By Arnie Go To PostJust an extremely weird opinion that I’m seeing everywhere.
Our net spend since 2016 is less than half that of United’s. So in squad value terms we’re pumping far less in versus the value leaving. Last year we lost our best player (at the time); the likes of United and City haven’t had to deal with losing their key players against their will.
I think the idea that we are under pressure comes from a will to undermine what on paper appears to be a really strong and thought-through recruitment plan. We identify players that fit and we ruthlessly recruit them.
United are trying to spunk over £100m on players who did well at the World Cup.
True, but seeing as how time and time again they've improved the squad, there's a certain point even the players will say why bother trying if they keep being met with failure at this club.
I'm not saying they should win the CL but FA Cup, Shield maybe The PL Title, something like that.
And yes I agree, anything below top3 should be considered a failure.

At the very least we need to do better there. It’s tough to say anything about the league when City got 100 points. If they repeat that we can all kiss goodbye to any hope whatsoever. And CL lets just try and do what we did again (in a very Juve style).

We shouldn’t be aiming below third this year. I think Chelsea and Arsenal are under serious reconstruction.
By Zabojnik Go To PostIt's so refreshing seeing all the Liverpool lads so bold.My penis is still not erect, Zabo
Has Spurs found a Dembele replacement yet? Because that's one thing they are lacking in.
Dembele has looked worse and worse in a matter of months.
Edit: McTominay is the closest to a Dembele substitute. Honest.
Please take him.

"Monaco vice-president Vadim Vasilyev told Russia publication Sport Express that he felt the French club offered a better opportunity for Golovin.
Monaco and CSKA this afternoon finally agreed on the transfer of Golovin.
"They really were complicated. Honestly, until the last moment I was not sure that I would be able to coordinate this transfer.
"Our main competitor was Chelsea. I believe Monaco offered more favourable conditions for the club and a more understandable project for Golovin."
Also can't believe some of you are doing a Mou and trying to wee on Liverpool's excitement.
They should be excited, top signings and they're going to play great football. Yeah they might not win anything but it's gonna be a much more fulfilling season than most of the rest of us are going to have.
They probably will win something anyway, they've been getting to finals and they've just added some genuine quality to the team. Better chance than before, for sure.

By Flutter Go To PostWell okWho cares what the Monaco chairman says? That doesn’t contradict anything I said. The fact is after the Jorginho surprise we have no need for Golovin. I’d have liked him but we have plenty of CMs on the team.

He's not the new Carrick, he's the new Cazorla.

Why do Spurs want another winger/forward anyway?
They play 3 behind Kane and have Eriksen, Son, Dele, Lamela, Moura and now Grealish. 6 players for 3 positions. Seems fine?

The Jorginho gazump had more gazump in it than the Golovin gazump so their #net #gazump is still in the black.
By Vivalapizza Go To PostThe Jorginho gazump had more gazump in it than the Golovin gazump so their #net #gazump is still in the black. This equation ignores the Alisson gazump and -looking further back - the Oxlaide gazump. Long gone are the days of Willian jumping off the Tottenham medical table, yanking off his heart rate nodes and hailing a black cab for Cobham.
