What else is he supposed to say? That he wouldn’t take the biggest job in football? That he will stay at Spurs no matter what?
He’s being diplomatic and giving the same “anything can happen in football” answers that he always does when asked these questions. I don’t believe he will force his way out of the club, he says himself that he will not do that. If Levy and Perez can agree a deal then of course he will go. I just don’t see that happening at such an important moment for the club. This is not the time to change manager.

By LFMartins86 Go To PostRui Patrício has terminated his contract with Sporting.well that went quickly.
By Wahabipapangus Go To Postwell that went quickly. Now it's down to the courts to decide if he had a legal reason to do it. If they decide that he had, then all is done. If the courts decide he doesn't have a valid reason, then he will have to pay the club a fee that could reach his release clause.
Apparently Jorge Mendes has been negotiating in Patricio's name came up with a new deal from Wolverhampton worth 18M€ in which, according with Sporting's president, Mendes wanted 7M€ from the deal for himself.
The club rejected the deal and Patricio's lawyers moved ahead with the unilateral termination of the contract.
This will take a long time before a final decision is reached, it could take a year or more, FIFA will probably hand him a temporary license to sign for another club.
I wouldn't be reassured at all by what Poch has said
He had a chance to shut it down - instead he's left the door open.
Madrid will get it done if they want him bad enough.

about that...
November 2014
Birmingham, England. The Pochettino experiment almost lasted less time than even the Sherwood one. The squad that greeted the Argentine when he arrived at Tottenham was far removed from the young, hungry one he'd taken on at Southampton.
There were cliques and former stars looking out for themselves in the dressing room rather than holding the collective as the single most important thing - Pochettino's mantra.
He'd tried to win their favour by allowing the squad to pick their own captain and vice-captains after the departure of Michael Dawson to Hull. He ended up with Younes Kaboul getting the armband with Emmanuel Adebayor and Lloris the vice-captains.
Some of the older players were not taking to the ways of the new regime, particularly Pochettino's tough physical demands. A few completely flat out rejected his ideas and showed him disrespect.
Things came to a head on the night of November 2, with Spurs sitting just three points above the relegation zone and 1-0 down at Aston Villa with six minutes of normal time remaining.
Pochettino turned to his staff in the dugout and said: "Lads pack your bags tonight, tomorrow we’re going home." He expected the sack, but a couple of the players who had bought into his methods saved him.
Nacer Chadli scored an equaliser on 86 minutes and then young striker Harry Kane scored a last-gasp dramatic free-kick to turn the game and Spurs' season on its head.
It proved to be something of a watershed moment for the Pochettino era, drawing comparisons with the Mark Robins strike which is believed to have saved Sir Alex Ferguson's Manchester United career back in 1990.
From that point on Pochettino decided it was his way or the high way and in his own words 'the revolution had begun'. Tottenham had achieved nothing in recent seasons with their old ways and it was time to sweep the club clean.

Finally a politician that really says what he thinks.
Finally a politician that really says what he thinks.
In a phone call, Larson confirmed that he created the now-defunct websites suiped.org and incelocalypse.today ― chat rooms that served as gathering places for pedophiles and violence-minded misogynists like himself. HuffPost contacted Larson after confirming that his campaign website shared an IP address with these forums, among others. His sites were terminated by their domain host on Tuesday.
On the phone, he was open about his pedophilia and seemingly unfazed about his long odds of attaining government office.
“A lot of people are tired of political correctness and being constrained by it,” he said. “People prefer when there’s an outsider who doesn’t have anything to lose and is willing to say what’s on a lot of people’s minds.”
When asked whether he’s a pedophile or just writes about pedophilia, he said, “It’s a mix of both. When people go over the top there’s a grain of truth to what they say.”
Asked whether there was a “grain of truth” in his essay about father-daughter incest and another about raping his ex-wife repeatedly, he said yes, offering that plenty of women have rape fantasies.
In the manifesto, Larson called Nazi leader Adolf Hitler a “white supremacist hero.” He urged Congress to repeal the Violence Against Women Act, adding, “We need to switch to a system that classifies women as property, initially of their fathers and later of their husbands.”
“Why doesn’t every pedo just focus on making money so they can get a pedo-wife and then either impregnate her with some fucktoys or adopt some fucktoys?” he wrote on the platform in October. “That would accommodate both those who are and aren’t into incest. And of course, the adoption process lets you pick a boy or a girl.”
In a 3,300-word essay on incelocalypse.today, titled “Here’s How to Psyche Yourself Up to Feel Entitled to Rape,” Larson tells other members: “Don’t forget: feminism is the problem, and rape is the solution.” On the platform, he also advocated for father-daughter marriage, killing women and raping virgins.
Until it was pulled down, Larson’s site Nathania.org, a wiki page with details about his latest candidacy, featured posts titled “A Man Should Be Allowed to Choke His Wife to Death as Punishment for Cutting Her Hair Short Without Permission, or Other Acts of Gross Insubordination,” “Advantages of Father-Daughter Incest” and “The Justifiability of an Incel’s Kidnapping a Girl and Keeping Her as His Rape-Slave for Sex and Babymaking.”

