I just can't believe the Wolves looked at the rest of their schedule and thought it would be a good idea to rush Jimmy Butler back for a playoff push. The next eight games are Boston, Golden State, at Washington, at San Antonio, Houston, Clippers, at New York, at Philadelphia.
There's not going to be playoffs to come back to.

By s y Go To PostThere definitely won't be any postseason with that attitude! 😡I mean, they're just not very good outside of Butler and Towns. Wiggins, Crawford, and Teague are problematic. (Tyus has seen his playing time cut since Butler went down. It's a bummer.) I'd be surprised if they managed to go 5-11 down the stretch, which nets them a 43-39 record. That's not enough in the West.

i wouldnt have rushed it even if the schedule is favorable. best case scenario is 2nd round exit?
By domino Go To Posti wouldnt have rushed it even if the schedule is favorable. best case scenario is 2nd round exit?2nd round exit for a team as young as the wolves is actually valuable. The experience of playing playoff ball that young shouldn't be discounted.
But not at the expense of an MVP caliber players knee's.
By blackace Go To PostPeople still think the Wolves are young?Their 3, Wiggins, KAT, Jimmy, Jimmy is 28, the others are 22.
Unless 22 is old now?
By giririsss Go To PostTheir 3, Wiggins, KAT, Jimmy, Jimmy is 28, the others are 22.So what you are saying is their player with the most upside in KAT is 22 and their best player is almost 30?
Unless 22 is old now?
And Thibs aged like every position besides C and SF...
As a team they aren't that young anymore
Wiggins and Towns are the only young guys that regularly play. Taj, Butler, Teague, Crawford are all old. Well, Jimmy is 28, but also just made the call to remove his meniscus, so that's cool.
By blackace Go To PostSo what you are saying is their player with the most upside in KAT is 22 and their best player is almost 30?I *think* BBRef's age for a team is weighted by minutes but I am not sure. Anyway, they have a list of the age of all teams here: https://www.basketball-reference.com/leagues/NBA_2018.html#all_misc_stats

By whatever metric they use, the Wolves are the eighth oldest team in the league.

Teague is probably the focal point of criticism for the team, but I don't know how much of that is "He's not Ricky" as it is the dude isn't that good. His inability to get Towns the ball, his generally poor court awareness, the awful defense, there's a lot there that draws ire.
He's a league average shooter, though, so I guess it was worth the millions and millions Thibs spent to get him.
So it's not worth getting play off experience for 2 out of 3 of your core players who are 22 yo because your role players are old.
Ok.

Ok.

Chieck Diallo had a nice fast-break dunk to close out the Mavs game and I really want to find a video of it to share.

Diallo was supposed to be what Bam Adebayo is
By Dark PhaZe Go To PostDiallo was supposed to be what Bam Adebayo isHe has taken longer than expected to learn how to play. Still has a long ways to go. Still, this was really fun and I need to find a better quality version of it:

Nice and he's still only 21, plenty of time to develop.
How is mirotic doing?
By Dark PhaZe Go To PostNice and he's still only 21, plenty of time to develop.Streaky on offense, but surprisingly a positive on defense. He gives a lot of effort, rebounds pretty well, and doesn't foul.
