Some City fans are upset at Liverpool for being better than them in the CL last year for some inexplicable reason
I think they're annoyed that the media seem to be willing us to win the lot this season, and they don't get the respect they deserve for how good they are, the complex they've built, the youth teams they've got, the football they play and everything else that has frankly been a result of them winning a lottery they didn't even have to enter in 2008.
When we beat City in 2012 they're attacking players alone were worth 142 million. Money can't buy you trophies.

I mean, Liverpool v City is obviously one of the classic European rivalries. Have to respect the pedigree of the two teams in the CL, what with having 5 European cups between them.
Fuck knows what's going on at Spurs
They were poor throughout the team imo against an Inter side who couldn't have made life easier for them if they tried. Along with Alderwiereld and Trippier being left at home, something is going badly wrong over there and it ain't just stagnation because they didn't sign anyone.

By Hitch Go To PostFuck knows what's going on at SpursIt's probably something as simple as their typically slow start to a season + fatigue from the World Cup.

I do think the poor transfer window is playing a fairly big part in it though. It’s no coincidence that Lucas Moura looks like the only one out to prove a point so far.
By Hitch Go To PostFuck knows what's going on at SpursJust a hideous amount of it comes down to having a papier mache midfield.

Dembele doesn't have 90 minutes in him, Wanyama hasn't looked great in a year, Dier's passing has become increasingly suicidal.
All this, and the fact we haven't played the same 11 or formation once this season, and near enough nobody in the starting 11 had much of a break or a preseason, means the everything just looks out of sync.
It's weird though, because just three weeks back we had a 100% start, and had just won away at a top 6 team, which is a bit of a weekness for us.
Spurs’ problems absolutely stem from the lack of transfer activity. They may not need new starting players because their first XI is quality, but they need rotation options. The squad needs a shot in the arm, coming back from the World Cup with very little time to train, and with Son playing in Asia. The worry for them is Chelsea, City, United and Liverpool just kind of leaving them behind before they have a chance to reinforce the squad in January.
To be fair it’s only two bad results in a row. They’re even on points with United and Arsenal, the two teams between Spurs and City are Bournemouth and Watford, and Liverpool have a really tough run coming.

It's been clear for about 3 years that we'd need to replace Dembele, it's been clear for 2 years that Winks is both not ready yet and stalled due to injury, so our entire lack of activity on CMs for the past 3 seasons has been like watching someone getting run over by a slow train they can see 5 miles away

Getting almost tearful from the Fergie flashbacks rn.
It's ok, Poch will show himself to be the true Fergie successor by turning Sissooko into a top (adequate) midfielder.
Do feel bad for Poch tho given the reaction to his press conference. He has not yet been bestowed with the official media mind-games merit badge, such that his press conferences are allowed to be considered as a valiant attempt to deflect attention away from his players.

You won't be questioning me, when you see 6'7 Sharkeisha destroy ankles at 5 pm
who needs a good touch, when you got this kind of core strength?
We can just hope the Sharkeisha - Kyoufu partnership is still working. The crosses to my head, the defending together as a unit, the free kick combinations

Yeah, non-direct flights just suck. I would be fine with sitting in a plane for 10 hours and arrive at my destination. But a stop somewhere in between with a couple of hours waiting time is just killing.