I don’t think his comments are positive or negative, just honest. He’s committed to this project and will not force anything, I believe he is sincere when he says that. I also believe that if Levy consents then he will join Madrid.
Loyalty is everything to him, and if Levy says we can’t afford to lose him this summer then I think he will probably respect that. It’s not in his nature to do anything else, but of course interest from Madrid brings out the worst in people. In any case it needs to be sorted out very quickly, neither team can afford to wait.
Ndong to Torino for £7m. Over half of what we paid for him (his loan fee to Watford in January was rumoured to be about £3m as well xd). I still reckon he can be a very decent player but the money we get for Kone/Ndong/Khazri should really allow us to keep the likes of McNair and Asoro. Next few weeks should be interesting!

Loyalty, clearly, was not everything to him back then? (nor should it have been).
I don’t think Poch goes to Real Madrid. There’s no reason to believe that his methods will stop working at Spurs, and there will certainly be another vacancy at Real Madrid in the next 2-3 years. Provided things don’t go badly with Levy and co, I think he’ll stay here for the time being.
There's very few footballers or managers that are loyal. Usually you'll only find out about how they turn down clubs only after they retire.

I don’t think Poch signed a mega-contract the week before he left Southampton. The chairman who brought him to England had also resigned a few months earlier.
I’m not saying it’s impossible that he leaves. I just think it will come down to Levy. If Levy puts his foot down then I think Poch will carry on. The Madrid job will always be available every 1-2 years.
The career of a manager is long, as opposed to the career of a player.

If so, what are top ten betrayals when some leaves a team?
When Poch left Southampton, it was for a chance to show what he can do at a bigger club. Who knows when the next chance would come to join a top 4 PL club? Now at Spurs he’s a known quantity across Europe. It isn’t going to be seen as a risk to hire him, so chances will always be there.
I also don’t there’s a snowball’s chance in hell that he’d fit well into he current Real team. He’d clash instantly with Cristiano, Ramos and other dressing room divas. They’d have to do a big clearout of their team, and those stars would use the media to make sure he comes off worse if he tried. They did that to Benítez, they’d do it to Poch.
He should wait for the Man Utd job, they’ve been recruiting a lot of Poch type players. He’d do well with Lukaku, Martial, Rashford etc.

Since few people switch nationalities (and those that do are often moving from more to less competitive organizations because they're not quite good enough), the major betrayals are skaters moving from one coach to another.
Medvedeva's switch from Eteri to Orser a few weeks ago was genuinely astonishing. Supposedly, Eteri didn't even know until she saw it in the news. I still haven't been able to fully get my mind around it, but it'll lead to some amazing narratives over the next four years.

Pochettino is the same way.
Poch is better regarded than Benitez was at that point. Not to mention he managed to get his team to beat them twice in the CL, there could be some respect between him and the players.
I bet not even this new chubby Pochettino would sit and eat sandwiches on the bench, in between telling Ronaldo how to shoot properly.
Perez sacked the highly popular Ancelotti to parachute in Benitez, which was always going to poison the well. Zidane has left of his own accord, so anyone who comes in now won't have that to deal with
Aye how the hell did he think it's a good idea to tell one of the best finishers in history on how to shoot properly.
