Open to pay a 100 million for a young player, but dont want to go about 50m for 29++ year olds.

Seems like our scouting is a shambles.
If the club knew Mou wanted an RW and didn't want to spend huge amounts on relatively experienced wingers (RW?) in Perisic/Willian what happened to the alternatives? I know we all thought Sanchez was the one but he displaced our current LW soon as he came in.
Maybe Woodward has a huge boner for Bale, but he's just been telling us to fuck off for years.
Must be one of the reasons Ribalta said fuck it.
Some kind of structure such as a DOF is needed, at least to streamline it all.

Still think if this was a year ago the club would be saying yes to these targets and getting them done. I think there's an attitude shift towards him at board level.
I understand what you're saying but they did reject Perisic last year too so I'm not sure that's the case.
Mou is a top manager, really is a shame that the board isn't backing him financially.
He is doing the best he can with what he is given.

Paying 60m+ for Perisic and Willian is stupid
Woody isn't a football person but even he knows that
I'm glad he's standing up to Mourinho
It's just a shame he isn't doing anything else

If the board aren't going to back him and I understand why, lest we end up with squad full of 30 year olds and we're back to replacing 7-8 in one fell swoop.
At least I hope the top brass are prepping for the neggy one's replacement. We aren't very good at this succession planning thing.
If we can do it while avoiding Mended and Raiola and those slime fucks, all the better.

By FortuneFaded Go To PostIs Morata officially dead now? When you think about it, was he ever alive to begin with?
Remember that match where Motata ballsed up three one-on-ones against Arsenal
Was that the start of his poor form?

The man has always been short termism incarnate and isn’t changing.
Wonder where he plans to go though if he has no intention of staying at Man Utd for the foreseeable future. The reason everyone assumed it'd be different this time is because he is unemployable by basically every other top European team at this point.

Portugal NT seems like the obvious step to me.
Yeah. Players at their disposal and the way they play now would fit right in with his brand of clank as well.

I get the vibe from PSG that they want to win playing good football, those were the rumblings when people were talking about how long Mourinho would last at Man Utd when he arrived there at least.
And if Mourinho fails this season, PSG won't want him. He doesn't offer guaranteed success anymore. That's what I feel anyway, before reminding myself that he's won two trophies at Man Utd, got to another cup final, and finished comfortably second in the league.

he was a sk8er boi, she said, "see ya later boi."
he wasn't good enough for her.
she had a pretty face but her head was up in space.
she needed to come back down to earth.

Jose cannot coach PSG.
our board needs to get the thumb out. i'm beginning to think they don't want to win that bad. just be comfortably top 4.

By domino Go To PostJose cannot coach PSG.They work with him every day, they've seen his attitude, demeanor, his abrasive style, dull football, the fact that he will cost us players through isolation and realised he is not a long term solution, hence their hesitance to back him in the market especially his penchant for old tall blokes that other clubs want to charge us 100 million for.

if its that bad (i highly doubt it) then fire him. we can afford his buyout easily
if not then get behind him and get him what he says he needs. otherwise why bother.
They have to the tune of hundreds of millions, but can't justify dropping 90+ million on 29-30 year old players who will provide no long term value and have zero resale value
Is this the last year of Mou's contract? How bad will things have to get before they sack him mid season?

he'll survive the season, but will be let go after the summer because they failed yet again to win the champions league.
doubt they'll let him go before the season ends unless he completely fucks up (out in the group stages or something).

Ah so it finally happened. Will be interesting to see if he can make it there. So far he hasn't been really tested.
