Targeting right wing conservatives as your base seems dumb because they get grifted every day. Can't squeeze blood from a already squeezed stone.
By Lunatic Go To PostHonestly remember reading Twitter doing something similar a while backI imagine they actually communicated what rules those apps were violating and did so ahead of time. App makers now are left in the dark about everything and were not warned in advance, either. And Twitter refuses to talk with them to tell them what they need to do to get access back again.
Yea Twitter changed their API guidelines and usage (increased rate-limiting, removed access to some API end-points, etc) but gave developers a year or more to advanced notice that the changes were coming.

Twitter has updated its developer rules to ban third-party clients, almost a week after it unceremoniously blocked the apps’ access to its platform, offering almost no explanation to what was going on (via Engadget). The new rules state that you can’t use Twitter’s API or content to “create or attempt to create a substitute or similar service or product to the Twitter Applications.”Kill the products people want to use your service for
Did embedded twitter posts with multiple photos/videos always allow you to swipe to see the next picture/video?
Maybe this feature always existed, I dunno, but I like it.

WASHINGTON — Tesla's advanced driver assistance system Autopilot fell in a ranking of 12 major systems, Consumer Reports said Wednesday.lol
Of 12 systems tested by Consumer Reports, a nonprofit organization that evaluates products and services, Ford Motor's BlueCruise was first, followed by General Motors' Cadillac Super Cruise and Mercedes-Benz Driver Assistance.
Tesla, which was second in Consumer Reports ratings in 2020 behind Super Cruise, fell to seventh, the group said. The electric vehicle maker did not respond to a request for comment.
Tesla hasn’t changed Autopilot’s basic functionality, instead adding more features to it, the group said.
"After all this time, Autopilot still doesn’t allow collaborative steering and doesn’t have an effective driver monitoring system," said Consumer Reports Auto Testing director Jake Fisher in a statement.

By Pho Kew Go To PostThey really gonna charge people for twitter? Am I understanding this correctly? No, they locked down the API to Twitter behind a tiered paywall (it used to be free until they killed access unannounced recently).
So, now, they are re-introducing access but at a cost so astronomical that nobody will use it.
Before there was an official Twitter app, you had Tweetbot that was built independently on top of the API and it didn't cost a thing for the user nor developer.
