By Zabojnik Go To PostYou certainly have a type. You'll get Martial and love him and laugh at us for selling him.
The new Depay. I wouldn't mind having him in my team either.
By Laboured Go To PostGut says one of the obvious ones like Jardim or Low. Maaaaaybe Nagelsmann.
Have this strange feeling Enrique, Allegri and Ancelotti aren't going to go for it.
Don't think the board will try for a Vieira/Henry/Arteta thing this time round.
Just think Rodgers/Buvac/Simone aren't even in the picture realistically.
Should be going for Sarri tho.
Gracias
I'm fine with either Jardim/Low/Sarri. Don't know this Nagelsmann lad
Does Sarri speak english?
By NinjaFridge Go To PostYou'll get Martial and love him and laugh at us for selling him.I have to once again implore you to think of poor Marko Pjaca. We sent him to a foreign land, where people wear socks and sandals, and we promised we'd take him back this summer, give him a proper chance. Signing Antonio Marziale would pretty much mean killing him.
By Pele.gif Go To PostGraciashe speaks the language of football

look at mou, he speaks english and it hasn't done him any good
By Elchele Go To PostSo, who's signing AVB this time lads?Napolol will try and fail.
We'll probably end up with Giampaolo or someone about whom I'm equally ambivalent.
By Laboured Go To PostMet an Arsenal fan the other day that genuinely thought Eddie Howe should be given a chance. That's not a ridiculous suggestion though. There are some great managers available but a guy who brought Bournemouth from the brink of relegation to the conference, to comfortable mid table in the premier league is hardly a terrible choice

thats crap lol.
The only problem with Eddie Howe is we don't know how he would do managing a big club with more responsibilities.
I think he will do well though, if given a well managed club
Problem is, there's only a handful of well managed club in the world, and they dont have to take risks.

By Pele.gif Go To PostDoes Sarri speak english?I believe so. I've never heard him speak it, but I've read that he knows at least some from his banking days.
By inky Go To PostNapoli are open to a Benitez return apparently.flabber on suicide watch.
flinbad on figure skating watch.
Low has never managed at club level iirc, which makes me a bit wary of him, would have him otherwise.
Allegri/Sarri/Simeone would be my picks. Would take Bentiez too tbh and Ancelotti

By Freewheelin Go To PostLow has never managed at club level iircHe has, but it's been a decade and a half. He was supposed to have been good at Stuttgart, but I don't know that he achieved anything of note there or anywhere else besides the German NT.

It's not entirely 'ridiculous', but it's also clearly not a simple equation of taking a manager with x performance with a certain pedigree of players and determining that his performance will rise linearly with the quality of players at his disposal - AKA the Moyes equation.

By Zabojnik Go To PostMancini to head Italy's NT, lads. Back to the middle ages. They never left.No one could be better than Ventura.
I mean, literally, we could have no one in the position, and it would almost certainly be preferable to Ventura.
But is Mancini better than no one?
Can Buffon retire already and just manage the NT through grinta and fascism?
By Zabojnik Go To PostSarri is the way.It wouldn't surprise me. He won't get the pay he deserves or the support he needs from goddamned ADL.
Btw, do you think he's actually leaving Napule at the end of the season?
If a more ambitious club swoops for him, he should leave. I would.
With him breaking the Buvac news, I can't stop thinking about how Duncan Castles used to be a Japanese monkey expert.
Remember when people were touting Roberto Martinez as a Wenger replacement a few years back? Man, how times change lol.
That said, I don't know that Sarri's inherent problems will disappear if he goes elsewhere, so I don't know that he'll have the success he so seemingly deserves.
He needs more flexibility. He needs to become more tactical and less stiffly strategic. And, with these changes, he needs to rotate more.
If he'd learned those lessons earlier, Napoli may have had an actual chance to win the scudetto. As it was, everyone sensible knew where the season would go even before it began.

everton played better football than arsenal at the emirates in his first season there. and not just in that game.
thought he'd do well, but everything went to shit in the second season, iirc.
By Bablurn Go To PostFinal prediction:Which Bayern players are missing?
Real Madrid 0:4 Bayern
By Zabojnik Go To PostWhich Bayern players are missing? All the best ones.
By Perfect Blue Go To PostYou said he doesn't get support from ADL, do you think these problems would be resolved if he got the funds and players to back him up?Maybe?
ADL brought him a winger last summer, and he sat on the bench all season. ADL brought him a left back who sat on the bench even following season-ending injuries to our starting left back. ADL brought in a few new CBs over the past few years, all of whom get rarely rotated in. A young and impressive DM rots on the bench. etc. etc. etc. That's all on Sarri.
But has ADL really invested in the squad, or has he merely picked up some cheap purchases?
Obviously, some of our scouting is great. Koulibaly and Jorginho have metamorphosed into "world class" footballers. But maybe the players sitting on the bench aren't worth reaching the pitch. Diawara, I'd argue, is, but many of the others may just be useless.
I don't know for sure, but I do know that the squad is exhausted because they play every match, even against the lowest of opposition.

By flinbad the flailer Go To PostMaybe?Word is Abramovich wants him at Chelsea as well. Our squad isn’t exactly large so it seems like the same problems would happen there as well, oh well.

I'd personally love a R.Madrid 1-2 Bayern scoreline, going into pens & Ramos launching another one into stratosphere.
Not happening. Real 5-0 Bayern

I think Blind will do well in a smaller club that plays more defensively. He's slow but is intelligent enough to get into positions to defend the ball well.
