By Shanks D Zoro Go To PostAllegri was great at Milan for three seasons, wheels only came off in the fourth season when it was clear he was only there because Galliani begged Silvio. You and I clearly have different definitions of the word "great." Mine comes from the English language, but I'm unsure where you dug yours up.
Allegri had a pretty solid first season, a fine second season during which he couldn't fend off Conte's shockingly successful Juventus, a very uneven third season, and a truly atrocious and mercifully aborted final season.
The truth is that Allegri did best at Milan and does well now at Juve when surrounded by a squad of proven victors. When the veterans left Milan, he couldn't hold it together any more. And seeing as how he'd be surrounded by proven losers and failures at Arsenal, he'd disappoint right alongside them.
dont feel all that confident in allegri or enrique, but at least the board is being competent enough to get the replacement before WC.

Allegri would do best at a club that isn't a clogged urinal.

Allegri didn’t do poor because he didn’t have proven victors at Milan.
He had spent the whole time building a squad around the passing ability of Thiago Silva, then he had him and Ibra sold leaving him not much time to adjust. It took a while, but he then found the right balance with his young players and got them into third. That was a great achievement giving the players at his disposal. He also had Milan beat Barca and would have gone through if it wasn’t for Niang.
The fourth season was a mess because it was clear Silvio hated him and the players knew they could undermine his position.
It is also unfair when you look at the good work he did with Cagliari, even winning coach of the year. Allegri doean’t need winners to do a great job. He also got Sassuolo their first ever promotion into Serie B as champs.

Trust me, Allegri will do fine at Arsenal. He won’t win the league in his first season, but he will restore pride to our performances and prevent us from being humiliated against the big clubs.
I'm of two minds regarding Allegri's chances at a club like Arsenal. He's a good manager of players and a very good tactician, so that alone should see Arsenal improve under his tutelage. By how much, I'm not sure. Frankly, I think the squad needs to be shocked, slapped, shouted at and drilled into a bunch of hard m8s first and foremost, and that's just not Allegri's modus operandi. Conte or Simeone would be better choices.
He's not leaving Juve though, so whatever.

I hope he stays at Juve, but if he is gonna leave I want him at Arsenal.
I don’t really think we need a manager to come in and slap the players around.
They are a bunch of soft lads, but the main problem is the organisation of the team. No amount of screaming and shouting is gonna make this team compete with City, but good work on the training ground can get this current team second place because as I side earlier, the teams ahead are nothing special in terms of being a lock for top four.
In one breadth you dismiss all the teams better than Arsenal as nothing special. This is after Man City win the league playing sensational football and Liverpool reach the CL finals and still (probably) get top 4—something English teams struggle to do.
In the next, you claim Allegri at Arsenal would be a success and make top 4 easily. The house of cards at Arsenal is falling apart, Wenger leaving is going to make it worse, not better.

Not to mention there's some legit problems with Arsenal's team. Kos has a serious injury that at his age will set him back quite a bit, and you have Mustafi as your other main defender. Bellerin has been shit, but he's still young so who knows, someone could work with him before he becomes another failed prospect.
Wilshere hasn't signed a contract, and he could do a Fellaini and demand high wages. I think Arsenal will give in because it's much cheaper than getting a good playmaker at this point.
The next is Cech. I remember Arsenal before they got him. A few years of depending on mediocre goalkeeping.
50 million brexits to solve all these problems.

I have said several times that Man City are miles ahead. Everyone else not so much. Liverpool are good, but far too inconsistent.
I don’t see how Wenger leaving will make things worae. The team is in place to take a manager out of the running of the club, and hopefully anyone who comes in will be a better trainer and tactician than Wenger.

A new CB to partner Mustafi is the main transfer business we need to get done. Current goalkeepers are fine, not great, but not top priority. Bellerin ahould hopefully see improvements under a new manager, same with Iwobi. Amazing how little progress the two have shown since they broke in. That is on poor training.
This team doesn’t need a lot of work to be top four. Our home record is second best in the league, but away from home is where we need to improve. A good manager will sort the defensive issues out hopefully to see us get back in the top four. It wouldn’t be a surprise if we finished second next year.
It would be a surprise to me, because other teams will be reinforced too. Spurs had a horrible time adjusting to Wembley in the beginning, but will be back at White Hart Lane. Liverpool is bringing in Naby Keita and possibly new reinforcements for its attack. They may lose Salah, but even if they do they'd get crazy money to spend on a new attacker.
I think Arsenal needs a lot of work to be done.

Arsenals home/away record is a statistical anomaly. There is no reason to expect that they can just fix some away team problem and everything will be hunky dory; their points total is their points total and they'll need probably around 15 points to claim a top 4 spot next season.
In terms of underlying numbers, they aren't that far off from being top 4, a long way from City and Pool but near enough to Spurs and on a level with Chelsea and United. But this seasons numbers are all a bit moot if they end up with the lowest budget, especially given the age of a number of key players. They are probably the team most at risk of natural decline.

By Xpike Go To Postdoes allegri know how to buy a good defense thoHe just needs to coach them, Mislintat will be identifying them and Sanllehi will be buying them.
Also on Bellerin the best thing we could do for him is get another RB in to provide competition and give him a rest every now and then.
I'd actually sell Mustafi and promote the Greek lad, keep Chambers as he has impressed recently (just don't play him at RB, lol) and get a new RB too. A DM is a top priority too and a new GK.

If we win the title in one of these 4 years, the latter, if not, the former.
I'm not expecting anything near PL title next season. Priority should be top 4 and constant improvements on the squad and mentality so we can challenge in the 2nd/3rd year.
People thinking we can get worse need to realize how bad we were this season. We are 6th 34 points behind leaders and 11 of top 4, we have one of the worse away records in the league, 0 away points in 2018. Theres no chance we get worse, even with Rui Faria in charge.
By Pele.gif Go To PostImagine actually believing in this.I mean, I can see that, but not because of just the team.
Wenger has been close to untouchable until the last 2 years at the club. He handled almost everything including the construction of the stadium. He's leaving, and now we have to see if Arsenal management can take after him.
Handling the football team is one thing, but decision making is another. The fact that the future manager will only have 50 million to spend is quite something.

I dont believe on this 50m budget. Need the receipts.
Im well confident we wont finish +30 points behind leaders or +10 points behind top four next season, no matter which manager we will get.
Only one would get these results or worse. It's called Arsene Wenger.
