I'll be optimistic about Death Stranding if I know there's someone in his team that can say no to some of his ideas.
I agree with that he does need someone to keep him a bit grounded, but to be honest those who enjoy his games like the more far stretched ideas. He is original, which is great or bad depending on what you think. I love it and hope that it is a wacky ride.

The game does have action, but so did the original RE2, the emphasis this time is MUCH stronger on the horror aspect though, and I know from what I know mechanically and from what I've seen I think this has a chance to maybe be the scariest RE game that's existed.

Damn...this E3 suuuuuuucks. Usually a sign that new hardware is in the works and development has been applied elsewhere basically.
It was the same story with the PS2 announcement, PS3 announcement, and PS4 announcement. All of the E3s leading up to major console announcements were simply dud fests. I remember E3 in 2005 was so, soooo bad that a few of us attendees joked that the game of the show was the new Xbox 360 controller.

Ghost of Tsushima HOLY FUCK YES. That looked freaking amazing, my #1 most wanted game.
REmake 2 went from “why would I play that thing again?” to “damn, that looks great.”

I thought the Death Stranding trailer was great. "But what do you do, lol?" Who cares at this point. Everybody was gaga over MGS5's gameplay (the rest was shit, you know it, I know it), I'm sure he'll come up with something decent. I'm far more interested in the world, characters and Kojima being Kojima. Personally, I'm really feeling the vibe of DS. It's weird as fuck, but not in the lol-what-is-this-Japanese-weaboo-nonsense sense. After MGS5, which modernized MGS' gameplay, it seems to me that Kojima is now trying to do something similar with the rest of it, tone it down a tiny bit. But what about the babies & shit. I hear ya, but still. It doesn't feel that far removed from something like The Evil Within (2) in terms of strangeness.
