The campaign is trash tier. :pI mean, I've played through the campaign a couple of times, gotten all the skulls and intel, and the playing part is fine since it's Halo 5 and the game feels great. Some of the level designs are okay, like Glassed, Sanghelios, Enemy Lines, as in mostly the ones that are more open and ape old Halo design philosophies.
Multi is in the short running for best fps this gen.
Aside from the Warden fights, my biggest gripes are with how inconsequential it feels. Master Chief is absent for 80 per cent of the campaign and the story doesn't have momentum without him on screen. Osiris is bland, Locke especially, and they basically exist as filler until you get to the next Chief mission.
The ending they set up with Chief and Arbiter taking on Cortana should make for a great campaign in Infinite, at least.
If I had it my way I'd reboot the entire thing. Covenant becoming allies should have never been a thing.
Cyberpunk seems to be also drawing artistically from things like Dread and the 5th element and that's a good thing. You can't expect an open world game with a day night cycle to look like a grimdark bladerunner 24/7.

With the way they talk about the game being open, about a bold new direction, with it being set some time after H5, I view Infinite as a soft reboot. Maybe a backtracking is a better way to put it. 343 had to seriously rethink their direction after 5 since it got pretty good reception, but was once again abandoned by the mass audience after a short period of time like 4 was. Going back to the drawing board to get people, especially long time fans, excited again means they had to go back to Bungie-era Halo. They did that for the art and made it a point to show fans, hey, here's Chief and his armor looks like CE again. To go all the way means classic gameplay with no enhanced mobility and the removal of ADS, and that's what I really hope they accomplish with this.
