So it's agreed, Torreira for the Balon D'Or
By Laboured Go To PostSo it's agreed, Torreira for the Balon D'OrWell he is the Blanco Kanté so it's definitely a possibility.
By Lego Go To PostNeymar is pretty much two footedThink he means cazorla, pedro or loskov types that can use either foot for anything. Not just being really good with the weak foot but not having a weak foot in the first place
Perisic is great with both feet but he is very much left footed for example.
By Laboured Go To PostIs this not a reasonable opinion to have?
Seems fair enough to be, obviously “win everything” being an oversimplification.

By Flutter Go To Posthttps://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2018/07/27/pep-guardiola-says-man-citys-world-cup-players-cut-short-holidays/I can't think of a single City player that had a good world cup - not sure how it would influence their team.
Looking forward to see how this affects the fitness. Honestly have no idea the difference between having players cutting their break short and those that rest the full 3 weeks.
KdB and Kompany came out of it ok...
With the USA's aptitude for sporting institutions and education, scholarships etc, they'd undoubtedly be a footballing powerhouse if the sport was ingrained in their culture, that could take decades but I can see it happening
Anyone who thinks they'd be producing Mbappes on tap is an absolute weapon though. There are billions being spent on millions of prospects in hundreds of countries across the globe, and even then Mbappe stands head and shoulders above them all as a generational talent.

There's plenty of remarkably talented basketball/football players in the US. Still a lot of them spent years honing their skills before making it big time.

Saying that there's a thousand Mbappes in the US is laughable, and downright xenophobic. Making it like no other country has as much talented people as the good old US of A.
Why is Mbappe being treated as the second coming of christ? Or in Buds case the third coming of christ?
By Eternity Go To PostWhy is Mbappe being treated as the second coming of christ? Or in Buds case the third coming of christ?Because he is.
By Eternity Go To PostWhy is Mbappe being treated as the second coming of christ? Or in Buds case the third coming of christ? No one is? I don't think he will be as good as Messi, but he's the closest out of all the prospects to reach a world class potential.

the most ambidextrous player of my generation

Definitely buying those new classic-colourway Preds.

By Laboured Go To PostYeah there are loads that have really good weaker feet (Ronaldo, Messi, Eriksen, Lallana, Neymar, O. Dembele, Kroos and so on) but there are some that take the piss and I find those players very interesting. I've been watching videos of Fred and I can only just tell that he's left footed (e.g. scores FKs with his right sometimes). As I said earlier, Cazorla is a wonder to watch due to this.Airways used to be impressed with Luis Garcia taking corners with both feet. Not at the same time, mind.

Is it Bild that’s reliable? Or is it the other one?
Is it Sportsbild that's not reliable but Bild is fine.
Reckon Woodward would want him to appease our American overlords, but I don't think Mou has it in him for another young attacking player.

TAA is a bit weird
Crossing is the only videogamey attribute he has that sticks out as being particularly great, but he does everything at a very solid level and with a composure that belies his age. He has a very good sense for when the right time is for him to attack as well ala Robertson, Moreno by contrast has a habit of bombing well past the ball before we've got solid enough possession for him to be sue that he won't be caught helplessly upfield. Think he gets blamed a bit too often when someone else loses the ball stupidly while he's gone forward, but he is too eager to do it. Hopefully we can drill that sense for a player running in behind him into TAA in a way which we haven't yet been able to do with Gomez's clear weakness of standing still while the ball comes into our box

On Pulisic I really don’t want him yet. I would rather sign him for slightly less but keep him at Dortmund for the rest of the season to continue developing. And even then, if he was to arrive next summer, you would just have the likes of AS and Marca using it as a reason for why Liverpool would sell Salah.
Kind of wish the boy just got his head down and cracked on. People will come for him sooner rather than later, but right now I don’t know how much game time he’d get for us.
If I’m Chelsea though I’d sell 30 year old Willian now and do a straight swap with the money.

i'm right-footed, but i've always that left-footed players on average are more technically gifted than the average right-footed player.
they have this certain elegance about them that most right-footed players don't have.

By Arnie Go To PostAre Real not buying Hazard because they’re saving up for Neymar next season?Probably because he's not worth Neymar money.
Don't like the aesthetics of the modern day Premier League Years. Where's the strobe lights, the 'Out of Control' audio motif, Georgie Thompson?

Doesn't mean they wouldn't sell him, but the whole stuff from Bild is speculation. Including the numbers, the supposed contract talks and everything else.

Yeah, I figured that might be the case.
FWIW, I really don’t see him moving in this window, especially to a Premier League club.
