By Smokey Go To PostBecause there's 3 more quarters in a game against Thanos and the Black Order?Casual Narative IMO.
By Random Ass Username Go To PostTold you not to jinx your team. Still got one more game tho.
Jinx had nothing to do with the Rockets catching a L in game 6 that everybody expected. Vegas had them 13 pt dogs ffs.
I do agree nothing much matters until late in the game. Far too many early cries of "shook," words that must surely be eaten later.
But is it too much to ask that a team with a big early lead not leave the building at halftime?

Handily winning every quarter against one of the greatest teams of all time is a pretty big ask. Rockets played insane basketball on both ends of the floor in the first half just to be up 10. Getting smacked in the mouth in the second half sucks to see but the Warriors correctly attacked a tired 7 man rotation.

Houston had to get to the after-party.

HAHAHAHAHAHA I remember that shit
Genuine takes
Houston rode a hot hand from Gordon and Ariza early. But could never fully pull away.
Without CP3 Harden was allowed too many shitty ISO sets early in the second half.
Curry looked serviceable on defense.
Warriors looked to be switching less.
Draymond needs to figure out how to be an actual threat on offense again. He's getting highlighted as a big weakness. Particularly as Houston were only playing him for passing lanes, and he wasn't taking any shots at all.
Warriors were moving better off ball tonight.
This is probably good for the warriors over all. They haven't really been tested in a long time.

By shun Go To PostKevin Love is out for Game 7. It is amazing Lebron is willing himself this far.
The issue for the rockets will be the second half. Harden reliably turns to jelly when the minute count gets too high. I'm not sure what the solution is without CP3.
I thought D'Antoni learned that super short 7 man rotations are basura.

Did you know Bron and Horford have never lost a G7.
Think bron is 5- 0 and Horford is 4 - 0.
Hard to bet against LBJ in a G7, but man it's hard to bet against the Celtics at home, and for the Cavs on the road.
I hope Celtics win. I don't think Cavs have any chance against the W's. Nor do the Celtics this year. But a healthy Celtics next year, with finals experience already? Plus, they could play so free. No expectations at all.
By giririsss Go To PostDid you know Bron and Horford have never lost a G7.I really, really want the Celtics to win and bring balance to the league. But LBJ has beaten better teams solo before. Dude can win any single game he wants - its just a matter of if he wants to lol. If he pulled a Kobe after all this, no one would blame him

Al Horford has definitely lost a game 7 btw and he's been swept up plenty of times too. Brad Stevens can make anyone look good imo. Just look at how people turn out once they leave Boston.

By blackace Go To Postno Love is a tough lossI'm not sure if he was an overall net positive or not .. but at least he showed up.
It's so hard to bet against LBJ, but so hard to bet for the Cavs.
love is huge for their spacing. even if nance or tt plays great inside it doesn't replace the impact on the perimeter
korver and love were the only people on the roster worth chasing off the 3pt line

But he was a real sieve on the other end. Couldn't guard Horford at all. And when no one else was hitting shots there was no real spacing anyway. Celtics haven't been giving JR any respect there (not sure he deserves it). Nor G.Hill.
By DominicanPower Go To PostJust put Nance on Horford.Too obvious. Lue likes shit the hard way.
By DY_nasty Go To Postlove is huge for their spacing. even if nance or tt plays great inside it doesn't replace the impact on the perimeterLove is still good enough that you have to worry about him in general on O... Him not playing is huge

I also think Lue is too fucking dumb to coach up a tight game without multiple all-stars
doubling horford early had to some of the dumbest shit ever

1: 17 & 8 (.357 FG%, .250 3P%)
2: 22 & 15 (.500, .333)
3: 13 & 14 (.333 , .250) 4 tov
4: 9 & 11 (.250, .250) and 6 tov
5: 14 & 7 (.462, .286)
Makes sense that his 3pt% is low, they are actually defending love out at the 3pt line. But if that's so, then you'd rather see him abuse someone in the post (something he used to do). But There's an argument to be made there about the poor spacing. But if you can get a double team in the post, you create space for those guys.
Dunno. Just know his numbers haven't been great, and he's been bad defensively. And they always seem to do better with him sitting (though +- would disagree with that).
By giririsss Go To PostHas he been that good though? The Cavs are a rec center pick up team... they have no real gameplan besides high pick and rolls and dribble drive kick outs... the entire team plays shitty D.
