By Haz Go To PostI'm late to the party but just started to look into the Premier League and Football in general. The competitive structure of football is so different than the North American sports that I'm used to, but in a good way. It sounds way more interesting than the typical North American sports structure.I admire your optimism
With the World Cup coming up I'm going to start watching, hopefully I can get a better sense of the roles of the players and the rules of the sport. Also I'm hoping keeping an eye on this community here will help me learn more about it, because Football is definitely super interesting to me but I've never really just sat down and watched a few games consistently.

Welcome, feel free to ask any question you might have.
By Laboured Go To PostSpeaking of anime I watched Batman Ninja last night and I now strongly believe I deserve the Hell I am going to.Apparently, the English dub and subtitles tell a completely different story from the original Japanese dub.
The translation team only received a 6 page script that didn't make much sense so they wrote it in a way that made sense for them.
90% of the dialogue is different.

LF, my good buddy, I can assure you that there is not a script in the world that would make a difference.
Ahahaha. I don't even know which team to support at this point. I watched a bit of it last year and was interested in Everton. I just looked at the top ~10 teams, but I also don't want to be a bandwagoner by supporting Man City, Man Utd, Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea etc. I'll probably just try to catch as many games as I can when the season starts again, I believe in August?

It sounds way more interesting than the typical North American sports structure.Unfortunately, you are a bit too late for the leagues this season as all the positions have practically been wrapped up but the Champions League is still up for grabs. Tomorrow and Wednesday are the second legs of the semis with the final a couple of weeks later. It’s the best of the best of European football.

Everton is the footballing equivalent of a reoccuring herpes sore, mate, plus the don't have Klopp, who i hear is such a lovable and genuine guy.
By Laboured Go To PostSpeaking of anime I watched Batman Ninja last night and I now strongly believe I deserve the Hell I am going to.Have you tried Megalo Box? Like it, but mostly because it's simple and reminds me of the old animes I used to love.
Man it must be hard to get into a sport at a later age. I mean if you pick a big club to support people will surely hold that against you at all times. But you also don't wanna support some shitty club and be annoyed with the match every week. Best of luck mate.
You're always welcome to support Ajax of course.

Welcome.
May I suggest some videos to show you the greatest player ever.
Really is a shame you are late to the sport. He retired last year and the sport has sucked for the last year.
Here is some user testimonmy on the last page alone to prove my point.

You should support my team, Spurs. You'll have occasionally highs and miserable lows but we'll never do quite enough to win a trophy and so no-one can call you a glory hunter.
I'm new here as well by the way, hello.

Online friendlies and tournaments confirmed so our tournament will have the World Cup kits, squads, stadiums and ball.
Holy shit, EA is actually putting all 12 stadiums on the WC pack as well.
That's really impressive by their standards.

let's watch this awkwardness again
By Meier Go To PostThis photo is incredible. The box probably has Van Persie's heart inside.
By Xpike Go To PostProbably better we don't allow repeats so people just don't pick Germany/Brazil/Spain.There won't be. I am going to compile a ranking based on past tournament performances and that will influence the team choice, I am thinking of probably doing a draft where lower ranked players pick their teams first.
If we have any new users entering the tournament, they will be asked to play a couple of friendlies with ranked players to assess their position on the ranking.

That NAC shirt is beautiful. I gotta get one of those with one of the City kids' names on it. Dutch guys, are there any good sites you can recommend? It seems like NAC's web page has a fan shop section but it's for their physical location and not a web store. I might just be unable to find it though (some of the page is translated, some of it is not).
