I mean that is the whole point of a medical.... Of course they have looked at his injury history, but that does not mean a medical won't possibly reveal something much more serious. Clubs don't do this for fun.

Could be any number of issues picked up, degeneration of the tissue around his knee, debris from the various surgeries, weight distribution not being right.
