Kyrie left cause LeBron, love is playing like 5th fiddle cause of LeBron, JR AND Tristan are both on klutch sports with LeBron: and like giririsss said above he got them both huge contracts and its costing the cavs. It's his fault the cavs are this shitty. 100% his fault.
Btw how does the nba allow a player to run an Agency, make sure his players get signed to huge contracts on the same team he is on (leveraging the team with 1 year contracts and basically forcing them to resign these guys)?

Otherwise, you would have violations happen when a player "recruits" someone else before free agency starts and really any communication between players on different teams would be problematic.

I don't remember the reason players can no longer be coaches or front office staff, but I imagine it was for similar reasons.
Kyrie left cause LeBron, love is playing like 5th fiddle cause of LeBron,Love had a good season and a decent playoffs despite coming off a thumb injury and a concession. Even outplayed KD and Draymond.
You just started watching basketball in 2015 calm down.
By RobNBanks Go To PostKyrie gonna be leaving Boston soon anyway. That’s Tatums team now.why would he leave?
By DY_nasty Go To Postits because they never had a chance in the first place. lebron played arguably the best finals game in a losing effort ever and he's gonna have to play at that level for the rest of the series for them to *maybe* win a game againhow you are so sure they aren't taking them serious? They aren't perfect, they have to be up a lot to win, can't handle pressure for close games.
gs isn't even taking them serious either. they're just going through the motions
By domino Go To PostHell play. Probably get 25 tooTheir defense already let LeBron get to the basket every time he wanted. What the hell are they gonna do with Klay hobbling around out there?
Klay will post up in the corner or come off a down screen and does what he normally does...catch and shoot. You don't need that much ankle support for that.
By Doomsayer Go To PostThere's no doubt he has some blame in the terrible contracts the team handed out. It's hard to hold it all on him though because that offseason front offices around the league went insane with contracts since the salary cap bumped up. It was really the perfect storm of fuckery.
Most championship teams have a small window unless they get value out of vets contracts, paycuts, or dudes on rookie contracts.
I'm really just upset that GS has treated the playoffs this year like a pick up game at the gym.
That cap spiked came at the right time for GSW.
By Kuma Go To PostThat cap spiked came at the right time for GSW.add it to the list along with opponent injuries and ref calls.
the stars literally aligned in order for durant to join the warriors. like 5 major things had to happen for it to be possible
By s y Go To Postadd it to the list along with opponent injuries and ref calls.Yeah. Terrible when super stars abuse cap situations.
By giririsss Go To PostYeah. Terrible when super stars abuse cap situations. But this didn't happen? He didn't even sign for the maximum.
By diehard Go To PostBut this didn't happen? He didn't even sign for the maximum.Who? KD? He got close to it if he didn't.
The point being, Psy complaining about it is stupid, being a heat fan. Heat took advantage of a cap situation where 3 super stars colluded to come together too.
By diehard Go To PostBut this didn't happen? He didn't even sign for the maximum.giri doesn't watch basketball let alone understand the cap lmao
By giririsss Go To PostWho? KD? He got close to it if he didn't.ehhh no not really. The cap increase in '16-'17 has never been seen in the NBA before and was absolutely the reason they were able to sign KD. I mean, it's fine and all.. they did what they should have done. But they did have some luck that it went up that specific year... I don't know how far it is from "Miami won because they were lucky to have a warm climate" tbf.

Uhh, miami didn't sign those guys because of warm climate lol.
They signed them because they dumped literally every contract. They abused a cap timing, and cleared everything on the hope they could collude to get all 3. It worked. And they had 4? good years.
The cap spike will never happen again. They were extremely lucky. And it's the entire reason they got KD. That and Stephs ankles causing him to never have got a max before this one, freeing up a chunk of that space.
Bot exploited a cap situation. GSW's was lucky, Miami's was purely deliberate.
By s y Go To Postgiri doesn't watch basketball let alone understand the cap lmaostay a filthy uneducated cassual.
there was a lot more to it than 'dumping every contract' in miami. all those guys were from the same draft class and had lined up contract years for starters. they could've planned that out years in advance (probably did)
I can't even say GS 'abused' a cap situation either. all their players lined up in a really weird way or were on contract already wayyyyyyyyy under their value and they didn't even have to lose anything

By giririsss Go To PostUhh, miami didn't sign those guys because of warm climate lol. Those guys chose Miami to be super best friends at absolutely because of the climate/nightlife. There was no massive change in the cap for Miami to exploit, they just happened to have 3 of their 4 highest players contracts expire that year.. was there luck in that? I don't know, i think Riley planned for it.

KD wasn't even on the radar until he got 3-1'd out

So in other words...
They are lucky.
By diehard Go To PostBasically any team that wins a chip has some luck, it's just varying amounts.
Not like this.
The blame for the Warriors can be placed on the NBPA for not smoothing the cap increase like they should have. Instead they let it go up one year, created the Warriors and fucked over the free agents in 2017/2018 while Luol Deng and Mozgod made out like bandits

I don't know many Warriors fans who seriously think the front office is that much better, save for Bob Myers being a swindlegod

The NBAPA should be held accountable for that.
I can't blame them for going for the cash grab when the owners have been reluctant paying properly salaries for a while. But it was the wrong move.

No. Warriors were definitely looking to sign Durant well before the conference finals and Finals. There was a story in January of that year which responded to rumors of GS lining things up to go after Durant and how tough that might be.
It was similar to the current rumors of their front office planning to make a real bid on Anthony Davis.
