I don't know if I want big gub'ment shooting me up with lifespan shorteners anymore
By Pac-12 Go To PostI at least updated my tetanus booster in 2016 (last done in 96). Does that count for anything? If you didn't get autism it doesn't count.

I'm sure I'm on the spectrum somewhere.
At the very least, I have Spectrum internet.

Annually.
If you don’t get vaccinated, fuck you. This is one situation where ”Won’t somebody please think of the children?!” logically applies. Senior folk even more so.
Up to 646,000 die from it on a yearly basis. It’s risen dramatically over the last few decades mainly due to a lack of [people getting] vaccinations.
Ignorance is a big problem but not being able to either a) afford it or b) even having access to the vaccine in the first place is just catastrophic.

and honestly why im always hesitant. it used to be mandatory for me but now im ehhhhhhhhhh
I never got one and never get the flu. Last year I got it and it was horrible, knocked me out for at least two weeks. So this year was the first time.
This is more of the reason why I get it now.
By Smokey Go To PostYeah started getting them when my son was born, and it's free at soro anyway.

Best strategy.
I never did because unlike most vaccination's it's not a guaranteed immunity and it updates annually to the new strains.
By alt sy Go To Posti thought once you got one shot you were good for life. like chickenpoxnah, like Giri mentioned, there are new strains of the flu every year. The immunization is a guess to which ones will be most prevalent that winter.
I get it when it is covered by my insurance. Which it is, currently.
Always.
All of this.

Flu shots are recommended by the EU. Can’t be having Brussels dictate our lives m8.

If you work in an open plan office or retail/hospitality you can't avoid it. I'd rather be safe no considering what I had last year.
Funny I was talking to my uncle who's a toxicologist and used to work for the government, according to him there is no direct link between austism and vacinations, there was a term for it (where the evidence seems to point to something but it's not actually corralated)
I’ve never gotten vaccinated😪🤢before👈🏻❌since it causes autism😱😦and guess what🤧🤔I’ve never been sick before🤗😘my life is healthy💃🏻🕺 and bright☀️✨Those doctors🤪👨⚕️ will never get me🙅♀️💁♀️or my two remaining children👯♀️👩👧👧alive😠💪(RIP andy👦, jesper🧑 and lisa👧)Now I will go🚴♀️➡️to the internet🌐™️and spread my message📝🗣to the world☝️🌎🌍🌏Peace☮️💓, darlings💋👋

The autism vaccination thing comes from when a round the same time they test for autism is usually around the time when children get lots of vaccinations.
I'm all for vaccinations, but flu shots I dunno. I should get them since they are either cheap or free depending on where you go, but so far I've been okay. First time I got the flu was earlier this year and it was just a minor strain. I dunno.
I probably should and maybe this thread will push me to finally get them haha

By Doncicic Go To Postyou don't get the shot to protect you, you get it to protect those that can't get one.
What if you wouldn't mind your grandma getting the flu.
I hear it on good authority that 🐴 gets the flu and then goes around to nursing homes to give free legal advice.
the autism thing is ridiculous
im more worried about getting sick af or the cdc fucking up and killing me tbh

I'm still relatively young, so a flu probably won't kill me. I've never gotten a flu shot because missing work to be sick is better than working usually, so I take my chances.

My wife will make me go to the doctors with her for a check up on my child. While in she sends me to the flu shot line. It's good but also infuriating. lol

You remembered correctly. Then, some time later, Jenny MaCarthy picked up on his old busted study and made the BS mainstream.
I get it every year. Work were floating the idea last week of bringing someone in to administer it and they'd cover the cost. Found out today that my area won't be getting it as there was too little interest, only 8 people out of ~40 responded.
Its only 20 quid anyway but would have been handy to get it done in work
