The text was fine, but I do think the 2d was better. Could finally really see what was happening and how your team was positioned. 3d however, miss me with that shit. FM should always aim to be a game that is played, windowed or on a secondary screen.

3D engine is fine, the problem is that it doesn't accurately represent what is happening under the hood because it relies on canned animations and not physics. That isn't a pro lem in itself, but it can be misleading when it comes to certain actions like fouls or rebounds, etc. I would actually like them to fix back passes and GK simulation in general first. It's beyond awful and unrealistic. Think FM19 is a skip year unless training does really have a big effect and sim in general is improved.
FM needs to focus on presentation bits. The depth is there, but it needs to make the journey more significant; derbies and tournaments need to feel more important, players percieved value need to mimic their actual performances, individual awards need to have more of an impact on stats, revenue and interest from other clubs.
If Wooden wants a leaner version 2D only, FM Touch is already there. When they first added the dumb character creator I argued it was a waste of time and yet wooden was all over it making Trump lookalikes... how is that suddenly more important than a decent 3D engine.

In the end it was nothing that affects the game in any way though, and something I could have gotten from just importing a photo instead. What would affect the game for in a major way, would be if the game had to load up demanding 3D engines and render that shit. I want to play FM while I watch a tv show, talk shit on slaent and so on.
