By OMNIST Go To PostWhat cause? As soon as the deal went through he fired themlmao none he wants them to fight for a settlement so the payout is less but shit California law might make him pay a penalty. Remember this is a guy that doesn't play chess.
What kind of cause could you have after 10 minutes

Sure but the people he fired are also minted and will win in court.
But if I were them I wouldn't just sue, I would be as public about the details as possible because the PR damage is much more damaging for him, and more likely to bring a good settlement. We know this because this is exactly what Twitter just successfully did to him lol

If anything they anticipated this and are on some "we got him boys" shit right now
By Laboured Go To PostSure but the people he fired are also minted and will win in court. That's not the point though he just wants to be difficult. The money doesn't really matter.

By reilo Go To PostIt should matter Twitter doesn't make money lolWell we know Elon. He just does what he wants.
I think the point, really, is the to gut the company's staff and just make the service a breeding ground for hate speech and all the conspiracies that benefit his Republican buddies. When he tweets things like "Comedy is now legal on Twitter," it's not even veiled language for the service won't be moderating slurs.
As far as the money goes, he's not even really in for all that much on this deal. There's so much debt financing, Saudi money, etc., that when the service goes tits up, it'll be a lot of others on the hook.

I think Twitter is a vanity purchase. Doesn’t care about money too much. I don’t think he cares much about twitter outside of it potentially shaking his image too. He wants to be seen as warrior for free speech, on top of space pioneer on top off being a catalyst to the electric car. Legacy shit
Ironically, it might be buying twitter that dents that legacy.
A fool and his money are soon departed.

Don’t even mind it honestly. Verified should only be for like celebrities and politicians

Employees working on the project were told on Sunday that they need to meet a deadline of November 7th to launch the feature or they will be fired.
Giant asshole lmao
Where does twitter's money go in layman's terms? I don't think of it being a Facebook or Google with dozens of side projects siphoning funds, or having thousands of employees, or acres of real estate.
Managers have been told that the purpose of the reviews is for Musk to see who can work at the speed and efficiency he demands, and that he wants to weed out engineering managers who do not regularly write code. “Managers in software must write great software or it’s like being a cavalry captain who can’t ride a horse!” he tweeted in May.Yep, total idiot. Managers should absolutely not write code.
I can't truly express how dumb it is for managers to write code. Not just from a logistical perspective (not enough time in the day to write quality code without distraction) but what typically happens is that managers that do want to write code end up thinking of features they deem cool and start writing it with other managers in silo and then begin ignoring actually being leaders to their direct reports.
Plus, there's levels for engineers to be deemed equals to managers: they're called staff and principal engineers.

I'm pretty sure the idea would be to get regular users who are not verified to be able to pay to become verified.
By RATHasReturned Go To PostMotherfucker is gonna burn Twitter to the ground. I'm glued to this.Twitter is garbage and it would be doing the world a solid.
Way it was bought it's just over leveraged garbage that's gonna get the same treatment as Toys R Us. All these unpopular moves will help tank it even sooner.

It's gonna be great.
We definitely need something better. People will argue we need nothing at all but Twitter was a good idea for centralized on the spot news blotters/local ones, feeds from your favorite artists/teams/studios/directors etc etc, but it's just got so much other shit in the way of that.
Plenty of shit will try lol. Far as something actually being successful long term and a good app, yeah I don't have a f'in clue.
Jack Dorsey already announced Blue Sky is ready to roll which is built on the Web 3.0 decentralized shit of the same name that Twitter was pushing back in 2020 -- and ironically was a project engineered by Parag Agrawal when he was CTO for Twitter. It's been independent of Twitter since February and they're in private beta now.
