Henry’s reign at Monaco:
2 draws
4 losses
4 goals scored
14 goals conceded (so far...)
Oh, and two red cards.

Really got away with a point today, Wolves witha nit of lick could have been up by 3 today. We really need new CBs. Leno played well, and doesnt deserve blame for the goal. Bellerin impressed, emery has lit a fire in him. Kola played well but it seems like we're missing Monreal, we'll need another LB to replace him. Auba is not cutting it on the wing, Emery either needs to play with two upfront or find a LW.

What a great season so far.
By FermentedFungi Go To PostWho would've thunketh that both Bundes and La Liga would be the most competitive leauges.Did you expect anyone else apart from Pool and City to have a shot at the title? I certainly didn't.
Chelsea/Arsenal still in the build up phase with a new coach and United explains itself.

Weak perfomance against the last placed team who were down to 10 for 20 minutes and still we only won thanks to a very soft penalty.
2nd place is now ours, Keizer starts in two days and his first match is against a third division team for the cup in two weeks.

Chelsea are only two points behind Liverpool and playing better for the most part. Don’t think they have the goals in the side that Pool do though I suppose. No one but Hazard is a goal threat.

I used to love international breaks as they were also a break from seeing Sunderland get rekt for a couple of weeks at least.
Our keeper told Alex McLeish to fuck off so he could play next weekend against Wycombe though, what a fucking LAD.

Wow didn't know McLeish was Scotland manager. All I remember from his brief stint as Birmingham and Villa manager is that they played some of the most boring football I ever watched. Think they both got relegated with him at helm.
Aye he was horrific at Villa but I think he just about kept them up. Not overly popular with the Scots either, it seems.

I'm actually intrigued by the England team these days, which helps
I'd normally be on the "Fucking international breaks!"-train, but fuck club football at the moment. Seriously. Moyes territory for United.
Today has just sucked balls.
AIK won the league over here to put the cherry on a diarrhoea sundae. Rat cunts.

Chelsea look like they have as many goals in them as Liverpool at the moment, and Liverpool are defending as well too. I don’t think either team is playing better than the other, however consensus is probably that Liverpool have a higher ceiling.
However City haven’t slowed down at all from last year, and that’s all that really matters. If you can keep up that kind of form, then the idea of competition is just fanciful thinking. The best any of the top four can do right now is just keep winning.

Very, very good second half. I personally don’t blame Ederson much for the pen — defense caught sleeping and if he did get their first it’s brilliant. He pulled his arms back and maybe some referees give him the benefit of the doubt in that scenario. Live by the sword, die by the sword with him.
Gündogan looked quite rusty at first which was understandable, but the man has a knack for being in the right position at all times. If injuries hadn’t hit him hard, I think he would truly have become a world class player.
Curious why Delph never came in. He was apparently warming up quite extensively at HT but then he didn’t get in at all. Nice to see Foden on to close out the game.

Fuck the international break, however I'm very much looking forward to the batch of matches that'll follow. I'm fairly certain Allegri strategically increased our fitness workloads soon after United - Juve in preparation for the crucial Nov / Dec period, as he usually does, when the calendar allows for it.
SPAL to start off softly and get everybody back into the club football frame of mind, then Valencia at home, where 3 points are a must, then the derbies with three of our historic rivals (to hear them say it), two of which are away. Gonna be good.
I hope to see Can back in the team in two weeks.

International break is a welcome one tbh. Hopefully Emery uses the time to prepare us for that nasty run of games coming up.
So I’m guessing you’ll just have a bucket of feed next to your desk that you’ll occasionaly eat from.
My students are taking their second midterm exam this Friday so I’ll have to grade almost 100 exams over the weekend.

Looks like Arsenal had an absolute stinker. Very happy for Coady to have turned out to be a PL standard player, he left us as a reasonably solid CM if I recall

Bought a massive tub of Barratt sweets since they were on clearance from Halloween. 95% of it is borderline inedible. Even Wham bars have turned out to be fucking rank. dip dabs are still okay. Who the fuck likes dolly mix?
