Hate your job?
Strongly dislike one of your coworkers?
Work wife/husband giving you drama?
Hate your profession?
Side hustle pissing you off?
Coworker coming on to you with unwarranted advances?
Work environment sucks?
Organization refuses to let you be great?
^^ If any of these and/or something else are bothering you...
Get it off your chest in this thread.

no lie, there was a discussion to make this thread or something similar a while back but the reason we didn't was because we couldn't nail down some ground rules to protect people from themselves (and then we forgot about it because playoffs)
so i'll just say don't fucking incriminate yourselves, anyone else, your company (unless you're really about that life), and generally don't be a dick. room for venting as well as constructive criticism is cool
try to mix a little positive energy in here too if you can help it. everyone needs it
good stuff furyous

my job is chill for the most part. I'm not supposed to be here but they seem to be trying to make some space to hire me permanently in a different position. so who knows
besides, eldritch anybody work freelance?

every time i heard a "well, actually" from the new guy at a weekly meeting i've wanted to pour hot coffee into my eyes
Freelancing can be cool, but also sucks sometimes. If you want to be about that life, learn how to write a contract and say no. Chasing after money sucks, but chasing after money when you're in dire straits will have you feeling like:
"Money is the root of all evil I thought / but when I'm broke is when I usually have the evilest thoughts"
If you're an illustrator or have skill with a pencil, draw anime tiddies for patreon money.
If you're in video or photo, do weddings.

I tried freelancing after I quit my first job. But I wasn't ready, and that was several-fold:
1) My skillset wasn't quite there yet
2) I didn't have the mental capacity to chase after clients
3) I was going through a really rough time
4) I quit my job without making sure my finances were in order and that I could fuck around for a full year
If I were to do it all over again, #4 would be critical.

I can't get into specifics but someone I know, an acquaintance I met at a business, regaled me with a quite a story:
She/He is at a job and catches two coworkers having consensual physical activity.
What does she do?
She told HR and may/not have evidence on file, in an alternate universe. He/She only did this after those coworkers kept giving her/him trouble.
Two coworkers lost their jobs.
This job sucked because what type of place has two coworkers engaging in consensual physical activity during work hours. People out here on tight deadlines, getting reports done, doing all types of official high xxx,xxx per year work and these people had no respect for the anyone.
None of this stuff is about me because i am pillar of the community bastion of moral righteousness and have a career I love..

- my distraction at work has not been much of a distraction lately after my near-death experience. she's been weird around me since then.
- speaking of the wreck i feel like i shouldve went through w/ my idea to quit as i sat in the hospital bed.

This client wants me to add a whole new import process data that is not included in the scope of work. Motherfucker, you gotta pay me to do that.
"Hey DY, we're trying to find paperwork on a guy from X country."
"No, Tom - he was from Y country and he was here on a visa"
"Acccccchuaaly, jill, we spoke to him at his home in Cali. It's cool, DY, that doesn't require any follow up right?"
"Just to be on the safe side DY - can you bang out 3 separate portfolios for each of these scenarios? I'll send you the template after lunch"
Just take me outside and beat me. I promise morale would improve.

somehow 2 of the 3 guys on my team have managed to annoy all the women we work with and they want me to address it w/ the guys.
only problem is i do all the shit they complain about (i pointed this out to them) and they love me.
im personally not fond of either of the guys as well but i just think they're lame as hell. i actually tried to pawn them off on another team leader so i wouldnt have to deal with them.
also a former employee posted a scathing review of our company on Indeed. senior management got the business in it and they are pissed. but i didnt see a lie when i read it though. i also know for a fact who it was that wrote it too and she def has some legit gripes.

What kind of industry are you in?
"I didn't know we have colored people working here"
I guess it's the perfect time for me to bring that multiple choice back (c) John John
Do you:
A: Show him the blicky with the stiffy and ask him to make a wish
B: Pray to the lord for answers
C: point the camera and start live-streaming in the office
D: Shed a tear, run into HR's office, breakdown and try to get him fired ASAP
My female friend that encountered this situation used option C and got this person fired. Office got mad at her afterwards but that's life.

By giririsss Go To PostI assume other stuff happened after that opening line that got him fired. This sentence is really different with and without a question mark.
looking at the resumes of other people from my old place is killing me
people LIE i should be an honest scumbag i swear

im often blown away at how different depts can have different levels of accountability.
our marketing team can drop the ball and miss deadlines day after day but it's all gucci. production messes up an order or misses a deadline and it's all gucci.
god forbid sales doesnt hit a goal though. then it's WW3. we also have to wear the other departments fuckups even when they don't involve us. those fuckups usually end up being why we'd miss a goal anyway.
