It's incredible that he is so consistent. At this point I'm of the belief that he has Twitter bot that makes posts on alts then deletes the post 5mins later.
By Frustrated_me Go To PostTwitter brought in $5b in revenue last year? Damn, ok, didn't know. When you consider the reach - it makes sense.
Everyone is on it if they like it or not.
Every business, local or international,
Every School, Hospital and Police.
By JesalR Go To PostEven then, they have the worst revenue per user of any of the major social networks$5b a year in revenue places you right along with a lot of whodafuck companies
4th most visited (if these since 90's to now are roughly right). If you could properly monetise those monthly visits
Tesla stock already down to 112$, lost more than 10$ today. 2 weeks ago there were a lot of "experts" on Twitter saying it would bottom at 140$.

Then again, the market is moving back to fundamentals, so we'll see how deep this cuts TSLA.
Elon really fucked up listening to David Sachs and J.Cal, being advised to purchase Twitter at ATH, what were they thinking? Twitter board and investors made out like bandits in this purchase.
What aspects of Brave New World - ones shared with 1984 and Fahrenheit 451 - are currently in evidence?

You're required to come into the office, but we won't help with commuter benefits nor support those with childcare needs. Hardcore.
Those people probably idolize him and want to be just like him. They think it’s only a matter of time until they’re in his position so they’ll put up with it for now.
By Lunatic Go To PostMoneyHe's gonna start cutting salaries next. Already going for the benefits. Twitter is much lower on the payscale overall compared to other software giants, so it doesn't really add up.
By Xpike Go To Postlol why is anyone still working at twitterthey are on work visas and have to leave if they don't get a job elsewhere and lots of tech companies have hiring freezes.
To be fair, from what I’ve heard Twitter had garbage security prior to Elon. Basically no permissions stack at all, only prod pushes for code changes. ( No Dev/test environment) With what’s going on there, figure it’s only a matter of time before someone that worked for them really breaks stuff.
Also to be fair, the site hasn't really crashed as was largely expected. And I like the idea of feature drops every 3-6 months, at least something is on the horizon - whatever that is. The old regime twitter felt like 2015, it never really changed much. We'll see how the new regime changes things. One thing is clear though, twitter was employee fat, what were all those people doing?
I'm beginning to think he's going to turn this around. I'm not sure if he'll make his money back though I have a feeling he will 2x at some point. If what I'm reading plays out, Elon wants to turn Twitter into a Super App, like WeChat, that includes and starts with a payment stack, he's got experience with that.
Still a fucking dickhead though.

Nobody wants the features he's selling. The reason advertising works is because the mass populace doesn't want to be paywalled for social media.
Twitter worked because of how simple it was, it delivered on the concept and it is a timeless concept. As was said before, moderation is most of the work.
New features every couple of months sounds dumb.
New features every couple of months sounds dumb.
How is new features dumb? You mean to just keep twitter as is and that's what makes it good? A static feature set where it doesn't evolve over time?
I guess I can see the want in that, where people are used to a site being the way it is since it works as is. Kinda like this forum.
But the reality is it'll change, weather people like it or not. it'll incorporate features like YouTube shorts I bet, kinda like Tiktok. It'll leverage the existing group chat feature, that seems like a win. I'm not sure what else he'll come up with, but I think the site will change drastically over the next few years.

Why would anyone want to use Twitter for Venmo-like + crypto features? Those are the things he's promising.
Look at Instagram! In its bid to be all of its competitors its gotten drastically worse because of too many features. It was a better product when it focused on its core featureset (sharing pictures and videos) and that core has gone to shit.
