Using a little research and some basic logic, you can take a moment to think about every player, situation, opportunity from every angle and make a call on what's most likely to happen. Why could this guy succeed or why did he fail last season? Was it a fluke? Is it easily repeatable? What stands in the way of his success and what could propel him to sweet fantasy greatness? Once you figure that out, it's fairly easy to determine what is most likely to happen. It won't always work out, of course, but like everything else in life, if you play the odds, it will work out more often than not.

That's it. Perfect world scenario, that's what every move should be based in IMHO.

I've been looking into improving rewards on defense and data to support those changes. Been reading up on things and hopefully after I ask around I may make some changes to D/St scoring based on range of outcomes.

Errr I think that's set in stone. I can go to the Tools. The only sure way I know of to know the draft order in advance is if I set the order.

Really annoyed with the lack of contact with the guys who haven't paid. It's fine if you haven't paid yet if you shoot me an e-mail/text saying "hey it's going to me a little late" or something. Dead silence doesn't make me feel very confident about their return, nvm the fact that I'm seeing a lot of "burner" e-mails. All i know is the next three days it will start to get crazy but not in a good way for me, if you people know other people on different communities who might be interested send them way. We have AT LEAST four spots open and as many as seven if some guys don't pay.

Been so wrapped up with this and work I've only mocked once, WTF? Never seen a season like this in 11 years of playing Fantasy Football.

Thank for the work you guys are doing on ResetEra, saw a mention or two there. I didn't know there were so many leagues open there, can someone post in this thread? Whenever they make a league they use the waitlist to make another and so on. Should be able to get a few guys from there:

Ok were are at 11 so far in the league. I am contacting the guys who were in the league before (again) and on the other forums I have now 6 guys I e-mailed who were "interested" in joining from the last two days. I sent them invites and they haven't responded so it's weird because we could fill up quickly or they may never respond again. Or they're scammers who want to get my Social Security number (again).

The League really needs 14 to function without me making changes. If we don't reach that by draft time I might add autodraft teams to reach that number, then keep recruiting through the week to fill those teams. Any thoughts?

that's not going to happen, but I will outline the rules if it's Week 1 and it's not filled yet.

They can’t make waiver claims or add players.
Commissioners can still edit the roster for these teams.
Trade offers can be made, but with no owner, there will no one to accept the trades.
Playing against an manager-less team won’t have an impact on your League Rating or Level.

If that is the case, I have to at least set the lineup based on highest AP. Can't make any moves unless there is a dead spot for the position.

I am running a league with a bunch of my family (10th or so year) and we lost a few players. We got 10 right now and are looking for 2 more if any of yall are interested. $65 buy in (pay through yahoo app) and draft is this Sunday at 7pm PST or 10PM EST

If it makes you feel any better, Chris Carson and Mahomes pretty much put the kids to bed on that one. Assuming Foles was your only change I'm still up 35 points vs. DaeSean Hamilton and Jared Cook.

Yeah, I had a couple of other decisions I entertained but the QB one was the only one I could have realistically made. Can't beat myself up too much for it considering how badly my team got smoked. Countering that Mahomes/Carson counter was always going to be difficult.
