe. :(
Shakeup at the top? League sources say the Sixers want D'Angelo Russell and are willing to trade up from the No. 3 spot to get him. It would create an interesting opportunity for the Lakers, who could still get Jahlil Okafor and extract a future pick in the process. Among others, the Sixers control the Lakers' 2016 first-round pick, which is top-3 protectedhmm. give us embiid.
i still believe. :(
Kings and Rondo also have mutual interest in a 1 year deal to restore his value. If Sac gives up Boogie for Vucevic and then signs Rondo....what the fuck.
By knux-future Go To PostI do want to know how Orlando gets the second best asset out of this proposed deal…and gives up "just" Vucevic.it's Nikola and pick swap 5th for 6th and if it does go through probably some 2nd round fillers, and supposedly have to take on Jordan Hill's 9 mil to make the money work.

I imagine Orlando would want to wait until then to get the deal done as well so they wouldn't have to take on unnecessary salary.
Sorry Knux, but it's about time. Strip their pick and give it to LA.
The NBPA told agents in a meeting on Monday that it will actively look into the 76ers’ handling of the CBA, such as salary distributions, the cap floor and contract format loopholes. For the NBPA, Philadelphia’s approach over the past several seasons may not be a technical violation of collective bargaining as much as it is one of the spirit of negotiating under the CBA.
An NBPA spokesperson confirmed Tuesday the union’s plan to pursue the 76ers’ issue if there is a violation found.
Over the past two seasons, the 76ers have compiled a 37-127 record, staying below the 90 percent salary floor for majority of the campaigns before late season signings or trades.
Sorry Knux, but it's about time. Strip their pick and give it to LA.
It's really the PA being mad that we are doing the same shit Morey does except blow chunks while doing it. Its scummy as fuck shit but technically legal.
Silver pls....

Am I (and the Kings fans we have) the only one who still believes in McLemore...he was turning the corner before Vivek happened.

Salary cap guru @Larry Coon says Lakers can only get Cousins w/out matching salary after July 1. Salaries must match for any deal before then
who can we dump?
Hill? swaggy?
*im ok with this*
Ben's sophomore season was beautiful... for the first two months. 50% FG and 40% 3PT. Then his consistency went all over the place. Dude is too good to not eventually be averaging 20 PPG on those numbers. He would be the one nanofibrous string still connecting me to this franchise if DMC is gone over this bullshit.
RT @ailene_voisin: Just spoke with a very irritated Vlade Divac. Said he is not trading Cousins, and denies Karl pushing for any deal involving All-Star center
