S2 of The Crown was a step down imo, still really good though.
I've started watching Gommorah. Very good.

By Arnie Go To PostJust booked a flight from Rome to Berlin on the morning of the World Cup final for £20. How does an airline make money on that.
That was one of the most perplexing things about backpacking mainland Europe actually... how fucking cheap the travel was. I was getting 8 hour bus trips for like 9 quid, and flights like Budapest to Rome for like 40 euro. How?! The Uber to the fucking airport costs more then that here.
And then I got to England and a train from London to Manchester cost $70 quid. Wasn’t pleased.
This is a good explainer on how airlines price tickets. More focussed on the 'major' airlines rather than budget but still useful.

Every time I want to return home from London it costs more than it would to fly to Barcelona. Daylight robbery.

So who is everyones player of the season? KdB or Salah?
For a long time I would have said KdB - and he is still my favourite player in the league and imo still the best player in the league.
But I think I'd vote for Salah, just because of the individual impact he has had in so many games. It's basically Ronaldo 07/08 levels.

Although if Salah tops 40 goals for the season and we win the Champions League then Salah should win the Balon D’or
Starting in april there's also a Eurostar train running from London to Amsterdam directly. And I believe the pricing is about what one would pay for a plane ticket so that seems like fair competition. Train ride takes a bit longer. But on the plus side you're in central London and you don't have to do all the airport security stuff and coming early.
You still have to go through airport style security on the Eurostar, more or less.
But not having to go/come from the airport is a nice plus for sure.

Ah that I didn't know. Only went with the Thalys a couple of times. Between here and France you don't have all that security stuff on the train.
But yeah, really annoying you always have to take an expensive train to get to actual London if you arrive at Stansted or Gatwick.
Definitely KdB. He has been the most important player for Manchester City this season, and look how far they are from everyone at the moment.
Salah is a close 2nd though.

Salah for me, Clive.
Without him, Pool are 6th. KDB on the other hand, while important for city, is not as vital.

Expect me on the doorstep in April, Linius.
I can see arguments for both Salah and KDB, and I think either is deserving the title of the best player in the EPL. Don't think you'd find many unbiased people that would scream "robbed!" if one or the other got it.
By player of the season I assume you mean EPL. Cause otherwise goat is ahead of both of them. One of his most incredible seasons yet, which by his standards means a lot lol.

By Willkiller Go To PostNo way.
By Willkiller Go To PostAssuming he had a heart condition and shouldn't have been playing
Wow.
I assumed he had an undiagnosed heart issue because that’s usually the cause. I hope this doesn’t become a media circus. But
I also want to know

There really is no wrong answer between KDB and Salah but i would still give it to Salah because no one expected him to do what he is doing and there seems to be no way to stop him from scoring recently and he has single handedly changed the whole atmosphere around the club before which was all doom and gloom when Coutinho was about to leave in August. His performances have made sure no one gives a damn about Coutinho leaving and boosted everyones morale.
Have to say after watching Gommorah and given that this was a fit, young man dying in his sleep that was my first thought, rightly or wrongly. Hope it isn’t true because it makes a sad situation even sadder.
There’s a pub in central Amsterdam that shows all of the 3pms in HD, with creamy Dutch Heineken. Called The Three Sisters.

Just stupidly realised KdB could be one of the top 3 for Ballon DOr this season.
Probably wins it if City wins the CL or Belgium gets the World Cup.

KdB just edges Salah and DDG for me. There’s no way we’d be 18 points ahead if not for him and his vision and passing and presence in midfield. An astonishing player.
Salah speaks for himself and if it’s not us, I’d like to see him carry Pool to the CL title. A phenomenal player and a joy to watch.
DDG because if not for his incredible reactions and positioning and strong hands, United would be 10 - 15 points worse off.

By Bold 2 in One Go To PostNothing mental about my postWell yeah, it's not a crazy opinion, but I disagree.
Someone will write an article comparing all the best midfielders in football this year, and I won't be surprised if KdB comes out on top, or very close to it.
How about Ederson for POTY? Arguably just as important to Guardiola's system and this is his first season. Insane upgrade over Bravo from last season.
By FlutterPuffs Go To PostI don't think Ederson had to do anything special this season.uh
you realize having a GK that can play that well with his feet make Citeh's system work better?
